Fox News—White House on defense over new Benghazi emails, claims controversial ‘prep call’ not about attack:

The White House found itself on defense Wednesday following the release of emails tying a top aide to former U.N. ambassador Susan Rice’s controversial Sunday show statements after the Benghazi terror attack.

During those interviews, Rice erroneously blamed the attack on protests over an anti-Islam film. New emails indicate a White House adviser helped prep her for those appearances and pushed the “video” explanation — and now, the White House is facing credibility questions after having downplayed their role in Rice’s “talking points.”

During a heated briefing with reporters Wednesday afternoon, Press Secretary Jay Carney repeatedly tried to claim that the so-called “prep call” with Rice — as it was described in one email — was not about Benghazi. The prep session, he said, was just about the demonstrations elsewhere in the Muslim world that week.

“It is not about Benghazi — it is about the protests around the Muslim world,” Carney claimed.

SnyderTalk Comment: Carney, Obama, Rice, Clinton, and Kerry plus other Obama administration officials and former Obama administration officials face more than just “credibility questions”.  They face integrity questions in the minds of most people.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult for anyone to deny the deceitfulness, duplicity, and incompetence of the entire Obama administration team from top to bottom.  According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll, Obama’s approval rating is 41% and falling fast.  That’s a low for team Obama, but given the magnitude of Obama’s blunders throughout the world, he still has much more support than he deserves.

Regrettably, too few Americans keep up with the news; too many Americans support Obama regardless of his mammoth failures on every front; and far too many Americans are morally challenged, opinionated, and vocal.  There are enough of those people to prop up Obama no matter how foolish and dangerous his policies are and regardless of the fact that he and his family live like royalty at taxpayers’ expense.

The ignorance of typical Obama supporters is breathtaking, but his rapidly declining poll numbers suggest that things may be changing.  I certainly hope so.

J.R. Dunn: Roe and Gay Marriage— Behold a runaway judiciary.  One that is forcing an unwanted socio-sexual innovation in violation of tradition, religious values, and simple logic, on the country at large, with the support of media, academic, and political elites with no evident regard for the consequences. Gay marriage? Yes — and in detail.  But in fact, we’ve seen the same scenario before, within living memory of many AT readers. Legalized abortion was forced on the country in 1973 by identical means.  There was no public debate, no crisis that had to be met, no reason to establish it by legal duress except that the liberal elites felt like it and thought they could get away with it.

Jeannie DeAngelis: Obama’s $40 Million Travel Tab—While the American people continue to struggle to survive in any way they can, the Obamas live like leeches on the blood, sweat, and tears of every hardworking person. Days after taxpayers found out that the hotel tab for just two days of Michelle Obama’s eight-day China jaunt cost $222K for 144 rooms at the Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu, educational foundation Judicial Watch released a report revealing that vacation travel costs to transport the first family around the globe have topped $40 million.  According to the U.S. Air Force, just two of Barry-the-Duffer’s recent golf outings have cost “north of $3 million dollars.”

Thanks to the ignorance of the American people, the Obama’s are living in the lap of luxury at taxpayers’ expense—anything goes.

David Harsanyi: The Real Problem with Kerry’s “Apartheid” Myth—It’s not just the incendiary use of “apartheid” that’s the problem, but the well-worn canard about Israel that Kerry rests his position on. The theory goes like this: Arab birthrates in Israel and the Palestinian territories will continue to be higher than those of the Jews. And at some point, Arabs will become the majority in all the areas that Israel governs and then Jews will be impelled to act like a bunch of Afrikaner Brownshirts to survive. There are two key problems with this theory: 1. The demography apocalypse isn’t happening. 2. Even if it was, it would have absolutely nothing to do with today’s peace negotiations or the status of the territories administered by Israel. For decades Israelis have been hearing how they will be outnumbered, yet the population trends haven’t changed much. The demographic time bomb is a dud.

Dror Eydar: Apartheid and the theory of lies— U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry strikes again. In an interview with Channel 2 News, he warned of another intifada if peace efforts fail. Then, in Munich, he warned us that the risk of boycotts would intensify if peace efforts fail. Now he is warning us that we will soon become an apartheid state if, you guessed it, peace efforts fail. This massive lie is coming from the American secretary of state, the so-called “impartial” mediator.

Jennifer Rubin: What Kerry Doesn’t Say—President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry never tire of telling Israel all the ills that will befall it if it doesn’t make peace with the Palestinians. However, they studiously ignore the Palestinians’ refusal to embrace a two-state solution. The problem is a mind-set that insists there is something Israel can do that will unlock peace. In fact, Israel has repeatedly done what is required – offered statehood and relinquishment of Gaza and virtually all of the West Bank. The barrier to peace is a Palestinian Authority that still dreams of wiping Israel out and a Hamas still engaged in terrorism.

Johnathan Topaz: Charles Krauthammer: John Kerry line ‘appalling’— Charles Krauthammer said he agrees with Sen. Ted Cruz that Secretary of State John Kerry should resign. The Fox News contributor was responding to the top U.S. diplomat’s comments from last Friday that Israel is at risk of becoming “an apartheid state” unless a peace deal is reached soon. The comments were first reported by The Daily Beast.

Christa Case Bryant: How Secretary Kerry’s bid for peace ended up in tatters— In June 2013, Israelis and Palestinians agreed to nine months of “sustained, continuous, and substantive negotiations on the core issues,” with the goal of reaching a peace deal by April 29, 2014. Israel agreed to release 104 veteran Palestinian prisoners in four phases. Palestinians were to refrain from unilateral moves, including joining United Nations treaties and conventions that would bolster its claims to statehood – already sanctioned by a 138-9 UN vote in November 2012 – and potentially enable it to bring war-crimes charges against Israeli leaders in the International Criminal Court. By winter, with a peace deal seemingly out of reach, expectations were lowered. The goal was downgraded to creating a US framework outlining realistic meeting points between Israelis and Palestinians on issues from borders to refugees, based on extensive conversations with each side.

Amos Yadlin: The United States, Israel, and the Possibility of Formulatingan Outline for a Final Agreement with Iran— The interim agreement between Iran and the world powers, which entered into force in January 2014, was designed to allow six months of negotiations on a final agreement. Now, halfway through this period, it appears that Tehran and Washington have chosen respective strategies to shape the final agreement and market it as a strategic accomplishment. This situation requires both a more flexible Israeli position and improved US-Israeli coordination so that any agreement reached is tolerable for Israel. A tolerable deal for Israel must include: dismantlement of most of the centrifuges, with a limited number of first generation centrifuges left in place; limit of the stockpiles of enriched material in Iran to a low level and a small quantity (less than what is needed for one bomb); dismantlement of the enrichment facility near Qom; conversion of the Arak reactor so that it cannot be used for military purposes; an answer to open questions on the military dimensions of the Iranian nuclear program and inspections at Parchin, where it is suspected that Iran has carried out actions of a military nature; and a decision that the agreement will be approved in the Security Council under Chapter 7 of the UN Charter and will be valid for many years, which would ensure a substantive change in Iran’s strategic conduct.

Richard Kemp: The Fatah-Hamas Agreement— There is the criminal failure of the international community, as both accomplice and accessory before the fact, to make any meaningful effort to prevent endless salvoes of terrorist rocket attacks against Israeli civilians for over nine years. As we saw with the Iranian arms shipment aboard the Klos-C last month, Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism continues unabated — even as the international community is rehabilitating its extremist regime.

Christa Case Bryant: Learning to say sorry in the Middle East— In a region better known for harboring old hatreds than saying, “I’m sorry,” this was a seminal week. On the eve of the 99th anniversary of the deportation and massacre of Armenians under Ottoman rule, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan conveyed the country’s “condolences” to the grandchildren of the 600,000 to 1.5 million killed in what many regard as a genocide. And just as Israel began marking Holocaust Remembrance Day, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called the killing of 6 million Jews “the most heinous crime” of the modern era and expressed “sympathy with the families of the victims and many other innocent people who were killed by the Nazis.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Saying “I’m sorry” while you are actively engaged in terrorist acts isn’t an apology.  It’s called deception, and it’s a military and diplomatic tool.  As the old adage says, “Actions speak louder than words.”  Another adage applies here, too: “Your actions speak so loudly that I can’t hear what you say.”  The bottom line: look at actions first.  If words don’t fall into line with actions, the words are meaningless.

Bill Clinton: Israel offered Temple Mount to Palestinians in 2000

SnyderTalk: I hope that the Temple Mount was offered because Ehud Barak knew that Yasser Arafat would not accept any deal no matter how “good” it was.  I suspect that is correct, but candidly, I would not want to have to explain to Yahweh why I used Mount Moriah as a bargaining chip or why I offered to give it up for a tenuous security arrangement.

“For now I have chosen and consecrated this House/Temple that My Name may be there forever. My eyes and My heart will be there for all time.” (2 Chronicles 7:16)  That doesn’t sound like an ambivalent statement to me.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 5: 1-5

1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created. 3 When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth. 4 Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
