Steve Apfel—The lie that broke Israel’s back:

It was November 2012, in the dead of winter, when the ghoul of a lie came back to haunt Israel. The specter, a paper tiger with young biting teeth, appeared in the assembly hall of the United Nations where diplomats are perpetually at daggers drawn. The ghoul was called ‘Observer with non-member status.’ This made it not quite real but not imaginary either, hence young teeth indicative of the latent threat it posed. But just for now Israel had to contend with a quasi-state.

“A victory for the values of truth,” exclaimed Sudan’s diplomat after UN members voted to give Palestine that halfling status. In General Assembly ‘speak’ what he meant was a defeat for truth and a victory for a lie of long standing. For Israel it meant a threat, of historic proportions. For international law it meant relegation to a fun league. For the ruling clique that wanted the UN to create a new state it meant second prize. For nine-tenths of member countries it meant one step closer to rescinding the right of Israel to exist. For America and Europe it meant a new arm-twisting lever to get Israel to do their bidding. For all players it meant a whole new ballgame.

Caroline Glick— John Kerry’s Jewish best friends—… In other words, the future leaders of that state – from the PLO, Hamas and Islamic Jihad alike — are so imbued with genocidal Jew hatred that they insist that all 650,000 Jews living in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria must be forcibly ejected from their homes. These Jewish towns, cities and neighborhoods must all be emptied before the Palestinians whose cause Kerry so wildly champions will even agree to set up their Apartheid state.

Boaz Bismuth: Apartheid? Not in our neck of the woods— In December, as the world was saying its goodbyes to Nelson Mandela, I visited the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. The visit helped me understand the conditions in which South Africa’s first black president lived. The museum is constructed to give visitors the personal sense of living under apartheid. It is an uneasy feeling, thankfully alleviated upon leaving the building and seeing blacks, whites and people of all colors walking together along the same paths.

Jacob Kamaras: Say What? Top 10 Controversial Kerry Comments on Israel— 1. Israel could become an “apartheid state” if a two-state solution doesn’t pan out. 2. Israel announced 700 new settlement units and “poof, that was sort of the moment” the peace talks were imperiled. 3. It’s a “mistake” to keep demanding that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state. 4. The Jewish state will face more boycotts and international isolation if peace talks fail.

SnyderTalk Comment: A reasonable person can conclude very easily from Kerry’s consistent remarks and his actions that he is a closet anti-Semite.  If not, he’s incompetent and shouldn’t be Secretary of State or senator, but that’s another story.

The people of Massachusetts, New York, California, and Illinois, for example, have a bad habit of sending carpetbaggers, power-hungry wannabes, and perverts to Congress.  Regrettably, they believe that they should be President of the United States, and they are the darlings of the Democratic Party.

It should come as no surprise that the people in those states and several others are among the least Bible literate in the nation, and they are among the most critical of those who hold to a biblical moral standard.  As a group under the Democratic Party umbrella, they tend to think that our country’s major problem is that we call ourselves a “Christian nation”, and they have set their sights on changing our country to reflect their hedonistic philosophy and perverse lifestyles.

This is the point: the United States today is not a Christian nation.  That’s not my opinion. It’s a fact.  The legalization of sodomy and the widespread support for murdering unborn infants by the millions on the altar of self-indulgence is proof, but in the minds of people who are anti-Christian to the core and milquetoast Christians (if there is such a thing which I seriously doubt), we are still “too Christian”.

The biblical warning about dogs returning to their own vomit (Proverbs 26: 11 and 2 Peter 2: 22) is true.  We are happily repeating our errors and adding insult to injury.  Stated another way, Yahweh is judging the United States right now, and we hardly even notice.  That causes me to tremble because Yahweh knows how to get people’s attention, and eventually He will.

Prof. Abraham Ben-Zvi: Kerry fails to learn history— Since John Kerry was sworn in as U.S. secretary of state in February 2013, American diplomacy has shown symptoms of schizophrenia. On one hand, the Obama administration’s policy of conciliation — weak and reactive — was taken up a level. On the other hand, in the Israeli-Palestinian arena, Kerry acted frenetically in an intense and relentless effort to achieve a breakthrough. So while the president and his secretary of state, faced with the repeated use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime, passed the ball (and prestige) to the court of Russian President Vladimir Putin, they acted entirely differently on the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.

Ruthie Blum: Promoting propaganda— At Tel Aviv University on Monday, Baroness Caroline Cox, a cross-bench member of the British House of Lords, gave a talk sponsored by the Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security and the Israel Institute for Strategic Studies, run by Martin Sherman. A passionate defender of human rights and the rule of law, Cox has spent the bulk of her career fighting forces that threaten to undermine Western democracy in general, and that of her country in particular. The focus of her lecture was the spread of political Islam in the U.K. and Africa, a phenomenon that has taken up much of her parliamentary and humanitarian work.

Khaled Abu Toameh: Abbas Pumps New Life Into Hamas— Abbas’s “reconciliation” with Hamas is most probably aimed at exerting more pressure on Israel to make far-reaching concessions at the negotiating table. But Abbas’s move will soon prove to be counterproductive. Hamas’s goal is to seize control over the Palestinian Authority and replace Israel with an Islamic empire. Hamas has already made it clear that the deal with Abbas does not mean that it would change its ideology or renounce terrorism.

Jerold Auerbach: Peace Now or Never?— Respected Ha’aretz journalist Ari Shavit has made a startling confession: he was wrong about the prospects for peace with the Palestinians that he, like so many Israelis and diaspora Jews on the left, has vigorously advocated. Ever since Labor party politician Yossi Beilin revealed, for his private scrutiny, the peace plan to which Mahmoud Abbas had ostensibly agreed seventeen years ago, Shavit has been a true believer in peace now.

Robert Fulford: The BDS Smokescreen— The people who defame Israel and wish to undermine its status in the world are not anti-Semites – or so they will tell you, every chance they get. Their denial of anti-Semitism is essential to their moral position. In their own view they are good progressives, therefore absolutely innocent of racial or religious discrimination. Their propaganda campaign, which they hope eventually will escalate into economic warfare, is intended merely to reshape Israel’s policies. What they oppose, they want to assure us, is Israel’s position in the West Bank. Their increasingly loud and self-confident BDS movement (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) is not, as they tell it, a struggle against the Jews. They simply want to bring Israel into line with enlightened leftist opinion in Europe, the U.S. and Canada.

Einat Wild: Two Separate Days – Two Separate Meanings—Today, the people of Israel marked their Holocaust Remembrance Day. Next week, Israel will celebrate their day of Independence. Many have come to see the two days as causally linked: Israel exists because of the Holocaust and without it, it would not have come into being. This view is common to both lovers of Israel and those who wish it never existed and (perhaps in the future) will not again. The former “credit” the Holocaust. The latter “blame” it. Both make the same assumption:  The Holocaust, therefore Israel. They are both deeply and dangerously wrong.

Rabbi Shraga Simmons: Iran’s Cry for Freedom— For the past 35 years, Manda Zand-Ervin has been crusading on behalf of 77 million Iranians – an entire society – “held hostage” by a fanatical mullah regime that has denied the Iranian people their basic freedoms. As documented by human rights groups, widespread arrests, tortures and executions have been carried out against journalists and dissidents who speak out in the name of civil rights, women’s rights, and even religious rights. Iran hangs more people per capita than any other country in the world; the majority have no access to a lawyer or jury. Under the allegedly “moderate” President Rouhani, 687 Iranians were executed in 2013, with the rate rapidly rising. “The Iranian people have been terrorized into submission,” says Manda.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 4: 23-26

23 Lamech said to his wives, “Adah and Zillah, listen to my voice, you wives of Lamech, give heed to my speech, for I have killed a man for wounding me; and a boy for striking me; 24 if Cain is avenged sevenfold, then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.” 25 Adam had relations with his wife again; and she gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, for, she said, “God has appointed me another offspring in place of Abel, for Cain killed him.” 26 To Seth, to him also a son was born; and he called his name Enosh. Then men began to call upon the name of Yahweh.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

  • Stand! is a suspense novel that exposes the lies, corruption, and greed underlying the theory that man-made CO2 emissions are responsible for global warming.  Professor Wes Carlyle and Karen Sterling, his research collaborator, carefully scan the audience for their would-be attacker—a member of the enviro-gestapo who has been following them for days.  Wes spots his man in the back of the room leaning against the wall.  Suddenly, another man in the audience steps forward and moves toward Karen at a menacing pace.  With a vicious stroke, he swings a billy club at her head.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide.  It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
