September 28, 2022 SnyderTalk—His Name is Yahweh

“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

His Name is Yahweh

Listen to “Shining Faces, Part 2” from Unlimited Grace with Bryan Chapell: Shining Faces, Part 2.

I remember when I started my journey to spread the word that Yahweh is the Name of our Elohim and that His Name is important. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to take on the assignment, but I was shocked at the response of Christian preachers that I talked with personally. Most of them looked at me like I was part of a cult.

The first clear sign to me that I was having an effect was an email I received from a group of Nigerian preachers. They wanted my permission to copy and share my book His Name is Yahweh with their congregations. I gave them permission, but I told them that I would also post the manuscript for the book on the internet. It is available in PDF format for free on hisnameisyahweh.org and snydertalk.com. That was more than a decade ago. Since then, Yahweh’s Name has spread all over Nigeria. See the Nigerian singers below. English is the national language of Nigeria. They are singing in their native tongue:

I know that Yahweh’s Name is spreading in many other countries as well: Countries like Indonesia, Iran, Russia, and China. None of those countries have blocked either snydertalk.com or hisnameisyahweh.org on the internet. They could do it, but they haven’t done it.

When I started this journey, I had no idea that it would take so long for the message to gain traction. I underestimated the power of Christian tradition. That was foolish. I don’t do it anymore. Christian tradition is a great obstacle to Yahweh and His message to believers. But finally, I am beginning to hear preachers in the U.S. use the correct Name of our Elohim. It’s Yahweh. Hopefully, one day soon they will begin to tell their congregations that the Person they call “Jesus” is Yahweh. He is our one and only Savior. See Isaiah 43:11.

“I, even I, am Yahweh. There is no savior besides Me.” (Isaiah 43:11)

A few days ago, I heard John MacArthur use Yahweh’s Name several times on his radio program Grace to You. That’s a big deal. MacArthur is a great preacher with a large audience. Over the decades that I have listened to Grace to You, I have heard MacArthur refer to Elohim by name many times. Typically he says “Jehovah,” but on September 26, 2020, he said “Yahweh.” Interestingly, he pronounced it two ways: Once with a slight pause between “Yah” and “weh” and once with no pause. In Hebrew, slight pauses between syllables in words are common, but in English, those pauses don’t exist. So, MacArthur said Yahweh’s Name correctly in Hebrew and in English. Listen to the sermon and see if you can detect the two slightly different pronunciations: Our King Will Not Be Mocked (#1).

For my Jewish readers, this is not a New Testament revelation. Yahweh told Jeremiah that the Messiah’s Name is Yahweh. See Jeremiah 23:5-6:

“Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch. He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. This is His Name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23:5-6)

HalleluYah!

HalleluYah means “praise Yahweh.” It is a combination of two Hebrew words: Hallelu (praise) and Yah. Yah is the abbreviated form of the Name Yahweh used in the Bible, particularly in the Psalms. It’s like using Don instead of Donald. Some people who say “HalleluYah” spell it “HalleluJah.” There is no “J” in Hebrew. The letter “J” didn’t enter the English language until the early-1600s AD, and it didn’t gain widespread acceptance until much later.

The Messiah is Yahweh. His Name was never Jesus. At birth, He was given the Aramaic name Yeshua. In English, sometimes it’s spelled Y’shua and Yahshua. Yeshua means Yahweh saves or Yahweh is salvation.

Please read His Name is Yahweh.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
