January 30, 2023 SnyderTalk—Many Preachers Don’t know the Difference Between “Palestinian” Propaganda and the Truth

“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

Many Preachers Don’t know the Difference Between “Palestinian” Propaganda and the Truth

Please watch the short video below. It will help you understand the difference between “Palestinian” propaganda and the truth:

“Palestinian” propaganda and the truth are light-years apart. Just about everything “Palestinian” leaders say and do for public consumption is entirely fabricated.

That’s not my opinion. It’s a fact, and it’s a fact that every informed global leader understands. Still, leaders of nations continue to pay homage to the “Palestinian” cause as though it was a noble and honorable pursuit, and they continue to pour money into it as though it was worth supporting.

I want to share a true story with you that should inform your thinking. Before I begin, I need to explain why I use quotation marks in this editorial every time I refer to “Palestinians”.

Many if not most of the people we call “Palestinians” today have nothing to do with the land we call Israel. Yasser Arafat, founder of the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization), was an Egyptian. Before he founded the PLO in 1964, the people we call “Palestinians” today were called “Arabs”.

The sole purpose of the PLO is to destroy Israel. That is not my opinion. It’s explained fully in “The Palestinian Charter”.

Fatah and Hamas are the two most prominent political parties representing “Palestinians” today. Fatah rules in the West Bank, and Hamas rules in Gaza. Fatah is associated with the original PLO. Hamas was created after Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in 2005. Its goal is to challenge the PLO for leadership of the so-called “Islamic resistance movement”. That movement includes a number of political parties. They compete with each other for leadership of the “Palestinian” cause, and their competition turns into virtual war between the political parties in the West Bank and Gaza on a regular basis. Those mini wars are not typically discussed in the Western media, but they have been ongoing since the PLO was founded.

In this editorial, I will not discuss all the Islamic resistance movements in Israel today. I will simply make 3 points about all of them in general. It would take a book to explain the situation fully:

  1. Thanks to the ignorance of Western donors, there is a lot of money to be made by representing “Palestinians”. At this point, many of the leaders of the various Islamic resistance groups are billionaires. They got rich by pilfering donations to the “Palestinian” cause. That’s common knowledge in the Middle East and among global leaders. For examples, see the articles below:
  2. Most of the people who call themselves “Palestinians” are malcontents that no Arab country wants to absorb. It’s easy to understand why the leaders of Arab countries  refuse to take them in. Wherever “Palestinians” call home turns into a war zone.
  3. The various “Islamic resistance movements” are very much like crime syndicates in the U.S., and the competing political parties in the movement are very much like competing crime families in the Mafia. Each family wants to call the shots, lead the other families, and get filthy rich in the process. They fight among themselves for control of the movement more than they fight against Israel. Those “fights” are like gangland wars in U.S. cities where the Mafia has established itself. Ordinary “Palestinians” die almost every day in those skirmishes. Some of them are butchered and their dead bodies are hung up on poles as examples for people to see if they support the wrong party. You don’t see much about any of these things in the Western media because they are not consistent with the approved “Palestinian” narrative.

The Preacher

While I taught at the University of Virginia, I got to know a preacher from Charlottesville. He and I were not close friends. He was a good friend of a good friend of mine.

One day, the preacher and I were talking, and he told me that he had learned that I was spending a lot of time in Israel. That was true. I was writing a book that turned out to be His Name is Yahweh, and I needed to gather information in Israel to do justice to the project. By that time, I was well underway with the book, and I knew a lot of facts that people don’t appreciate if all they hear and see is “Palestinian” propaganda.

The preacher told me that he had visited Israel and that he had seen the plight of the “Palestinians” firsthand. He said that with a look on his face that suggested pride and certainty. Turns out he had gotten to know a “Palestinian” who had immigrated to the U.S., and that person had helped him plan his trip.

There is no doubt about the fact that ordinary “Palestinians” suffer, but their suffering is a direct result of actions taken by their own leaders. In the West Bank, the Fatah Party is corrupt through and through. In Gaza, Hamas is corrupt, too.

Both Fatah and Hamas use ordinary “Palestinians” as fodder in their campaigns to destroy Israel. I’ll give you some examples of what I mean, but there are many others. Let it suffice to say that things are not what they appear to be in the Western media.

Hamas is at War with Israel

As I said, Hamas has been at war with Israel since soon after Israel’s Prime Minister Ariel Sharon made the decision in 2005 to unilaterally withdraw from Gaza. That gave “Palestinians” in Gaza the opportunity to elect their own leaders, and they elected Hamas.

Hamas is the name that most people in the West know, but Hamas’ real name is “The Islamic Resistance Movement”. Click here to read the Hamas Charter.

Hamas is like the Gestapo in Nazi Germany. Hamas rules by edict and enforces its edicts with violence. Summary executions and torture of ordinary “Palestinians” who don’t toe the party line are commonplace. For example, playing music is forbidden, even at weddings. See “Gaza falls quiet as Hamas bans street concerts”.

To enforce its ban on music, Hamas sends in armed thugs to shoot and kill “Palestinians” in Gaza who dare to attend weddings where music is being played, and they do it with gusto. Wanton violence and killing are parts of “Palestinian” culture. See the video below:

Hamas and Fatah are at War with Each Other

Hamas isn’t just at war with Israel. Hamas is at war with Fatah as well. Friction between the two groups plays out in the daily lives of “Palestinians” in the West Bank and Gaza. As I said, lots of ordinary “Palestinians” have been killed by Hamas and Fatah if they are caught between the opposing forces or if they support the wrong side.

The war between Hamas and Fatah for control of the Islamic resistance movement has been ongoing since Hamas took control of Gaza in 2007, and it shows no signs of letting up. In fact, each year the fighting intensifies. See the video below:

Back to Hamas and Israel

Although there is constant friction between Israel and Hamas, the situation reaches a boiling point when Hamas fires rockets into Israel indiscriminately. I should point out that most of the rockets are provided by Iran.

When Hamas leaders determine that they need more publicity and/or more money from ignorant Western donors, they escalate tension by firing barrages of rockets into Israeli towns and cities. In due course, Israel has no choice except to respond, and the Western media covers it like it was anything but the staged event that it is.

Hamas leaders know how to pull the heartstrings of ignorant Western donors. The staging areas for the rocket barrages are in and around hospitals, schools, and other public buildings. Rockets and ammunition are stored in those buildings as well.

For publicity purposes, Hamas rounds up “Palestinian” children and ties them to fences and trees near those locations. When Israel responds, the children are in harm’s way, and they are there because Hamas put them there so Western journalists can focus on children being killed.

Israeli leaders know what is taking place, so they announce well in advance what buildings they will hit and when they will do it. That gives innocent parties time to flee, but many of them are not allowed to flee. Hamas wants to make sure that some of them remain in harm’s way.

To people with a Western mindset, that seems unthinkable, but Hamas leaders don’t have a Western mindset. As I said, ordinary “Palestinians” including “Palestinian” children are fodder for the Hamas cause.

All of this is common knowledge for Western journalists in the Middle East, but it is not publicized by most of them because it betrays the message that they want to convey: Hamas and Fatah good, Israel bad. That’s the extent of most Westerners’ knowledge about Hamas, Fatah, and Israel.

Getting Back to the Preacher

The “Palestinian” who helped to plan the preacher’s visit made sure he saw things that support the Hamas narrative. When there is a lull in fighting between Hamas and Israel, there is plenty of carnage to be seen, and that’s what the preacher saw. He had no idea that all of it was choreographed for Western consumption.

The preacher bought the Hamas narrative hook, line, and sinker and became a “useful idiot” for Hamas when he returned to the United States. I doubt that he expected to encounter a person like me when he started telling me his story. It was a bunch of lies, but he didn’t know it. I challenged him on every point and presented facts that diametrically opposed everything he said.

The preacher could not respond because all he “knew” was what he had seen and been told by a Hamas operative in the United States. He had a deer in the headlights look as he stumbled around searching for something to say.

I expect more than that from preachers. They are supposed to know what Yahweh said in the Bible. He should have known that Israel’s enemies will do things that are designed to convey messages that are blatantly false and anti-Israel at the core.

There is a spiritual war taking place right in front of our eyes. Satan is determined to destroy Israel because all of Yahweh’s promises were made to and through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel. The preacher was oblivious to the connection between Satan and Hamas and Fatah and others who have pledged to “wipe Israel off the map”. That’s what the mullahs in Iran say they intend to do.

Yahweh is determined to protect Israel and draw the people of Israel close to Him. He’s doing that every day, but it’s a slow process. Useful idiots like the preacher don’t know whose side they are own, but ignorance is no excuse. If you take sides against Yahweh, you are making a tragic mistake. That’s what the preacher did. He was betraying Yahweh, but he didn’t have a clue. In my mind’s eye, I can still see his smug smile while he stumbled around trying to think of something to say in response to the facts I told him about.

I felt sorry for the preacher but not sorry enough for him to let him get away with spreading lies. The fact that the preacher didn’t know they were lies was irrelevant to Yahweh and to me. He should have known better, but he didn’t. My opinion of him dropped to the floor in an instant.

The U.N. is Huge Part of the Problem, not the Solution

The United Nations is deeply involved in this situation and is a huge part of the problem. For example,

  • The United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has once again requested international financial aid. This is the same organization whose workers have been promoting violence and antisemitism on social media.
  • UNRWA has since done absolutely nothing to help the “refugees” move on with their lives and seek a better future for themselves or their families.
  • “Almost all of [the incorrectly labeled Palestinians in Gaza] have been born in Gaza, their parents have been born in Gaza, their grandparents have been born in Gaza… they were never displaced an inch. Yet, every day they hear, they learn, and they get an official stamp from the UN agency that says: ‘That’s not your home. You might have lived here all your life, but your home is there, just across the fence. That’s your real home [Israel], and it was taken from you.” — Einat Wilf, former Israeli Member of Knesset, December 1, 2015.
  • The Geneva-based independent human rights group UN Watch has uncovered evidence of UNRWA staff incitement which clearly violate the agency’s own rules as well as its proclaimed values of intolerance for racism, discrimination or antisemitism.
  • Meanwhile, in 2021, the US government confirmed its “failure to ensure that taxpayer aid dollars sent to the Palestinian government did not ultimately make their way to terrorists.”
  • Terrorist groups in Gaza, such as Hamas, have continued to build terror tunnels under UNRWA schools, to use the children as human shields if Israel retaliates after it is attacked — as Hamas member Abu Khaled, openly admitted in December 2021.
  • “UNRWA’s procurement contracts suggest that funds are already flowing to PFLP affiliates,” wrote foreign policy expert Julia Shulman.
  • “[T]he Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act (PATA)…. prohibits assistance to the PA unless the administration certifies that ‘no ministry, agency, or instrumentality of the Palestinian Authority is effectively controlled by Hamas'” — Matthew Zweig, Foundation for Defense of Democracies, June 2021.
  • Commenting on the Biden administration decision to restore the financial aid, UN Watch said that now is the time for the US to demand that “neutrality, accountability and transparency” Secretary Antony Blinken paraded.
  • It does not seem, however, that UNRWA has taken far-reaching and drastic measures to end the incitement to violence and antisemitism. In fact, it has not taken any at all.
  • It is clear that UNRWA, like many other UN agencies, has become part of the problem, not part of the solution. Instead of seeking ways to solve the problem of the so-called refugees, UNRWA has perpetuated and inflated it…. Instead of promoting peace and non-violence, UNRWA employees have been doing the reverse…. UNRWA donors might consider these evasions before they sign the next check to one of the UN’s most incompetent and corrupt organizations.

See “UNRWA is Part of the Problem – Not the Solution”.

For what it’s Worth

There are lots of ignorant preachers in the world. Many of them live in the United States. Their ignorance doesn’t stop them for spewing “Palestinian” hatred and bald-faced lies.

One more thing: You can’t trust the U.N. when it comes to “Palestinian” refugees. The U.N. is in the “Palestinians'” pockets. The UNRWA is an appendage of Hamas and Fatah and other Islamic resistance movements. That is common knowledge in the Middle East. It should be common knowledge in the rest of the world, too.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
