Yahweh Did Not Ordain the Catholic Church
People who say they are Catholic should know something about the Catholic Church. This short video is a good place to begin:
Yahweh did not ordain the Catholic Church. The Roman Emperor Constantine did.
Constantine was not a believer. It is rumored that he made a deathbed confession of faith, but that’s not certain. His mother, Helena, probably was a believer.
Peter was not the first pope. He died in Rome. He was executed long before Constantine was born.
Not once did Peter make an attempt to start a new religion. None of the other apostles did, either. The thought of starting a new religion never entered their minds.
If you haven’t read The Trilogy, you should. Yahweh never gave anyone the authority to establish a new church or a new religion. People did those things on their own. They are not from Yahweh.
The religious leaders in Jerusalem at the time of the Messiah hated Him and wanted Him eliminated. Why did they hate Him?
They hated Him because He told them and the people the truth about the religion the religious leaders had created. He told them that it was not from Yahweh.
See John 8: 31-38:
31 So the Messiah was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
33 They [the religious leaders] answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?”
34 The Messiah answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. 36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. 37 I know that you are Abraham’s descendants; yet you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. 38 I speak the things which I have seen with My Father; therefore you also do the things which you heard from your father.”
In verse 31 when the Messiah said, “If you continue in My word”, He was referring to the Tanach or the Old Testament. It contains the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings. They are from Yahweh. They are Yahweh’s word. When the Messiah referred to the Tanach as “My word”, He was telling them that He is Yahweh.
During the Babylonian captivity that started in 586 BC, Jewish religious leaders began substituting man-made traditions (religion) for Yahweh’s word. It’s called many things: Halacha, the Oral Law, the Oral Traditions, and the traditions of the Jews. They all refer to the same thing, and Halacha is not sanctioned by Yahweh.
The most glaring departure in Halacha from Yahweh’s word is the prohibition against saying “Yahweh”. Yahweh didn’t forbid saying His Name. In fact, He commanded us to declare His Name to the world. Not only did the Jewish religious leaders prohibit saying “Yahweh”, they defined blasphemy as saying “Yahweh” and imposed the death penalty on anyone who dared to say it without permission from them.
It should interest you to know that the Messiah was convicted of blasphemy in the Sanhedrin and sentenced to death for saying “Yahweh”. According to Roman law, the Sanhedrin could not impose the death penalty, so they needed Pontius Pilate’s help. As the Roman governor, he had the authority to impose the death penalty on the Messiah, and he did.
Putting it bluntly, Jewish religious leaders abandoned Yahweh’s word completely and substituted man-made traditions in its place. In verse 38 when the Messiah told the religious leaders “therefore you also do the things which you heard from your father,” He was telling them that their traditions came from Satan.
If you doubt that, take a look at John 8: 44-47:
44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of Elohim hears the words of Elohim; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of Elohim.”
The Jewish religious leaders in Jerusalem hated the Messiah, Yahweh, because He threatened their economic, social, and political standing. In other words, He threatened their livelihoods.
That’s why they hated Him and that’s why they wanted Him dead. They thought that eliminating the Messiah would eliminate their problem. They were wrong. The Messiah’s death, burial, and resurrection were part of Yahweh’s plan. His death was the atoning sacrifice that Yahweh required for our salvation. People who have faith in Him appropriate that precious gift, the gift of salvation.
The Catholic Church has done the same thing. It has abandoned Yahweh’s word, and in its place, Catholic leaders have substituted man-made traditions. There are many examples of this, but the most striking example is the deification of Mary, the Messiah’s mother.
That is idolatry. It did not come from Yahweh. It couldn’t have because it violates the 1st of the Ten Commandments:
“I am Yahweh your Elohim. You shall have no other elohim before Me.”
Next, Catholic leaders declared that the pope is the only person who can speak for Yahweh, and they refer to him as “holy father”. To believe either of those things, you have to ignore Yahweh’s word completely or be totally ignorant about it. Yahweh did not give the pope authority on earth to do anything.
If Yahweh didn’t do it, who did? The answer is simple. Satan did it.
Again, Yahweh did not ordain the Catholic Church. It is not from Him. Read The Trilogy, and while you are at it, read His Name is Yahweh: Revised Edition. You’ll be glad you did.

Finally, did the Messiah say that He is Yahweh? The answer is YES! See John 8: 58:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.”
That is not a great translation. This translation is better:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham existed, I AM.”
On that occasion without saying the Name Yahweh, the Messiah told the Jewish religious leaders that He is Yahweh. He created Abraham. He is the one and only Creator, the “I AM” who met Moses on Mount Sinai and spoke to him from a burning bush.
The Jewish religious leaders got the message. See John 8: 59:
Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but the Messiah hid Himself and went out of the temple.
If you want to create controversy, just tell the truth. You don’t need to do anything else.
I’ve told you the truth.
