“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

A Few Simple Questions that Any Preacher Should be Able to Answer Correctly

Below are a few simple questions that any preacher should be able to answer correctly. If you are a preacher, please read the questions and think about your answers:

  1. In Isaiah 43:11, Yahweh said, “I, even I, am Yahweh. There is no savior besides Me.” What did Yahweh mean?
  2. Joel was one of Yahweh’s prophets. In Joel 2:32, Joel said, “Everyone who calls on the Name of Yahweh will be saved/delivered.” What did Joel mean?
  3. In Acts 2:21 on the Day of Pentecost 50 days after the Messiah’s crucifixion, Peter quoted Joel 2:32 verbatim. He said, “Everyone who calls on the Name of Yahweh will be saved.” What did Peter mean?
  4. In Romans 10:13, Paul quoted Joel 2:32 verbatim, too. He said, “Everyone who calls on the Name of Yahweh will be saved.” What did Paul mean?
  5. In Acts 4:12, Peter said, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” What Name was Peter referring to as the only Name in which we have salvation?
  6. In Jeremiah 23:5-6, Yahweh said, “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch. He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will live securely. This is His Name by which He will be called: ‘Yahweh Our Righteousness.’” The Branch is the Messiah. According to Yahweh, what is the Messiah’s Name?
  7. In John 8:58, the Messiah said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham existed, I AM.” Since “I AM” is the meaning of the Name Yahweh, what was the Messiah saying?
  8. In Luke 1:31, the angel Gabriel told Mary, the Messiah’s mother, the name to give Him at birth. What was that precise name and what does that name mean?

As I said, those are simple questions. Any preacher should be able to answer them.

Now, please answer these questions:

  1. What is the Messiah’s real Name?
  2. In whose Name do we have salvation?
  3. What do you tell your congregation the Messiah’s Name is?
  4. What name do you tell your congregation is the Name in which we have salvation?
  5. In how many names do we have salvation?

Yahweh is the Name in which we have salvation, and Yahweh is the Messiah’s real Name. The name He was given at birth wasn’t Jesus. It was Yeshua, and Yeshua means “Yahweh is salvation” or “Yahweh saves”.

We are living in perilous times, and they are more perilous than they should be because Yahweh’s people are not being told the truth. That’s a problem that can be solved and must be solved.

Trying to justify or defend using the name “Jesus” instead of Yahweh or Yeshua is a mistake. Many preachers have told me that “Jesus” is the English pronunciation of the name the Messiah was given at birth. That is not correct.

Consider this example: My name is “Neil Snyder”. People who know me well enough to know that I spend a lot of time in Israel ask me, “What is Neil in Hebrew?”

I tell them, “Neil in Hebrew is Neil. In Israel, they call me ‘Neil’ with a Hebrew accent. That’s fine with me, because I call them by their names with a Southern accent.”

This is what Neil Snyder looks like in Hebrew: ניל סניידר. Anyone who knows Hebrew will read my name in Hebrew and say, “Neil Snyder,” because that’s what those letters say in Hebrew.

Again, the Messiah’s real Name is Yahweh, and Yahweh is our only Savior. Yahweh’s Name in English and in every other language is the same as His Name in Hebrew. It’s Yahweh.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
