Raymond Ibrahim—Inside Egypt’s Terrorist Camps: Torture, Rape, Mass Murder:

Now that the Egyptian military has finally begun to neutralize Muslim Brotherhood terrorist bases, the so-called mainstream media are doing what they do best—twist reality to the Islamists’ benefit by casting them as innocent victims merely “holding vigil” only to be slaughtered, while calling for the prosecution of the military for “human rights abuses.”  They essentially follow the pro-Brotherhood Al Jazeera’s lead of portraying these bases in Rab‘a al-Adawiya and elsewhere as peaceful “sit ins.”

What the mainstream media have failed to report is that for over two months in these “sit ins”—or more appropriately, mini-emirates in Egypt—many Egyptians have been tortured, mutilated, raped, and mass murdered in the name of Islam and/or Brotherhood rule.  (Of course, this is unsurprising considering how the media also failed to report on the nonstop and heinous attacks on the nation’s Christian minority and its churches, all validated by Brotherhood leadership.)

Dan Margalit: Is Obama turning into Woodrow Wilson?— When it comes to the upheaval in the Middle East, Obama appears to have been stricken with temporary blindness. The U.S. has already had a president — Woodrow Wilson — who could not function toward the end of his second term.

Michael Widlanski: Obama Sings ‘Please Release Me’ on Behalf of Palestinian Terrorists— Earlier this week, Israel freed 26 terrorist murderers – all convicted in public trials under full due process of law – as part of Barack Obama’s way of bribing Palestinian leaders to sit down and talk to Israel about the peace that the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) does not really want or seek.

The White House: Obama Condemns Egypt’s Government and Security Forces for Violence Against Civilians—President Barack Obama said Thursday: “The United States strongly condemns the steps that have been taken by Egypt’s interim government and security forces. We deplore violence against civilians. We support universal rights essential to human dignity, including the right to peaceful protest…. Our traditional cooperation cannot continue as usual when civilians are being killed in the streets….As a result, this morning we notified the Egyptian government that we are canceling our biannual joint military exercise which was scheduled for next month.”

Ruthie Blum: They’re not liberals, stupid!— On Wednesday, Egyptian interim Vice President Mohamed ElBaradei resigned in protest over the Egyptian military’s use of brute force against supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi. News of ElBaradi’s exit were accompanied by rumors that “other liberals” in Egypt had followed suit. These rumors turned out to be as false as using the word “liberal” to describe counterrevolutionary forces that deposed Morsi in June. Nor does ElBaradei come close to resembling a liberal in the Western sense, other than disapproving of the spilling of Muslim Brotherhood blood by the army.

Ricky Ben-David: Egypt: U.S. Position “Strengthens Armed Groups”—The Egyptian Presidency’s office issued a statement Thursday in response to U.S. President Barack Obama’s earlier remarks on the crisis, saying that the country was fighting “terrorist acts” and that such statements could be seen as “strengthening the armed violent groups and encouraging them in their path.” Egypt was facing “terrorist acts targeting government buildings and vital facilities…[that] have included tens of churches, courthouses, and police stations, as well as many public facilities and private properties.”

Avi Issacharoff: El-Sissi Will Not Be Deterred—The Egyptian military claims that armed Muslim Brotherhood supporters opened fire on its soldiers, killing close to 50 and injuring dozens more. The Muslim Brotherhood was backed by Qatar’s Al-Jazeera, which broadcast pictures of corpses and injured protesters in an endless loop, while Al-Arabiya, which is funded by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, that support the Egyptian military, screened a video of supposed Muslim Brotherhood activists wearing masks and firing at unseen targets.

Hussein Ibish: Egyptians Blame America for Their ProblemsAnti-Americanism, a ubiquitous feature of contemporary Arab political culture, arises from an insidious and deeply- ingrained concept: the myth of American omnipotence. Thus the will of the United States becomes the default explanation for everything that happens in the Middle East, particularly when people don’t like it. America the omnipotent occupies a unique position in the moral economy of contemporary Arab political thought: it is always blamed for whatever people don’t like, but rarely gets credit for anything that most in the Arab world find good.

Mike Konrad: Muslim History 101— This is what the fight is all about: In the center of Jerusalem is the sacred structure which the Jews label as the Temple Mount, and the Arabs refer to as the Haram al-Sharif (the noble sanctuary) and Al-Aqsa (the farthest Mosque). A mere 35 acres; yet touch it, and the Ummah [the Islamic homeland] will go to war. So who has the better claim? Ignoring the issue of political sovereignty, let us focus solely on which religion has the greater claim to that sacred space. According to the Quran, at one time all of mankind was Muslim; and all men had apostasized into error.

Zvika Fogel: Keeping the Peace in Sinai—Ever since the 2008-2009 Gaza war and especially since the security fence along the Sinai border has been completed, the Israel Defense Forces and the Egyptian army, with the encouragement of their respective governments, have set up a coordination mechanism to jointly combat the terror in Sinai that threatens both countries.

Kenneth Stein: Political Realities Frame Israeli-Palestinian Talks—For four decades, more than two dozen U.S. mediators, including presidents and secretaries of state, have dedicated immense amounts of time to Arab-Israeli negotiations. Over the past several years, virtually all final-status issues have been discussed in enormous detail during various secret Israeli-Palestinian meetings.

4--Scripture of the Day USE THIS ONE

The scripture below is from the New American Standard Bible, and the hyperlinks associated with each word are from Strong’s Concordance for the New American Standard Bible.

Hosea 12: 9-11

But I [have been] Yahweh your God since the land of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, as in the days of the appointed festival. I have also spoken to the prophets, and I gave numerous visions, and through the prophets I gave parables. Is there iniquity [in] Gilead? Surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls, yes, their altars are like the stone heaps beside the furrows of the field.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
