Geert Wilders—The Terrorists Are Among Us:

In several Western countries, the authorities are concerned about the security risk posed by young Muslim immigrants who went to Syria and Iraq to wage jihad and are now returning home. They are considered the most serious security risk in decades.

The risk is not just theoretical. Indeed, on May 24, Mehdi Nemmouche, a young Muslim with a French passport, went on a killing spree with a Kalashnikov assault rifle in the Jewish Museum in Brussels. He killed four people. Nemmouche had previously been in Syria, where he was trained in guerrilla warfare.

During the past three years, thousands of young Islamic immigrants from all Western countries, Europe, Australia, America and even Russia, have gone to fight in Syria, where they have committed the most horrible atrocities. Some of them were killed in action, while others have since returned home. They carry Western passports but they hate the West. They walk our streets as ticking time bombs, eager to cause as much havoc in our cities as they have caused in Syria.

SnyderTalk Comment: The terrorists really are among us, and many of our so-called “political leaders” are too busy playing politically correct games to see it and call it what it is.  That’s got to change—and fast.

#####

Ariel Ben Solomon: Plan to ban Islamic Movement a non-starter—Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government is considering banning the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement, a move that is unlikely to be carried out in any significant way even if it passes muster with the Supreme Court.

Jennifer Rubin: Parent’s Worst Nightmare: Three Israeli teens found dead— The sobering and heartbreaking reports of the murders of the three kidnapped Israeli boys are a reminder of the depths of human cruelty and of terrorists’ lust for blood. These were three school-aged teens, grabbed off the street and murdered by, it is suspected, Hamas operatives. The Associated Press reports: The Israeli army confirmed Monday evening that authorities have located the bodies of three Israeli teenagers abducted as they made their way home from their religious school in the West Bank.

Jonathan S. Tobin: Not the Moment for “Restraint” Against Hamas—In a sentiment that was echoed across the Israeli political spectrum, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed today that “Hamas will pay” for the murders of three Israeli teenagers kidnapped two weeks ago. What exactly Netanyahu meant by this phrase isn’t yet known. But given the track record of both Israel and the Palestinians and the efforts by President Obama to head off any tough action by Netanyahu, the leaders of the terror group may not exactly be shaking in their boots.

Daniel Greenfield: It’s Not the ‘Occupation’ — It’s Islam— The bodies of three murdered Israeli teenagers, 16-year-old Naftali who liked to play basketball, 16-year-old Gilad who had just finished a scuba diving course and 19-year-old Eyal with his guitar, will be met by the same ghastly parade of pallbearers who accompany every victim of terrorism.

Mark Tapson: Islamic Apologist: Stop Saying ‘Moderate Muslims’— Since at least the 9/11 attacks, we have been reassured constantly that Islam means peace, that violent jihad is being waged by a tiny minority of extremists, and that most Muslims are moderate. But on a Heritage Foundation panel recently, terrorism expert Brigitte Gabriel correctly dismissed that “peaceful majority” of Muslims as “irrelevant” to the equation. And now at least one prominent apologist for Islamic terrorism wants to do away with the term “moderate” altogether.

Caroline Glick: The End of the ‘Peace Process’— It’s amazing. You know, the Peace Process fell apart over the past six weeks. (Applause.) I don’t know if you know that, but there’s no more Peace Process, and I know you’re all shocked by that because everybody was probably totally optimistic that for the first time in 90 years the Arabs, the Palestinian Arabs were going to say, We accept Israel’s right to exist. They’ve never done it before, but suddenly, because John Forbes Kerry is such a brilliant man and such a great negotiator and just leader in general, just all-time good guy, right?

Eli Lake: Israel Blames Palestinian Bigs for Murdered Teens— Netanyahu is pledging retaliation against Hamas, but his intelligence minister says the Palestinian Authority is supposed to prevent terrorist acts like the killing of three Israelis.

Warren Throckmorton: Megachurch Star Mark Driscoll’s Publishing Downfall— After defending the controversial Seattle pastor from charges of plagiarism, his publisher has shelved his next book and his church’s designated imprint.

Michael Rubin: Turkey’s Last Chance?—Turks will go to the polls on August 10 to elect a new president, the first time that office will be filled by direct election. This weekend, incumbent Abdullah Gül, a Justice and Development Party (AKP) acolyte, has announced he will step down and the AKP will determine its nominee on July 1. The party’s nominee will likely be Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey’s Islamist, corrupt, and increasingly authoritarian prime minister.

Michael Gerson: Obama fails a vision test— The summary moment of Barack Obama’s foreign policy came in August 2013 during a consequential stroll. Walking on the South Lawn of the White House with his chief of staff, Obama effectively canceled airstrikes against the Syrian regime, which had used chemical weapons on civilians in defiance of an American “red line.” With a deference usually unexpressed on domestic matters, Obama decided to request congressional permission for the use of force — raising a hurdle he seemed reluctant to clear. On the verge of (predictable) congressional defeat, he accepted a face-saving deal, brokered by Russia, which protected the Bashar al-Assad regime in exchange for its surrender of chemical weapons. “My central goal throughout this process has not been to embroil ourselves in a civil war,” argued Obama, adding in a separate interview, “My narrow concern right now is making sure that Assad does not use these chemical weapons again.”

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 14: 21-24

21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give the people to me and take the goods for yourself.” 22 Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have sworn to Yahweh El Elyon, possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that I will not take a thread or a sandal thong or anything that is yours, for fear you would say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’ 24 I will take nothing except what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their share.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide.  It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
