Khaled Abu Toameh—How the West Facilitates Hamas’s Mission:

On the basis of Abbas’s assurances that the unity government would “renounce violence and recognize Israel’s right to exist,” the Obama Administration and several EU governments rushed to announce that they would work with the new government, even as Hamas continued to deny Abbas’s claims.

Abbas may now finally have realized that Hamas’s real intention is to get rid of him, yet it is the U.S. and Europe that have emboldened and legitimized the Islamist movement, thus facilitating Hamas’s mission to carry out terrorist attacks against Israelis and take over the West Bank.

The reconciliation agreement that was signed between rival Palestinian groups Fatah and Hamas in April, and the subsequent formation of a unity government, was supposed to put an end to their dispute, which erupted after Hamas won the January 2006 parliamentary election.

But the kidnapping of three Israeli youths in the West Bank last week has shown that the gap between Fatah and the Islamist movement Hamas remains as wide as ever, and that the two parties continue to treat each other with suspicion.

SnyderTalk Comment: Abbas’ and his Fatah Party’s mission is the same as Hamas’ mission.  Both groups and their leaders want to annihilate Israel.  Everything they do and the things that they say to their own people make that crystal clear.  If you read SnyderTalk and watch the videos that I include in each post, you know it because you have heard and seen them say exactly that.  In other words, I’m not just spouting out personal opinions.  The YouTube video below is an example that proves my point.

Hamas and Fatah are competing with each other for control of the “Palestinian” people and the hundreds of millions of dollars that flow into their coffers each year, but their stated objective is to destroy Israel.  It’s spelled out plainly in both of their charters.  Both groups cater to niche audiences, and they tailor their messages to extract as much money as possible from them and to “win their hearts and minds”.  Lying is second nature to Fatah and Hamas leaders, but their supporters are clueless—ignorant fools as it were.  They know only what they are told, and they are being fed half-baked manure which they lap up as if it were a delicious meal.

Hamas wants to get rid of Abbas and Abbas wants to crush Hamas.  That’s because of the money involved more than anything else, but as I said, their missions are the same.  Both groups play Western leaders like a fiddle.  That’s especially true for President Obama.  You can’t overestimate the amount of damage that he’s done to Israel during his 6 years in office, and he has two more years in office so there is no telling how much damage he will do.

Shmuley Boteach: Obama Fiddles While the World Burns— Under President Obama, the world is becoming unstuck. Iraq is being overrun by Islamist terrorists and the United States is now evacuating its Baghdad embassy. The Arab Spring has led to either civil war and mass slaughter, like Syria, or new Arab dictators, like Egypt. Libya is degenerating into a den of terrorists who have already murdered the American Ambassador. Putin is sending tanks into Ukraine and the thuggish Russian strongman bestrides the world like a colossus, unchecked by American will. These facts are undeniable. The only question is whether President Obama is responsible.

Denis MacEoin: Islam: Is Integration Working? Part I of III— Why the issue of the Islamic veil? It rests at the center of the clash between Islam and the West. The veil seems to be used to keep the “wrong” men — those who are not close male relatives or guardians — at a distance. Relations between the sexes, apparently, must be controlled, the more rigorously the better. There is also the assumption that women are worth less than men [Qur’an 4:3; 4:34; 4:11]. They inherit less; they often cannot travel, even to see a doctor or pick up their children at school, without the permission of a male relative or guardian, and they may be beaten or divorced without recourse. They are subject to a different set of the laws: men may, under certain circumstances, marry up to four women — not only as if they are men’s property, but property that contains one’s honor in a way that, say, one’s chair does not.

Jonathan Spyer: Second Front Opens in the Sunni-Shia War— The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) organization swept into the city of Mosul in western Iraq last week.  No one has any right to be surprised. ISIL has held a large swath of western Iraq since January – including the city of Fallujah.  The organization was clearly planning a larger scale offensive action into Iraq. In January it had carried out a strategic withdrawal from large swaths of Idleb and Aleppo provinces in Syria. This was intended to consolidate its lines in northern Syria, so as to move fighters out toward Iraq.  ISIL controls a contiguous bloc of territory stretching from western Iraq up through eastern and northern Syria to the Turkish border.

Jonathan Spyer: No Excuse for Western Surprise Re ISIS Advances— At the risk of sounding arrogant, I would like to say that western policymakers have no excuse for being surprised regarding the ISIS advance into western Iraq, and the fragmentation of that country.  I and a number of colleagues have been writing about the rise of the ISIS organization and other putative ‘successor authorities’ in Iraq and Syria and Lebanon, and the ongoing fragmentation of these countries on ethnic and sectarian lines, and the single sectarian war taking place in these territories, for the last three years. In this regard, I would like to ‘re-issue’  a couple of paragraphs that I wrote on my recent return from a reporting trip on the YPG-ISiS frontlines in northern Syria.

Dr. Reuven Berko: Abbas, at the depths of weakness— From Israel’s point of view, this past weekend’s Gaza rocket and mortar fire, in addition to the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers, signaled the ultimate failure of the new Palestinian government. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas may have been off to a good start conducting rigorous negotiations over forming a government together with Hamas, but at the first sign of crisis he failed the test of leadership, both by refusing to condemn the kidnapping and by rejecting publicly dedicating himself and his government to foiling the plot.

Dror Eydar: The extreme Left’s hatred— There is something purifying about the amounts of venom and hatred the extreme Left has heaped on us these past few days over the kidnapped teenagers. Warring among the Jews in the midst of an external fight is a sad tradition in our long history. I advise my brothers and sisters from the settlement enterprise to stop looking for empathy and logic from the small cult that has seized control of too many public platforms, and to treat it as a natural phenomenon, a tribe that harbors hatred for its own people in order to demarcate the boundaries of its own self-identification (“us, not them”). Suddenly emerging out of the woodwork are the loud cries of those who supported the Gilad Schalit deal, preaching morality to us. For years Yedioth Ahronoth has led the propaganda line of releasing hostages at all costs, even if it “encourages more kidnappings,” in the words of columnist Nahum Barnea in 2009.

Yoav Limor: Hamas must pay a price— Details of the abduction of Gil-ad Shaer, Eyal Yifrach and Naftali Frenkel continued to surface Sunday, but their location remains a mystery, and their fate continues to be a matter of great concern. Dozens of Palestinians have been arrested in the Hebron area in recent days in a military operation that included the deliberate and systematic undermining of Hamas infrastructure in the West Bank.

Gabi Siboni and Sami Kronenfeld: Iranian Cyber Espionage: A Troubling New Escalation— Anyone following the development of Iran’s cyber capabilities is not surprised that Iran has slowly become a significant power in the cyber arena. Recently, a long term Iranian cyber espionage campaign in the United States was uncovered that made use of “social engineering” and phishing in order to gather information from important officials in the United States, Israel, Great Britain, and other countries. The campaign is one of a long list of actions in cyberspace attributed to Iran designed to hurt the United States, Israel, and other Western countries. Although this latest campaign does not indicate a technological leap in Iranian cyber warfare capabilities, it does show a high level of operational and intelligence capabilities. It also indicates that Iran has cultivated long term cyber-related strategic objectives in recent years, and that it is becoming one of the most active players in the international cyber warfare arena.

Douglas Murray: Witness Intimidation: New London Mega-Mosque—Extremists like to give off the pretense that they are speaking for all Muslims, so when other Muslims identify and call out the extremists, they cause damage to the extremists’ most treasured arguments. The kind of society Tablighi Jamaat will bring with them will be a problem for local Muslims long before it is a problem any of the rest of us. We all know what happens when the good people remain silent. “The Tablighi Jemaat discourages integration into British society, especially of female members, since essentially they do not communicate with non-Muslims. … Instead, female members… are kept secluded, and the values surrounding this seclusion are transmitted to their children.” — Tehmina Kazi testifying against the London mega-mosque in 2011. According to Alan Craig, Kazi withdrew from testifying against the mega-mosque again in 2014] because she was “harried and pressured” by “misogynist mega-mosque supporters” while on holiday abroad. The person who allegedly persuaded Kazi not to testify was one Mudasser Ahmed.

Ben Cohen: Why the Kurds Are a Beacon of Hope in the Middle East— During the war in Iraq, when I was still living in London and coordinating news coverage of the overthrow of Saddam Hussein for various international media organizations, I was in regular contact with a brave Iraqi Kurdish journalist named Ayub Nuri. When Ayub and I finally met in person, several years later in New York, we spent a couple of hours talking about the region generally, and specifically about whether Israel had a natural ally in the Kurds. So it was with some pleasure, in the midst of a horrible news week for the Middle East, that I came across an interview with Ayub in which he said the following: “Kurds are deeply sympathetic to Israel and an independent Kurdistan will be beneficial to Israel. It will create a balance of power. Right now, Israel is one country against many. But with an independent Kurdish state, first of all Israel will have a genuine friend in the region for the first time, and second, Kurdistan will be like a buffer zone in the face of the Turkey, Iran and Iraq.”

Can Hillary be herself and win?

SnyderTalk Answer: No way.  If the wolf didn’t wear sheep’s clothing, the flock would recognize him and scurry away.  The real Hillary Clinton is a rotten scoundrel.  She would throw anyone under the bus if it helped her.  This is the bottom line: she can’t be trusted—period.

Liar and Thief Married to an Adulterer Says Bible is Her Biggest Influence

SnyderTalk Comment: I don’t like using too many clichés, but this one fits perfectly.  How can you tell when Hillary Clinton is lying?  Answer: Her lips move.

Isn’t it interesting how often pandering politicians in the U.S. lean on the Bible and Christianity?  The evidence indicates that most of them don’t give two hoots about the Bible and they are as Christian as a skunk.  Even so, their followers buy their lines without giving it a second thought.  In my mind, that is just plain stupid.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 10: 21-32

21 Also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, and the older brother of Japheth, children were born. 22 The sons of Shem were Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram. 23 The sons of Aram were Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash. 24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber. 25 Two sons were born to Eber; the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan. 26 Joktan became the father of Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah 27and Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah 28 and Obal and Abimael and Sheba 29and Ophir and Havilah and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan. 30 Now their settlement extended from Mesha as you go toward Sephar, the hill country of the east. 31 These are the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, according to their nations. 32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, by their nations; and out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
