Jews News—4 Blood Moons Coming On 4 Jewish Holidays Might Have MAJOR Implications:

In the Tanach, the prophet Yoel states, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.” (Yoel 2:31)

Sun turned to darkness = moon directly between the Earth and sun in a total solar eclipse. Moon turned to blood = Earth directly between the sun and moon, Earth’s shadow falling on the moon in a total lunar eclipse.

What is the significance of four blood moons coming over the next two years – on the Jewish Passovers on April 15, 2014, and April 4, 2015, and Sukkot on Oct. 8, 2014, and Sept. 28, 2015.

Max Boot: Abbas’ NATO Gambit Is a Nonstarter—It would be quite an irony if the Obama administration, while refusing to become heavily engaged in Syria or Libya, were to dispatch U.S. troops to guard a new Palestinian state in the West Bank, as proposed by PA President Mahmoud Abbas in an interview with the New York Times. Imagine such a force patrolling the West Bank and east Jerusalem. They might as well have a “kick me” sign on their backs – their very presence will make them an irresistible magnet for jihadists who want to score points against the Great Satan.

Richard Baehr: Only one side will be blamed— If and when the peace talks collapse, a narrative is already prepared explaining why the process broke down. And only one side will be blamed.

Anthony H. Cordesman: Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the “Clash within a Civilization”—The tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia reflect a broad regional power struggle, now made more complex by growing doubts among Saudis and other Arabs about U.S. policies in the region. These doubts have led to a wide range of Arab conspiracy theories that the U.S. is preparing to abandon its alliances in the Arab world and turn to Iran. In this struggle, almost all of the attacks and casualties are caused by Muslims attacking Muslims, and much of the violence is caused by Sunnis attacking Sunnis. The West is only on the periphery of this struggle, not its focus. It is a “clash within a civilization,” and not a clash between them.

Gabriel Schoenfeld: In Iran We Trust? If Tehran Breaks Its Promises, We’re Unlikely to Know—President Obama has proudly declared that diplomacy opened a path to “a future in which we can verify that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and that it cannot build a nuclear weapon.” How much confidence can we have that the ayatollahs will not press ahead with their nuclear program in clandestine facilities, as they have done in the past? And how much confidence can we have that our intelligence agencies will catch them? A three-year study by the Defense Science Board concluded that U.S. intelligence agencies “are not yet organized or fully equipped” to detect when foreign powers are constructing nuclear weapons or adding to existing arsenals. What is more, their ability to find “small nuclear enterprises designed to produce, store, and deploy only a small number of weapons” is “either inadequate, or more often, [does] not exist.”

Ben Cohen interviews Olli Heinonen: The Geneva Deal and Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions—Dr. Olli Heinonen, a former senior IAEA official, is one of the few individuals in the West with a long track record of dealing with Iran’s leaders. He recalled that when President Rouhani had served as a nuclear negotiator 10 years earlier, he boasted of how he had used talks with Western powers to “buy time to advance Iran’s program.” Yet Heinonen’s concerns about the slipperiness of the Iranian leadership are offset by the realization that Western powers know much more about Iran’s nuclear program than is generally appreciated.

Amir Taheri: Rouhani Approves Execution of Arab-Iranian Poet—Last July, an Islamic Revolutionary Tribunal sentenced 14 human rights activists to death on charges of “waging war on God” and “spreading corruption on earth.” Last month, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visited Ahvaz, capital of the province of Khuzestan, where he gave the green light for the executions. The first two executions were carried out last week when Hashem Shaabani and Hadi Rashedi were hanged.

Zachary A. Goldfarb: CBO: Health-care law will mean 2 million fewer workers—The Affordable Care Act will reduce the number of full-time workers by more than 2 million in coming years, congressional budget analysts said Tuesday, a finding that sent the White House scrambling to defend a law that has bedeviled President Obama for years.

D. Suba Chandran: A tale of two Taliban—What are the linkages between the two Taliban in Pakistan and Afghanistan across the Durand Line? Is there a hierarchy or chain of command between these two, or are both two different organisations with different objectives, ideologies and targets? Is there a communication link between the two leaderships in terms of operational activities, or are they more of a rhetoric? The more one analyses the linkages between the Afghan Taliban and the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the more differences one could trace between the two organisations — in terms of history, objectives, ideology and operational targets.

David Samuels interviews Yaakov Amidror: There Is No Way to Defend Israel without Israeli Troops along the Jordan River— My first glimpse of Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror came at the Herzliya Conference in December 2004, where a parade of notables took turns praising Ariel Sharon’s unilateral disengagement plan as brave, far-sighted, and wise. Amidror, a bearded former senior military intelligence officer, was the skunk at the Israeli security establishment’s annual garden party. Holding a black military beret on his lap, he mocked promises of a peace dividend, and of the moderating influence that an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza would have on Palestinian behavior. “There won’t be peace,” Amidror predicted, raising his voice to be heard from the back of the crowded room.

Hezi Sternlicht: Mr. Kerry, the Israeli economy is no illusion— America is currently carrying the largest debts in its history, while Israel’s debt-income ratio is superb.

SnyderTalk Comment: I apologize for the fact that this video plays automatically and because the first clip is one of several when the first clip is the only one that I wanted to include.  Even so, I decided that these problems were worth the risk because of the message from ordinary people, not politicos, who are being impacted in significant ways by Obamacare.

As one of the workers said, “Wake up America.”  I couldn’t have said it any better.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Zechariah 1: 18-21

Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, there were four horns. So I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “What are these?” And he answered me, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.” Then Yahweh showed me four craftsmen. I said, “What are these coming to do?” And he said, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah so that no man lifts up his head; but these craftsmen have come to terrify them, to throw down the horns of the nations who have lifted up their horns against the land of Judah in order to scatter it.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
