Sinem Tezyapar—Muslims, stop blaming Israel:

Whenever calamities befall Muslim-majority nations, there is always a country to blame: Israel. Is there a revolution against a tyrant? Zionists are responsible. Who else could be at fault if there is a clash between Sunni and Shia groups? The Jews. Did a bomb explode on the other side of the world, or is there a problem with the economy? No need look any further than Israel. And where else would the control center for destabilizing the Arab world be? In Tel Aviv, of course!

The late Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi blamed Israel for the violence and unrest in Africa. Former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh said that the turmoil in the Arab world is a pro-Zionist conspiracy. Saudi cleric Sheikh Ismae’il al-Hafoufi blamed Israel for the desecration of Islamic holy sites in Syria. Sheik Abd al-Jalil al-Karouri, a Sudanese cleric, pointed to Israel for the Boston and Texas bombings. And then there’s the belief that Zionists planned the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, to demonize Arabs and Muslims in the eyes of the world.

The existence of Israel, a tiny sliver of a country, drives the whole Arab Muslim world to madness and many of their fellow Muslims around the world join them in their lunacy.  Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a good example.  He goes bonkers over Israel like an attention starved adolescent child and behaves like a Palestinian—crazy.  Things won’t change until Yahweh returns and deals with His and Israel’s enemies.

Richard Rives: A Jealous God—A video commentary.

Dr. Haim Shine: Obama failed, and we’re stuck with the bill— In China, Iran, North Korea, Lebanon and Syria, they now know that American threats are actually empty.

Daniel Greenfield: The Roots of Obama’s Indecision— General McChrystal, Obama’s choice to run the War in Afghanistan, described him as “uncomfortable and intimidated” by the military men at their first meeting. That made McChrystal’s firing inevitable. General McKiernan, the first commander of the war that Obama fired, had embarrassed him by pressing for a decision on increasing troop numbers. It was a decision Obama was unable to make. Just as he was unable to make a final decision on Iraq, dragging out negotiations, and just as he is unable to commit to the number of troops that will remain in Afghanistan after 2014.

Shane Harris: Former CIA Deputy: No Way Will Assad Give Up His Nerve Gas—”I think this is the Syrians playing for time,” Michael Morell, the recently-retired deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency, told Foreign Policy. “I do not believe that they would seriously consider giving up their chemical weapons.” “Be a skeptic that [Assad] is at all serious about this.”

Jonathan Schanzer: Why Is Turkey Sheltering a Dangerous Hamas Operative?—Turkey, a member of NATO, is an important base of operations for at least one high-ranking member of the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Turkey currently serves as the home for Hamas operative Saleh al-Arouri, founder of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades in the West Bank. In 2011, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan told a U.S. audience that Hamas was not a terrorist group, and he has repeatedly vowed to visit Gaza. Ankara has also provided Hamas with as much as $300 million in financial support.

Abdulrahman al-Rashed: Is Sinai Exhausting the Egyptian Army or Besieging the Muslim Brotherhood?—Egyptian defense minister and commander of the armed forces Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has mobilized the biggest number of troops the Sinai Peninsula has witnessed since the war in 1973. One of the factors that led to Egypt’s losing control over Sinai during the Mubarak era is that he overlooked Hamas’ smuggling operations and the digging of tunnels. Hamas has now seen Egyptian troops advance quickly in the Sinai and succeed in destroying tunnels.

Nancy A. Youssef: Putin’s Middle East maneuvering continues to be shrewd— Russia’s Syria move was not his first play. It won’t be his last, either.

Amos Yadlin: The Disarmament Agreement on Syria’s Chemical Weapons, Act I: A Win-Win Situation?— The agreement on Syria’s chemical weapons, reached between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and reported on September 14, 2013, is all sewn up. It appears that the United States was determined to reach an agreement only if it met strict criteria on all the substantive issues related to disarming Syria of its chemical weapons. If implemented, the significance of this comprehensive agreement is that four parties will emerge victorious from the crisis in a win-win-win-win situation. Nevertheless, there are also two casualties of the agreement. One is justice and morality, as the superpowers have chosen not to get involved in a comprehensive solution to the civil war and the violence by the regime, which is responsible for the deaths of more than 100,000 Syrian civilians. The second is the Syrian opposition and all those who believe that the Assad regime should be toppled for moral and strategic reasons (i.e., as a death blow to the radical axis).

Matthias Kuentzel: Startling Revelations From an Iranian Smuggling Case in Hamburg— I rarely attend trials, but this one is special. On July 24, 2013, the main hearing in the case of German businessman Rudolf M. and Iranian-Germans Gholamali K., Kianzad K., and Hamid Kh. opened at Hamburg’s Higher Regional Court. The defendants are charged with exporting 92 German-produced specialized valves for use in Iran’s Arak plutonium reactor and arranging the shipment of 856 nuclear-usable valves from India to Iran in 2010 and 2011. The reasons why the UN Security Council has ordered Iran to halt the construction of the Arak reactor are compelling. If this nuclear plant comes online in 2014, as the Iranians anticipate, it could produce enough weapons-grade plutonium for two bombs a year. The smuggling of nuclear valves from Germany is therefore of exceptional significance and tops the latest UN list of reported alleged violations of the sanction regime against Iran.

Raymond Ibrahim: Elections: Latest Excuse to Kill Christians— In what seems to be a pattern in many Muslim nations of finding new pretexts to justify anti-Christian—and “anti-Other”—behavior, Egypt’s Christians and their churches are under attack, ostensibly because Christians joined the June 30 Revolution, which led to the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The scripture below is from the New American Standard Bible, and the hyperlinks associated with each word are from Strong’s Concordance for the New American Standard Bible.

Amos 1: 7-8

“So I will send fire upon the wall of Gaza and it will consume her citadels. I will also cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him who holds the scepter, from Ashkelon; I will even unleash My power upon Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistines will perish,” says Adonai Yahweh.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
