Jacob Kimchy: The Double Standard for Terrorism in Israel—Moments before Yom Hazikaron, the district court of Jerusalem proved that terror victims in Israel are second class citizens. On May 7th, 2002, a suicide bomber entered a club in Rishon Leziyon and blew himself up. Fifteen Israeli citizens were murdered and eighty others were injured. The terror group responsible for the act was the Silwan cell, who appointed four Israeli Arabs from Silwan, in eastern Jerusalem, to commit the brutal crime.

4--Scripture of the Day

Daniel 6: 14-15

Then, as soon as the king heard this statement, he was deeply distressed and set his mind on delivering Daniel; and even until sunset he kept exerting himself to rescue him. Then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king, “Recognize, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no injunction or statute which the king establishes may be changed.”

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

13--Perspectives

#####

Kristen Chick: Egyptian Christians respond with harsh words to attack — rocks, Molotov cocktails, and gunfire — against main cathedral— “This is a society that is collapsing. Society is collapsing every day,” warns the Egyptian pope.

Arsen Ostrovsky: 10 Reasons Americans Should Celebrate Israel’s Independence Day— On April 16, that tiny country Israel, burdened with decades of unremitting attacks on its very legitimacy and existence, celebrates her 65th year of independence. There are good reasons why Americans should celebrate that.

Gila Green: Israel at war with itself: Is it getting real?— A dystopic work of fiction about a nation split in two is becoming ominously plausible.

Alex Stein: Freedom to observe Memorial Day with Palestinians—The IDF doesn’t have to like the annual joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day ceremony, but it has no right to block it.

Ari Abramowitz: That moment when mourning becomes celebration—The enormous pain of separation on Memorial Day is immediately followed by the profound joy of connection on Independence Day.

Dan Margalit: Broken hearts— More than 23,000 of us have been killed, and we know that we owe our lives in a sovereign Jewish state to the sacrifices of the fallen.

Yochi Brandes: Our hope is not yet lost— The author of our national anthem, much like the prophet Ezekiel, realized that the loss of hope is the biggest threat of all.

Eli Ben Shem: A deep, inescapable abyss— As we prepare to celebrate Israel’s 65th anniversary, we know that independence has come at a hefty price.

MK Danny Danon: United in grief— Today, Israelis as a whole feel the same pain, the same void, that bereaved families feel every hour of every day.

Ronn Torossian: The Most Powerful Names in Arab Media—A sphere of influence that will only continue to grow.

Reza Kahlili: Iran Warns of World War III—Iran ratcheted up its vitriol against Israel and the United States over the weekend, warning that an attack on the Islamic regime’s nuclear facilities could lead to global war. The rhetoric eerily matched that currently coming out of North Korea against its perceived enemies.

Austin Hill: Can America “Minimum Wage” Itself To Prosperity?— What happens when the U.S. Secretary of Labor visits a church in Charlotte? If an incident earlier this month is any indication, faulty political promises and destructive economic policies continue to spread.

Doug Giles: I Went to Bed a Christian and Woke Up a … Terrorist?— According to the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security, evangelical Christians are now a national security threat. I’m talkin’ at the top of the list folks. As Gomer Pyle used to say, “Surprise, Surprise, Surprise” eh, Christians?

Rabbi Yonason Goldson: The Death of Education?— Why do parents prefer to cripple their children for life rather than prepare them for success?

Richard Winchester: Do Left-Wing Professors Really ‘Proselytize’ on Campus?—The real story, from someone who’s been there a few decades.

Daniel Greenfield: Cass Sunstein: The Poster Boy for ‘Inside Every Liberal is a Totalitarian Screaming to Get Out’—Learning to love Big Brother all over again.

Arnold Ahlert: Hollywood’s Undying Love for Communist Angela Davis—A vicious totalitarian’s legacy is whitewashed by some of the country’s biggest celebrities.

Jack Cashill: Before the Gosnell Blackout, There Was Tiller’s—…and Carhart’s, and Allred’s, and Patterson’s, and Biskind’s, and Rotem’s, and…

Joseph Klein: John Kerry’s Shameless Flip-Flop on Missile Defense—Another testament to our new secretary of state’s egregious judgment.

Jonathan F. Keiler: Maryland’s Second Amendment Nightmare: Coming Soon to a State Near You?—Conservatives in red states would be very unwise to think that they’re safe from the encroachments now plaguing the so-called “Free State.”

Jonathon Moseley: Gun Control Derangement Syndrome—Congress goes down the rabbit hole with the Toomey/Manchin gun-control bill.

James A. Lyons: Are We Being Compromised by Barack Obama’s Murky Past?—Among all the foreign intelligence agencies, Russian intelligence (SVR) has a long history and has made a science of studying the backgrounds of American presidents. They almost certainly know more than we do about our president.

Humberto Fontova: Imprisoned Cuban Rappers Tormented While Jay-Z & Beyonce Partied—The suffering of Castro’s political prisoners is especially brutal for black artists.

14--Blessings from Revelation

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
