Don’t Expect God to do Things in the Normal Way
As I have said repeatedly, we need to see things from God’s perspective, and His thoughts and ways are not like ours. Don’t expect God to do things the normal way, and don’t impose your preconceived notions on Him. If you do, you will be disappointed at the very least, and it is quite likely that you will find yourself off the path He wants you to travel. Let God lead you and go where He leads.
That said, if you are on the right path, you can expect to encounter opposition. Don’t be alarmed because most of the world isn’t even trying to follow God so you will stand out. The human race has been in rebellion against God since Adam, so you can expect opposition. It comes from many quarters, sometimes from members of your own family, and it can hurt — a lot. At times, it can make you doubt God and yourself. When that happens, and it will happen, go to God in prayer; read the Bible; and confirm that you are on the right path.
Be bold and courageous. Stand firm and stay on the path He gives you. None of us is privy to God’s entire plan. We simply have a role to play. The opposition you encounter, while unpleasant, may be necessary to bring about changes in other people’s lives, and it will strengthen you. Let Yahweh be God and obey Him.
Acknowledge Him
Proverbs 3: 6 is one of the verses God gave me. It says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” As you begin to reap rewards from obeying God, you need to remember who guided you and give Him the credit that He deserves. If you flatter yourself and take credit for the things He did, He will back off, and you will be on your own. That is not what you want. Give God the glory that is rightfully His.
Remember to Say “Thank You”
It may seem unnecessary to remind people to say “thank you,” but I’ve learned otherwise. Luke 17: 11-19 tells about a time when Jesus met 10 lepers as He was traveling to Jerusalem. When the lepers saw Jesus, they asked Him to have mercy on them. Jesus told them to go and show themselves to the priests, which was the scripturally correct way for people with leprosy to confirm their healing. They had to take a step of faith. With open wounds still clearly visible on their bodies, they set off for Jerusalem to receive their healing, and while they were going, they were cleansed.
One of the lepers glorified God when he was healed and came back to say “thank you.” (Luke 17: 15-16) Do you recall Jesus’ response? He looked at the healed man and said,
“Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine — where are they? Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?” Luke 17: 17-18
It’s so easy to get caught up in the excitement of the moment when God answers a prayer, and it’s all too common to bask in the glory of that moment as if we had done it ourselves. Please don’t make the mistake of forgetting God. Be like the leper who returned to say “thank you.”
Jesus told the lone returnee, “Stand up and go; your faith has made you well.” (Luke 17: 19) Have you ever wondered what happened to the other 9 lepers? It wouldn’t surprise me if by the time they reached Jerusalem their leprosy had returned. They failed to acknowledge the goodness and mercy of God, and there are consequences for that behavior. Please keep that in mind as you receive His blessings.

Jeremiah 51: 59-64
The message which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the grandson of Mahseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah to Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. (Now Seraiah was quartermaster.) So Jeremiah wrote in a single scroll all the calamity which would come upon Babylon, that is, all these words which have been written concerning Babylon. Then Jeremiah said to Seraiah, “As soon as you come to Babylon, then see that you read all these words aloud, and say, ‘You, O Yahweh, have promised concerning this place to cut it off, so that there will be nothing dwelling in it, whether man or beast, but it will be a perpetual desolation.’ And as soon as you finish reading this scroll, you will tie a stone to it and throw it into the middle of the Euphrates, and say, ‘Just so shall Babylon sink down and not rise again because of the calamity that I am going to bring upon her; and they will become exhausted.’” Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

- God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
- “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
- “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)

Stand! is a suspense novel that exposes the lies, corruption, and greed underlying the theory that man-made CO2 emissions are responsible for global warming. Professor Wes Carlyle and Karen Sterling, his research collaborator, carefully scan the audience for their would-be attacker—a member of the enviro-gestapo who has been following them for days. Wes spots his man in the back of the room leaning against the wall. Suddenly, another man in the audience steps forward and moves toward Karen at a menacing pace. With a vicious stroke, he swings a billy club at her head. Click here to order the eBook. Click here to order the paperback.

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now. There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone. Click here to order the eBook.
