This is the Word of Yahweh:
Thus says Yahweh concerning all My wicked neighbors who strike at the inheritance with which I have endowed My people Israel, “Behold I am about to uproot them from their land and will uproot the house of Judah from among them. And it will come about that after I have uprooted them, I will again have compassion on them; and I will bring them back, each one to his inheritance and each one to his land. Then if they will really learn the ways of My people, to swear by My name, ‘As Yahweh lives,’ even as they taught My people to swear by Baal, they will be built up in the midst of My people. But if they will not listen, then I will uproot that nation, uproot and destroy it,” declares Yahweh. (Jeremiah 12: 14-17)

Isaiah 66: 1-2—Thus says Yahweh, “Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? For My hand made all these things, thus all these things came into being,” declares Yahweh. “But to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.”

Trouble is Brewing in Jordan
Jordan’s King Abdullah II is confronting a tribal rebellion, and it’s of his own making. His policies have rankled tribal leaders who blame him for allowing disruptive Palestinians to gain strength in Jordan at their expense, and they are making their anger and frustration felt. The king’s response has been interesting and informative. He’s publicly reprimanding Israel for taking steps to neutralize Palestinian terrorists who delight in firing rockets at innocent Israeli civilians. His reaction is shortsighted and dangerous.
King Abdullah’s real enemies are Palestinian terrorists – the same Palestinian terrorists who threaten Israel. Instead of criticizing Israel for doing exactly what he would have done, he should join Israel in an effort to deal with the problem at the root. Palestinians are notorious for their duplicitous behavior, and they invented suicide bombers who have become a problem for every country in the world. Failing to take appropriate steps at this critical juncture will lead to more trouble for Jordan and the king in the future. It might even lead to his deposal.
Don’t think that it can’t happen. When people believe their voices aren’t being heard, they take actions to get the attention of rulers. Jordanians didn’t elect King Abdullah, and judging by the king’s behavior he is giving them and their problems scant thought. If he values his privileged position, he will change his ways. If he doesn’t change his ways, the Jordanian people will do what they must to deal with the problem themselves, and you can’t blame them.
