Scripture of the day:
Isaiah 42: 20-22—You have seen many things, but you do not observe them; Your ears are open, but none hears. Yahweh was pleased for His righteousness’ sake to make the law great and glorious. But this is a people plundered and despoiled; all of them are trapped in caves, or are hidden away in prisons; they have become a prey with none to deliver them, and a spoil, with none to say, “Give them back!”

Israel
Hassan Nasrallah, head of Hezbollah, he is a true Israel hater. Below are a few of his comments about Israel that will give you some idea where he stands:
- “There is no legal and legitimate state called Israel.”
- “I am against any reconciliation with Israel.”
- “Israel remains a foreign body in this large area, and it always proved that it is unable to coexist with this environment, because the, the scope of the massacres that it has committed does not permit it to coexist.”
- “That is why if Lebanon concludes a peace agreement with Israel and brings that accord to the Parliament our deputies will reject it; Hezbollah refuses any conciliation with Israel in principle.”
Because Nasrallah is thumbing his nose at Yahweh, I’m giving him The Dunce Award. I pity people like him. They will have no hope if they don’t make a 180 degree turn. I expect many Muslims to become believers in the One True God, Yahweh, in due course. Will he be one of them? Maybe, but it will take Divine intervention. Truth is it takes Divine intervention for anyone to become a believer.

SnyderTalk Editorial: Do you think Chris Matthews reads the newspapers?
Do you think Chris Matthews reads the newspapers? It’s obvious he doesn’t understand
- that President Obama took our money using “stimulus” as a decoy and used it to pay off his campaign supporters,
- that he shoved a government-run healthcare program down our throats that we don’t want,
- that he has turned his back on our only real friend in the Middle East—Israel,
- that his economic program boils down to handouts resulting in more dependence on government, and
- that he has lashed out at the people of Arizona for taking steps to solve a serious problem endangering their lives—a problem he has ignored. The president’s feeble attempts to do something after the fact while continuing to blast away at the people of Arizona as though they were enemy combatants only makes matters worse.
This is not an exhaustive list of the things about President Obama’s administration that I don’t like. For me, it isn’t about Barack Obama the person. He may be a great guy, I don’t know because I’ve never met him, but his programs are leading us in the wrong direction—and it’s a dangerous direction at that.
President Obama’s lackeys in the media aren’t doing him any favors by ignoring reality and pretending that people who oppose him are racists or bumpkins or worse. They should be telling him that the emperor has no clothes.
The president will learn the truth in November because the people of America are going to let their voices be heard. If he doesn’t get that message, he’ll be a one-term president—unless, of course, the Republicans nominate a candidate for president in 2012 who polarizes the nation. Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey and Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin wouldn’t do that, and they have demonstrated that they understand the problems we face.

Richard Rives with Just the Facts
The Book of First John states that, Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. In the Book of Hebrews we are told that if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
In the actual Greek phrase translated “sin is the transgression of the law”, we find the word anomia which means an illegality—something opposed to the law. The New Testament is full of references to the law. Even so, today we are being told that the law has been nailed to the cross and has no place in the church.
In the Book of Matthew, we find a forewarning issued directly by our savior. Not everyone that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say unto me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name have done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Now let’s take a look at the word iniquity—depart from me ye that work iniquity. It is the English translation of the Greek word anomia—the same word used in the Book of First John, which defines sin as the transgression of the law. Sin is anomia: sin is the transgression of the law.
Who are the many that Jesus will turn away? We are told that in His name they prophesy. In His name they cast out devils, and in His name they do many wonderful works. There’s only one group of people who do wonderful things in the name of Jesus—people who call themselves Christians.
There is no way to avoid the fact that what Jesus said was that those who practice sin through the transgressing of His laws, even though they do wonderful things in His name, will be told that they must depart from Him. Not only must the transgressors depart from Him, but He will say that He never knew them. Now that’s something that everyone calling him Lord should carefully consider.
Contending for the faith once delivered to the Saints:
