Yeshua Said Plainly That He is Yahweh

During Yeshua’s earthly ministry, He said clearly that He is I Am—Yahweh, the One and only God. He also said we must accept Him as God and put our faith in Him. Once He told a group of priests,

Yeshua said the Torah tells about Him, but the religious leaders of His day did not believe Him. Supposedly, they put their hope for redemption and salvation in the Torah, but Yeshua made it clear that they did not believe Moses either because He was the One about whom Moses was writing.

Montgomery’s budget gap grows to nearly $1 billion

Commonsense: This quote is from the article above—“Montgomery County, Maryland’s richest county, is facing a budget shortfall of nearly $1 billion as high-income residents flee the state’s millionaires tax.”

Welcome to the real world. Because of massive budget shortfalls brought on by unbridled government spending, Montgomery County, Maryland is experiencing something other municipalities and states can look forward to. The payday for programs they couldn’t afford and didn’t need has finally arrived.

Governments at all levels—federal, state, and local—have been spending as though there would be no tomorrow. Those millionaires from Montgomery County who are fleeing the sinking ship probably pushed hard for the unnecessary programs that brought about the fiscal mess. It’s ironic that the millionaires who can pick up and leave when the going gets tough caused the problem and the people who can’t afford to leave have to stick around and pay the bills. Once again, welcome to the real world.

Austerity measures are in the cards for Montgomery County, Maryland right now. Get used to it, because they are coming to your community soon no matter where you live. Take California, for instance. The Golden State has to pay the piper too. Is it fair for the Montgomery County residents who can’t leave to have to pay the bills run up by the fleeing rich? Is it fair for the Californians who are forced to stay put because their real estate values have plummeted to endure the tax hikes that are staring them in the face? The answer to both questions is, NO, but it doesn’t matter. The bills still have to be paid.

Either we will impose restraints on government spending or our creditors will do it for us. Higher taxes are not the solution. They only hide the problem, and besides, people who can afford to pay higher taxes can also afford to leave—as Montgomery County, Maryland now knows. The time has come to examine every dollar being spent by public officials. Unnecessary and marginal programs need to go. The new mantra needs to be “If we can’t afford it, we don’t need it.” Thankfully, November 2010 is right around the corner. Keep these things in mind because your vote matters.
