Yeshua is Yahweh

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He (Yeshua) was in the beginning with God.  All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.  In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.  The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (John 1: 1-5)

So begins the Gospel of John.  In this beautiful introduction, John declares that the Word of God is God.  We know from the last chapter that the Word of God is Yahweh and that John is talking about Yeshua.  Therefore, John is saying that Yeshua is Yahweh.

John 1: 3 says that Yeshua created everything, and Genesis 1: 1 says that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  Therefore, John is saying that Yeshua is the Creator.  By the way, John 1: 3 is the precise definition of the Hebrew word for created (bara) that is used in Genesis 1: 1.  Bara means to create something from nothing.

“He (Yeshua) was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.  He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His Name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1: 10-14)

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Yeshua the Messiah.  No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.” (John 1: 17-18)

John 1: 12 says that we become the children of God when we “believe in His Name.”  The Name to which this verse refers must be Yahweh.  A study of the Scriptures shows that it cannot be another name.  Then John tells us that the Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us.  Yahweh, the God of all creation, came to earth in the form of Yeshua the Messiah to teach us and to fulfill His promise to redeem and save us.  The meaning of the Name He was actually given at birth, Yeshua, is “Yahweh saves” or “Yahweh is salvation.”  Thus, Yeshua’s Name tells us who He is and what He came to do.

The Greek word translated as “dwelt” in John’s introduction is “skenoo”.  It means “to tabernacle” or literally “to pitch your tent”.  In other words, Yahweh, in the form of Yeshua, pitched His tent and tabernacled among us the way He did in the wilderness with the Children of Israel.  However, when Yeshua came, Yahweh revealed Himself to us completely.  In the wilderness, the Children of Israel could see only His Shekinah, but John and many others saw His bodily form, and before He returned to heaven they saw His glorified form.  Isaiah foretold all of this, and he called Him Immanuel—“God who is with us.”  Yeshua is God who is with us.

Commonsense: This quote is from the article above—“Rewriting America’s nuclear strategy, the White House on Tuesday announced a fundamental shift that calls the spread of atomic weapons to rogue states or terrorists a worse threat than the nuclear Armageddon feared during the Cold War.”

At long last, do you get it, Mr. President?  Can you tell us what the “rogue states” you mentioned and the “terrorists” have in common?  Do most of them share a belief system, for instance?  How would you describe them?  Is there a religious element involved?  Are there other “rogue states” and “rogue state wannabes”?  These are important questions.  Do you have answers, and are you willing to share them?

Then I read this article:

Peculiar.  You finally admit that there are terrorists among us and that some countries are run by scoundrels.  Then you hasten to point out that we will no longer call them what they are.  Mr. President, one religion in the world today has been hijacked, and it’s controlled by radical terrorists.  I’ll say it even if you won’t.  Do we have to suffer through another 9/11 before you wake up?

Unlike Columbia and Harvard and Chicago and the U.S. Senate, in this game mistakes have immediate life-and-death consequences.  You’ve already turned the Middle East into a powder keg.  The Arabs you’re courting, many of whom are radical Islamist terrorists, don’t love you or even admire you, and they certainly don’t respect you.  It’s naiveté they see in you, and they’re taking full advantage of it because they believe you’re not up to the task.  That’s obvious in everything they say and do.

You and your minions have lambasted our only real friend in the region—Israel.  They know what it means to be surrounded by radical Islamist terrorists whose only goal in life is to destroy them.  They aren’t like your two trusty sidekicks, Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod.  Safe inside the West Wing, those nattering nabobs bark like wolves, but if they had to face off with a radical Islamist terrorist, they would yap like Chihuahuas and probably soil themselves.

Wake up, Mr. President, before it’s too late.
