“Seek Yahweh while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return to Yahweh, and He will have compassion on him. Turn to our Elohim, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

Have Faith in Yahweh

I’m 71-years-old. At this point in my life, I can look back and see Yahweh’s hand in everything I ever did. Most of the things that made no sense to me while they were happening make sense to me now.

As I look back, the thing that strikes me most is that Yahweh loved me through it all. During the good times and the bad times, Yahweh was with me watching over me and protecting me so that I would come out of whatever it was as a stronger person.

No matter what you are going through, good or bad, Yahweh is with you. During the bad times, it’s almost impossible to feel Yahweh’s presence, but He is there with you. You can have faith that He is in the midst of whatever you are going through, and He will do for you what He has been doing for His children over the millennia. That’s His job, and He is good at it.

Sometimes I wish Yahweh would make His presence felt all the time, but that’s not the way He works. I think the reason why Yahweh allows us to feel like we are alone sometimes is to strengthen our faith. As they say, faith that hasn’t been tested can’t be trusted.

Every child of Yahweh has a story to tell. He is preparing us for eternity with Him. Our journey begins before we are born and continues to the very end of our lives. If we are part of His family, when it’s time for us to go back home to be with Him, we will have accomplished our mission. All that Yahweh requires from us is faith that He is able to do His job and the willingness to do what He tells us to do.

Most of the things that Yahweh wants us to do are explained in the Bible, but not all of them. Each one of us was created for a purpose. Our unique mission isn’t presented in the Bible. Yahweh tells us about it privately. We must listen for His voice and learn to recognize it. When we hear His voice, we must have faith and move ahead with confidence. Then Yahweh will do things through us that we could not do on our own. Those things become part of our story.

See Hebrews 11 for the stories of several people who followed Yahweh.

When you are going through hard times, don’t lose heart and give up. Have faith in Yahweh. He can get you through whatever it is, and you will be better off for having endured it no matter how bad it is.

When you are experiencing good times, don’t make the mistake of believing that you did it on your own. Those good times came from Yahweh, too. Remember, Yahweh resists the proud. Learn to give Yahweh the credit He deserves.

This is the bottom line: Have faith in Yahweh. That’s the only way to please Him. Real faith has legs that are willing to go where Yahweh leads. I call it “the faith of Abraham”.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life — only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”

John 10: 14-18
