Antifa Thugs and their “Liberal Progressive” Enablers

Read this article: “Apologetic Syrian Family Closes Restaurant after Son took part in Antifa protest”:

A Syrian family whose son is part of the violent anarchist group “antifa” has closed its restaurant Soufi’s in Toronto’s West Queen West neighbourhood.

On Tuesday, the windows were covered up and signs were plastered on the outside of the building informing customers that they were closing their doors permanently. The Alsoufi family who owned and operated the restaurant could be seen sitting inside, but refused to comment or speak to True North.

“As a result of numerous hate messages and death threats we’ve received over the past week, we’ve decided to permanently close our shop,” the sign read, without providing any details about these alleged threats or whether they had reported them to Police.

“Since we opened up Soufi’s in 2017, we have been met with nothing but curiosity, respect, acceptance and love from the people of Toronto, and for that we are eternally grateful.”

That all changed on Sunday, September 29th when the Alsoufi family’s son, Alaa Alsoufi, was caught on camera at an antifa riot outside a Hamilton campaign event with People Party leader Maxime Bernier.

Video footage of an elderly woman with a walker being accosted by masked protesters that evening went viral, being viewed more than seven million times on Twitter.

While antifa members wear masks and go to great lengths to conceal their identities — typically so they can be violent and destroy private property with impunity — this Syrian man publicly revealed himself to apologize for his role in intimidating the elderly woman.

“Last Sunday, during a anti-hate and anti-fascism rally I was attending in Hamilton an elderly couple attending the hate event was blocked and yelled at by the protester next to me, which was unacceptable and wrong and contrary to the message of tolerance I was trying to spread,” he wrote on Facebook.

His family also echoed this message, apologizing and confirming that their son Alaa was one of the protesters at the event.

“We would like to formally apologize for the incident that occurred with the elderly woman. Alaa regrets that he did not step aside and/or stand up against the act of verbal abuse that occurred against her, and would love the opportunity to personally extend his apologies to her,” the family said, adding that their son did not in any way verbally or physically assault the elderly woman.

“Our family and business do not condone acts of hate, violence or harassment in any shape or form, and advocate for peace, equality and free speech for all human beings. Our family immigrated to Canada with the intention of living and working peacefully.”

In the viral video, three masked protesters can be seen blocking a crosswalk and screaming at the woman and her son as they try to cross the street.

“Nazi scum, off our streets, Nazi scrum, off our streets,” one of the masked protesters can be heard screaming. The elderly woman’s son later described the scene in an op/ed.

“A black-masked and rage-filled youth decided to scream as loudly as possible in her ear that she was a Nazi. Once inside, my mother complained of having trouble hearing in that ear which was particularly cruel since we were attending an event that required us to listen to ideas.”

After significant criticism of his brutish actions, Alla deleted his Facebook account last Wednesday night.

Prior to deleting his Facebook page, however, it stated he is originally from Homs, Syria and moved to Canada in December 2015. He wrote a post at the time about his move to Canada, and dozens of his friends replied to congratulate him on getting into Canada.

This date would likely make him one of the 25,000 Syrian refugees brought in by Justin Trudeau on his election promise to fast-track Syrians into Canada on an artificial timeline. As reported by the Sun at the time, this required the Canadian government to skip important security screening, vetting and integration programs that refugees normally go through before coming to Canada.

According to Alla’s public Instagram account, he was in Turkey prior to coming to Canada, which also aligns with Trudeau’s Syrian refugee program.

“The (Trudeau government) plan indicated that Canada would collaborate with the UNHCR and the Turkish government to identify refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey,” read a report by the Government of Canada on the Syrian refugee program.

Alaa’s Facebook page also revealed that he is involved in a number of extremist and far-left causes. On Facebook, he “likes” a number of leftist pages, including Antifa Toronto, Climate Strike Toronto, Canadaland, CUPE 3902 Racialised Workers’ Caucus, The Toronto Star, No One Is Illegal, and anti-Semitic events including Al Quds Day, Toronto BDS and Students Against Israel Apartheid. He also “likes” Justin Trudeau’s partisan page.

Antifa — which gets its name from the words Anti-Fascist — are a group of far-left extremists who wear masks to conceal their identities while participating in violent and destructive street protests. The US Department of Homeland Security has referred to antifa’s actions as “domestic terrorist violence.”

While claiming to fight against hate and fascism, these masked extremists practice their own brand of fascism — using violence to intimidate and stop those with whom they disagree.

The elderly woman had a message for these antifa fascists, which she recorded in a video that is also going viral on social media.

“Free speech is the cornerstone of our democracy and it can never and will never be denied.”

The Alsoufi Family

The Alsoufi family immigrated to Canada from Syria a few years ago and prospered. Their dreams came true, but their son, Alaa, became an anarchist and a violent thug. He must have started sinking into the dark abyss as soon as he arrived in Canada. More about him next, but before I proceed, I want to ask this question:

Is it right to blame a young man’s family for his crimes?

The answer is NO!

Alaa Alsoufi is guilty, not his parents. In a perfect world, people would not blame Alaa’s parents for his crimes, but we don’t live in a perfect world. Angry people respond in anger. They want retribution, period.

Parents, keep that in mind. Your children are not just putting themselves in harm’s way. They are putting everyone in their families in danger when they engage in reprehensible criminal acts.

Thanks to the policies of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, there are thousands of Alaa Alsoufis in Canada, maybe tens of thousands. They are a serious problem for our neighbors to the north.

Parents, do you know where your children are?

Who is Alaa Alsoufi?

The man behind the mask is Alaa Alsoufi, the restauranteur’s son. Who is he? What was he trying to accomplish?

As you can see in the video above, Alaa Alsoufi is not a newcomer to the Antifa scene. He’s a regular, and he’s been at it a long time.

Alaa’s parents aren’t destitutes. They are business owners who were welcomed warmly by the Canadian people.

The Alsoufis left a war-torn country seeking a better way of life for themselves and their children. They found what they were looking for, but their son turned to crime.

It’s easy to understand why many people in Canada are angry. Indiscriminate retribution is not the answer, though. Only the guilty should be held accountable. If the guilty aren’t held accountable, the anger of decent Canadians will grow and eventually explode.

Reopening Under New Management

The Alsoufis’ restaurant is reopening thanks to the intervention of “a large international restaurant chain”. See “‘We do not wish to set a tragic example’: Toronto Syrian restaurant to reopen in face of threats”:

But the image of the little old lady being abused by protesters caught fire. The man in the orange shirt — whose photo was also taken without his balaclava — was soon identified on Twitter as Alaa Al-Soufi, whose parents run Soufi’s a small Syrian restaurant on Toronto’s Queen Street West.

Now, after briefly closing in response to threats and hate messages, Soufi’s is to reopen with great fanfare Friday morning under the temporary management of a large international restaurant chain.

Mohamad Fakih, chief executive of the Paramount Middle Eastern Kitchen chain, told a press conference at Soufi’s Thursday morning that two of his managers would be dispatched to keep the business going. All staff, some of whom are refugees, will be rehired. And all profit and ownership will remain with the Al-Soufi family, which announced the closure earlier this week.

Let’s hope the Alsoufi family deals with their internal problems. “Opening Under New Management” is a good start, but it’s not the answer unless the Alsoufi family, all of them, have a change of heart. If they want Canada to resemble Syria, they should return to Syria.

Antifa in the United States

Antifa is a serious problem in the United States, too. Our problem is homegrown. Let’s take a look at a couple of examples of Antifa at work in America.

Normal people would say that assaulting an elderly man in a wheelchair is a cowardly act, because it is. What is going through the mind of a person who would do that and through the minds of his accomplices who are standing nearby watching and cheering him on?

It’s obvious that their view of the world is perverted. They must think that hiding behind masks will conceal their identities.

It won’t. It will take a little time, but all of them will be found out.

UC Berkeley

UC Berkeley is a hotbed of unrest. It has been for decades.

A few months ago, a conservative man was attacked on the “liberal progressive” UC Berkeley campus for his political beliefs. The Antifa thug who initiated the attack believes that he has a right to share his views and a right to physically attack anyone who has different beliefs.

That’s what fascists to do.

Zachary Greenberg is the Antifa thug in the video. He wasn’t wearing a mask. He was identified, apprehended, and charged with crimes. There has been no word yet on the outcome of those charges.

Zachary Greenberg, 28, is charged with assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, battery with serious bodily injury and criminal threats for his alleged attack on Hayden Williams, an organizer with the conservative group Turning Point USA, while Williams was manning a table at Sproul Plaza on Feb. 19.

The “alleged attacker”? Are you kidding me?

It’s hard to use the word “alleged” when we have incontrovertible proof on video that the attack occurred and that Zachary Greenberg is guilty. He pleaded not guilty, though.

Zachary Greenberg, a 28-year-old software engineer, entered his plea Wednesday at the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse in Oakland, Fox News reported.

Mr. Greenberg is charged with felony assault, felony battery, felony criminal threats and misdemeanor vandalism for his alleged attack on Hayden Williams, a Leadership Institute field representative who was recruiting conservative students for Turning Point USA during the Feb. 19 incident at UC Berkeley.

No Repentance

On the day that Greenberg went to court and heard the charges against him, he and his lawyer were confronted by the media outside the courtroom. Let’s take a look:

Greenberg’s lawyer did what lawyers do. She declared his innocence. Of course, Greenberg is as guilty as sin, but lawyers don’t get paid to tell the truth.

Watch the video again. Look at the expression on Greenberg’s face and his mannerisms. They are nonverbal cues that point to his deep-seated depravity and his guilt.

At this stage, Greenberg is an unrepentant degenerate. He can change, but will he?

There are thousands of unrepentant degenerates like Zachary Greenberg running loose on the streets of America, probably tens of thousands. Paradoxically, all of them think they are “liberal” and “progressive”.

Apprehending one of them is a good thing, but Greenberg must be held accountable. If he isn’t, he will encourage others like him to pursue their depravity with reckless abandon.

“Liberal Progressive”? What a Joke

The Democrat Party is the home of depraved degenerates like Zachary Greenberg. Democrat politicians’ calls to violence in public places tell us that they want a showdown.

Zachary Greenberg heard their call and answered it.

Decent people are finally waking up. They will not stand by idly and watch while so-called “liberal progressive” thugs attack them and their families.

For the most part, “liberal progressives” have the media in their pockets. The establishment media does its best to cover up the crimes being committed by their comrades in politics, but it isn’t working. It won’t work, either. People are turning away from the establishment media for a reason. It can’t be trusted.

In the world today, it takes a lot to get people’s attention. Thanks to Alaa Alsoufi and Zachary Greenberg, people in Canada and the United States are waking up. It’s not too late yet, but too late is just around the corner.

I love the video below. It’s a scene from the movie No Country for Old Men. It really does take a lot to get people’s attention, but we are finally there.
