Americans are Winning, Democrats are Losing
Democrats aren’t serious about solving our nation’s illegal immigration problem. Their argument that opening the government must be a prelude to negotiations is as phony as a three-dollar bill.
Our illegal immigration problem isn’t new. It’s been growing for decades. It has destabilized communities all across our nation, opened the door for the trafficking of illegal drugs, introduced human trafficking, and led to a multitude of serious crimes and the loss of thousands of innocent lives. Congress has failed to deal with the problem preferring instead to play political games and pass the problem on to the next administration.
President Trump shocked the Washington establishment, Democrats and Republicans. With his actions, he told them that “the buck stops here,” and he meant it. Most establishment Republicans read the writing on the wall and hit the road. A few of them remain, but their days are numbered. Democrats doubled down on their stupidity. The have gone off the rails and tilted hard to the left.
Democrats see our illegal immigration problem as fertile ground for growing the number of Democrat voters. They hope to create a reality where a majority of Americans are totally dependent on government for survival with Democrats in charge of doling out our tax dollars to support them.
It’s a backdoor strategy for imposing socialism on unsuspecting Americans. So far, they have been successful. We have been creeping toward socialism for a very long time.
After decades of playing games, Democrats want us to believe that the only obstacle to a solution now is a temporary government shutdown that started a few days ago. That argument is insane. It’s a bald-faced lie. Democrats are trying to buy time in hopes of regaining the White House in 2020.
President Trump called their bluff. George W. Bush didn’t do it, but he should have. His father didn’t do it, either, but he should have, too. It took a man with no political experience, precious few diplomatic skills, and a sincere desire to solve our nation’s problems to make any headway.
Democrats are befuddled. Borrowing a line from Winston Churchill, to Democrats, Donald Trump “is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.” Nothing Democrats have done has worked, and like a Timex watch, the president has taken their licking and kept on ticking.
Nancy Pelosi’s letter to the president telling him to postpone the State of the Union Address was a shot across his bow. President Trump’s response, cancelling a Democrat boondoggle at taxpayer expense, was the president’s unexpected reply.
The president’s action wasn’t an immature stunt as Democrats hope we will believe. It was part of a strategy that leads to serious discussions—something that hasn’t happened for decades. The president’s critics are saying now what they have been saying since the day he took office: “Donald Trump doesn’t know what he is doing.”
With each passing day, that argument is less and less persuasive since the president keeps moving from one improbable victory to the next. He has accomplished more in 2 years than Barack Obama accomplished in 8 years, and he’s picking up a head of steam.
President Trump’s message to Pelosi was loud and clear. He isn’t going to play by the old rules. He has presidential power, and he’s not afraid to use it to protect the American people. Compared to presidential power, the power of the Speaker of the House is like a popgun.
The American people are beginning to wake up, but we have a long way to go before they are wide awake. Shutting down the government is drawing attention to the real problem. No one who has been furloughed during a government shutdown has ever lost a cent. No one will lose a cent this time, either. The American people will be the winners, and Democrats will be the losers.
By using a government shutdown, President Trump took the most powerful weapon in the Democrat arsenal and used it against them.
Nancy Pelosi has no idea what President Trump might do next. He has executive authority. He can use it in ways that Pelosi can hardly imagine. I would love to see the president move Pelosi’s office to the basement next to a public toilet. Candidly, I would love to see him move her office to a public toilet.
Unlike his predecessors and Democrats who aspire to follow him in the Oval Office, Donald Trump is not trying to feather his political nest. He has no personal political ambitions. He promised to address our nation’s problems and to solve them. He’s doing it. For the first time since Ronald Reagan, we are witnessing a president who isn’t afraid to do his job.
Too few citizens today can remember the air traffic controller strike in 1981. (See the video below.) President Reagan fired most of them and banned them from ever being rehired by the FAA. Nothing like that has happened since 1981. The American people were the winners then, and Democrats were the losers. History is repeating itself.
Democrats are trying to portray Donald Trump as the anti-Christ, but like Satan, they are using every dirty trick in the book. Still, they are losing. In the process, Democrats are revealing their true identities.
Underneath a thin veneer, Democrat higher-ups are evil people with sinister desires. Decent people who think of themselves as Democrats are being forced to rethink their loyalties. Are they Americans or are they Democrats?
This is a spiritual battle. It’s playing out in the hard knocks political arena. Yahweh chose President Trump because he’s not afraid to fight, and he knows how to win.
