People Who Talk Like They Know Exactly What Yahweh is Doing are Whistling Dixie

There is a preacher in Texas who has a megachurch.  Most of my readers would know his name so I won’t use it.

He has figured out the Messiah’s Second Coming.  He “knows” everything there is to know, and he proudly struts on the stage as he explains Yahweh’s plan to his followers.

The preacher has prepared a chart depicting Yahweh’s return step-by-step, move-by-move.  There is no doubt in his mind.  He has left out nothing.

I laughed when I saw the preacher present his chart to his congregation.  I told a friend of mine that he sounds like he’s on the planning committee for the Second Coming.

Only Yahweh Knows the Details

There is only one way to know what Yahweh is going to do.  Either He tells you or you are just guessing.

Yahweh tells His prophets about His plans in advance.  There have been many of them, and many more will come.  For example,

  • Yahweh to Moses: “Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” (Exodus 4: 12)
  • Yahweh to Moses: “I will raise up for [my people] a prophet like you…and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him.” (Deuteronomy 18: 18)
  • Yahweh to Jeremiah, “I have put my words in your mouth.” (Jeremiah 1: 9)
  • Yahweh to Ezekiel: “You must speak my words to them.” (Ezekiel 2: 7)

Evaluating Prophets

Yahweh told us how to evaluate prophets.  He said, “When a prophet speaks in the name of Yahweh, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.” (Deuteronomy 18: 22)

According to Yahweh, every word that a prophet speaks in Yahweh’s Name will come true.  If even one of a prophet’s words turns out to be false, then he is a false prophet.

A prophet is not like a hitter in baseball.  If a baseball player has a .375 batting average, he’s a great hitter.  If a prophet is right 99.999% of the time, he’s not Yahweh’s prophet.

The penalty for prophesying falsely is death. This is what Yahweh said, “But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.” (Deuteronomy 18: 20)

New Testament Writers Warned Us About False Prophets

Knowing that there would be false prophets, New Testament writers warned us to be very careful before believing what we are told.  For example,

  • “Test all things; hold fast what is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
  • “For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)
  • “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of Elohim; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of Elohim: Every spirit that confesses that Y’shua has come in the flesh is of Elohim, and every spirit that does not confess that Y’shua the Messiah has come in the flesh is not of Elohim. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1 John 4:1-4)

Then Came Saudi Arabia

Yahweh is concerned about the whole world, but the Middle East is especially important to Him because the Promised Land is in the Middle East.  Even more, Jerusalem is there, and Yahweh chose Jerusalem as His city forever.  That’s why Jerusalem is called The Eternal City.

The Middle East is boiling.  Syria is engaged in a civil war.  Iraq is in turmoil.  Iran wants to control the Middle East and annihilate Israel.  Turkey is trying to recreate the Ottoman Empire and is vying with Iran for control in the region.  North Africa is seething.  Egypt isn’t altogether stable.  Russia, China, the U.S., and Europe are playing roles all over the Middle East.

Until a few days ago, Saudi Arabia was relatively stable.  That changed in a hurry when Turkish authorities said they have proof that Saudi Arabia lured Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi national who contributes to The Washington Post, to its consulate in Istanbul.

Turkish authorities say that Khashoggi was tortured, murdered, and dismembered by the Saudis inside their Istanbul consulate.  That set off a firestorm in Washington.  Members of the Senate have said that Khashoggi’s murder is a gamechanger.  President Trump has said he is gathering facts.  In the end, if the charges against Saudi Arabia prove to be true, the United States will be expected to take action.

For details see the articles and videos below:

Yahweh Knows What He is Doing

Until a few days ago, no one would have guessed that Saudi Arabia would be in this predicament, and no one would have thought that the relationship between Saudi Arabia and the United States would sour, but it’s happening.

It pays to remember that President Trump is Yahweh’s man for a time like this.  He is listening to Yahweh and doing what Yahweh wants him to do.  He will handle this problem the way Yahweh expects, and it won’t be the way the president’s critics expect.

At the end of the day, President Trump will protect Israel during these difficult times.  Things might get a lot worse before they start to improve, but the president will be there for Israel no matter what happens.

The Preacher Left this Development Out

The preacher that I mentioned earlier didn’t include this development in his End of Days presentation.  He didn’t include it because he didn’t know about it.

Many more things will happen that the preacher didn’t consider.  He’s not a prophet.  He’s an entertainer.

Test the spirits.  Some of them are not from Yahweh.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
