The Times of Israel—US slams Gaza leaders who send children to border, ‘knowing they may be killed’:

The White House on Thursday called on Palestinians to engage in solely peaceful protests and stay at least 500 meters from Gaza’s border with Israel, on the eve of fresh demonstrations supported by Gaza’s Hamas terrorist rulers along the border.

While the UN issued a warning to Israel to use “extreme caution” in facing the mass protests, US President Donald Trump’s Mideast envoy Jason Greenblatt put the onus squarely on Palestinians.

Greenblatt said protesters “should remain outside the 500-meter buffer zone; and should not approach the border fence in any way or any location.”

He added, in a statement: “We condemn leaders and protestors who call for violence or who send protestors — including children — to the fence, knowing that they may be injured or killed. Instead, we call for a renewed focus by all parties on finding solutions to the dire humanitarian challenges facing Gazans.”

Earlier on Thursday, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres urged Israel to exercise “extreme caution,” and to allow Palestinians to protest peacefully along the border.

“I particularly urge Israel to exercise extreme caution with the use of force in order to avoid casualties. Civilians must be able to exercise their right to demonstrate peacefully,” Guterres said in a statement.

Thousands of Palestinians are expected to gather near the Gaza Strip’s border with Israel on Friday. Organizers said they will try to stop protesters hurling stones or rolling burning tires at Israeli troops, but Hamas leaders have declared in recent days that they plan “surprises” and that the ultimate goal of the marches is to remove the border and liberate Palestine.

“I reiterate my call on all concerned to refrain from any act that could lead to further violence or place civilians in harm’s way, especially children,” said Guterres. “I call upon all parties on the ground to avoid confrontation and exercise maximum restraint.”

SnyderTalk Comment:

Hamas doesn’t want peace with Israel.  These demonstrations are associated with President Trump’s plan to move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and with Israel’s 70th anniversary in a few days.

See “Israel to celebrate 70th birthday with 70-hour spectacle”.

Hamas is using children now the same way they did during the last operation/war.  They tied children to fences around hospitals, schools, and mosques where they stored guns and ammo and from which they launched rockets toward Israel knowing that Israel had no choice but to retaliate.

Those kids were tied there so they couldn’t flee to a safe location.  They were put there to die for the Western media.

Hamas will repeat their evil tactic again today, Friday April 6, 2018.  Regrettably, the Western media will focus on kids being killed or injured again.  It’s part of the Palestinian Two-Step.  You have to be totally ignorant, a fool, or an evil person not to see it.

Switching Gears Slightly

“Liberal progressives” in the U.S. picked up on Hamas’ strategy and deployed it during the March for Our Lives.  They put children out front to take the hits.  I fear for the lives of David Hogg and Emma González.  They are being used, but they don’t know and/or don’t care.

They should care.  They are in great danger.  Hogg’s father was an FBI agent.  He should know that.  He should have stopped his son from being played like a fiddle by “liberal progressives” who want to repeal the Second Amendment.

“Liberal progressives” are evil people.  David Hogg, in particular, seems to relish his notoriety.  He’s either too dumb to know what he’s done, or he thinks he’s going to benefit somehow from his naïveté.

I’m thankful that David Hogg isn’t my son, but if he were, we would have a serious heart-to-heart discussion.  Personally, I hold his parents responsible for anything that happens to him.  I think that allowing him to become the point person in this political battle is a form of child abuse.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
