Global Warming Hogwash

By 2050, our sun is expected to be unusually cool.

It’s what scientists have termed a “grand minimum” — a particularly low point in what is otherwise a steady 11-year cycle.

Over this cycle, the sun’s tumultuous heart races and rests.

At its high point, the nuclear fusion at the sun’s core forces more magnetic loops high into its boiling atmosphere — ejecting more ultraviolet radiation and generating sunspots and flares.

When it’s quiet, the sun’s surface goes calm. It ejects less ultraviolet radiation.

Now scientists have scoured the skies and history for evidence of an even greater cycle amid these cycles.

GRAND MINIMUM

One particularly cool period in the 17th century guided their research.

An intense cold snap between 1645 and 1715 has been dubbed the “Maunder Minimum.”

In England, the Thames river froze over. The Baltic Sea was covered in ice — so much so that the Swedish army was able to march across it to invade Denmark in 1658.

But the cooling was not uniform: Distorted weather patterns warmed up Alaska and Greenland.

These records were combined with 20 years of data collected by the International Ultraviolet Explorer satellite mission, as well as observations of nearby stars similar to the sun.

Now physicist Dan Lubin at the University of California San Diego has calculated an estimate of how much dimmer the sun is likely to be when the next such grand minimum takes place.

His team’s study, “Ultraviolet Flux Decrease Under a Grand Minimum from IUE Short-wavelength Observation of Solar Analogs,” has been published in the journal Astrophysical Journal Letters.

It Makes Me Angry

Articles like this make me angry.

All my life, I have loved astronomy and anything related to outer-space.  If I had it to do over again, I might have been an astrophysicist.  I love it, because it makes me think about Yahweh and how magnificent He is.

This quote from Albert Einstein gets at the heart of the matter for me: “The universe is so extraordinary only God could have created it. My job is only to figure out how he did it.”

I love thinking about Yahweh.  The universe is a small part of His creation, and it’s amazing.

I have had a telescope since I was a young boy.

Katie’s first gift to me was a more powerful telescope.

So, why do articles like this make me angry?

It’s probably not what you think.

This article talks about a sun cycle that will cool the earth.

Sun cycles can last for a very long time and change earth’s climate dramatically.

This article talks about a sun cycle that should begin in a few years. When it begins, we may go into something like a Little Ice Age or possibly worse.  Predicting the effects of sun cycles is very difficult for many reasons.

I get angry when I read articles like this, because they make me think about Al Gore and Jerry Brown and other hucksters who are selling global warming for fame and fortune.

They are bilking the public with strong support from “liberal progressive” Democrats and the establishment media.

They’ve gone global with their con. Today, “liberal progressive” leaders from countries around the world pimp the global warming con as though earth’s climate is something they can control with our money, of course.

It’s a ponzi scheme, a government orchestrated fraud.

Stated simply, they are wrong about almost everything, but they have convinced politicians around the world to pick our pockets and fund programs that are designed to make them rich and politically powerful.

Did you know that Al Gore, a man with precious little talent and even less intelligence, has made hundreds of millions of dollars personally off his global warming scam?

Jerry Brown, a man who has been dubbed “Governor Moonbeam” for good reasons, refers to people like me as “climate change deniers”.

I don’t deny climate change.  The climate is changing, and it has been changing since the creation. I reject the theory that humankind has anything meaningful to do with it.  That’s what the facts tell us, and it should be obvious.

The most significant climate change periods in earth’s history took place long before humankind existed.  The most recent significant climate change period in earth’s history, the Little Ice Age, occurred before industrialization.  That’s important, because Al Gore and Governor Moonbeam and other global warming shysters blame so-called “global warming” on industrialization.

Global warming alarmists are lying, and they are stealing from us and making themselves rich and powerful in the process.  It’s as simple as that.

For what it’s worth, I think we should prepare for some very cold weather.  Get used to it, because there is nothing we can do about it.

Switching Gears Slightly

I think we are living through the most evil period in earth’s history since the days of Noah.  I shouldn’t have to tell anyone what Yahweh did then.  Evidence of the Great Flood is everywhere.  The Grand Canyon is a perfect example.  So is the Copper Canyon in Mexico.

The Grand Canyon is awe-inspiring, but the Copper Canyon is more magnificent.

I think our world today makes Sodom and Gomorrah look like idyllic places to live.  I’ve seen the ash heaps that those cities became when Yahweh decided to wipe them out.  I have in my possession remnants of the brimstone that Yahweh rained down on them.  When they are lit, they generate enough heat to melt rock.  It’s not ordinary stuff.

This is what scares me most: we can’t do what we are doing and expect Yahweh to do nothing about it.  He is kind, loving, and merciful, but He’s also the Sovereign Creator and the Ultimate Judge.  His patience with us goes just so far.  When He decides to act, it can be devastating, more terrifying than we can imagine.

I like the way the Messiah explained it, and I’m paraphrasing, “Don’t fear someone because he can kill you.  If you want to fear someone, fear the only Person who can kill you and send you to hell for eternity.”

He wasn’t making small talk.

Some may think I’m a cynic.  I suppose that’s possible, but I may be spot on.  I think I’m right on the money.
