The Washington Post—Palestinian leader attacks Trump, calling his peace deal the ‘slap of the century’:

JERUSALEM — In a combative, two-hour speech brimming with colorful insults, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas denounced President Trump on Sunday, calling his forthcoming peace proposal “the slap of the century.”

He said Palestinians were being offered the Jerusalem suburb of Abu Dis as the capital of their future state, rather than East Jerusalem, which most of the international community considers illegally occupied by Israel. The area sits outside Israel’s security barrier and has been floated but rejected as a capital for a Palestinian state in previous negotiations.

“We said no to Trump,” Abbas said. “We won’t accept his project; his deal of the century is the slap of the century, and we will respond.”

Trump has charged his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt with working out “the deal of the century” — a peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians. They have not formally presented a plan.

Abbas was addressing members of the Palestinian Central Council as they began to discuss their response to the U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Proposals include rescinding Palestinian recognition of Israel, pursuing Israel for war crimes at the International Criminal Court and advancing efforts for a Palestinian state to be recognized internationally.

While Trump said at the time that the Jerusalem decision would have no impact on the final status of the contested city, he later tweeted that it had been taken “off the table” for negotiations, from which he accused the Palestinians of walking away.

Discussing the tweets, Abbas said there were no negotiations to walk away from.

“I see a tweet,” he said. “We will not give Palestinians money because they refuse to negotiate.”

His frustration was evident. “May your house be destroyed,” he said, aiming a common Arab insult at Trump.

He questioned where Trump had offered negotiations. “On the phone? On television?”

Abbas has said that the United States can no longer be a fair arbiter for negotiations, but that the Palestinians are open to talks in line with the Arab Peace Initiative, a framework endorsed by the Arab League in 2002.

SnyderTalk Comment:

President Trump is learning the truth about Palestinians from Palestinians.

There’s a good reason why no Arab country wants to absorb so-called “Palestinian refugees”.  They are malicious and dangerous.  Wherever they go, they create havoc.

The former King of Jordan, King Hussein, the father of King Abdullah, tried to lend Palestinians a helping hand in the 1960s shortly after they decided to become “Palestinians”.  He offered them a place to live inside Jordan’s borders.  In return for the king’s generosity, PLO leader Yasser Arafat demanded that the king partition Jordan and give the PLO a huge swath of his country.  When King Hussein rejected Arafat’s demand, Arafat started a war in Jordan.

King Hussein’s response is called “Black September”.  The king killed more than 10,000 Palestinians in short order and drove the PLO out of Jordan and into Lebanon.

Arafat and his PLO terrorists pulled the same trick in Lebanon.  They fomented the Lebanese Civil War.  In the first year of fighting, between 40,000 and 60,000 people were killed, most of them civilians.  The war lasted for about 15 years (1975-1990).  During that time, more than 120,000 people were killed, most of them civilians.  That paved the way for another terrorist group to take control in Lebanon—Hezbollah, the Iranian puppet regime that runs Lebanon today.

The current PA President, Mahmoud Abbas, was Yasser Arafat’s righthand man.  Today, he is trying to do the same thing in Israel that his predecessor did in Jordan and Lebanon.  For decades, Arafat and Abbas have lied to the world and won support from ignorant donors who funded their evil deeds.

Palestinians have met almost no resistance until now.  When President Trump was elected, the rules of the game changed.  That’s why Abbas is so upset.  The so-called “slap of the century” is nothing more than President Trump’s acceptance of reality and rejection of Palestinian lies.

Abbas is saying and doing what Palestinians have been saying and doing since they came into existence as a group in 1964.  Yesterday when Abbas said about President Trump, “May your house be destroyed,” he wasn’t kidding.  He is a purveyor of death and destruction.  That’s what Palestinians take with them wherever their feet hit the ground.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
