Fox News—California lawmakers vote to extend landmark climate change law:
California lawmakers voted Monday to extend a climate change initiative that Gov. Jerry Brown holds up as a model for states and nations looking to lower carbon emissions.
Brown’s signature will add another decade of life to the state’s cap-and-trade program, bolstering the Democratic governor’s quest to portray California as a leader in the fight against climate change at a time when President Donald Trump is pulling back.
“Tonight, California stood tall and once again, boldly confronted the existential threat of our time,” Brown said in a statement after the vote. “Republicans and Democrats set aside their differences, came together and took courageous action. That’s what good government looks like.”

“Cap-and-trade” is a money-making scheme that’s designed to enrich political and business higher-ups at everyone else’s expense. It’s a high and rising cost of production that’s hidden in the form of higher prices. You pay it every time you purchase a product.
In other words, you never see it. If you did, you would object.
In 2009, a University of Chicago economics professor estimated that cap-and-trade costs $300 per family per year. Actually, the cost per family was much more than that then, and it costs even more now.
In 2009, The Heritage Foundation predicted that cap-and-trade would be responsible for the loss of 2.5 million jobs in the U.S. by 2035. It also said that cap-and-trade resulted in a $393 billion loss in GDP in the U.S. in 2009 and that the annual loss in GDP would rise to $662 billion by 2035.
In other words, cap-and-trade is a big deal now, and it’s getting bigger every day. People you don’t know are getting filthy rich at your expense.
Governor Brown said that “California stood tall once again, boldly and confronted the existential threat of our time.” That’s a lie. Californians demonstrated once again that they don’t have common sense.
I won’t go over the lunacy of the “man-made pollution is the cause of climate change” theory, because I’ve been through it so many times in SnyderTalk already. I will say this, though: you have to be a special kind of gullible to buy into it.
I can understand why world leaders are embracing the theory. It’s a way for them to enrich themselves and their friends. I can’t understand why anyone else would knowingly and willingly get behind it.
Cap-and-trade is evidence that there is a kind of mass delusion at work globally. Either that or it’s a form of mass stupidity.
Someone is behind it, and it’s not Yahweh.
