Concerns about Safety and Security are not Anti-Muslim
“Liberals” among us represented predominantly by the Democrat Party and the mainstream media would have us believe that our concerns about safety and security because of creeping Islamism in the U.S. and Canada are manifestations of anti-Muslim ideology. That’s simply not true. They are legitimate fears that are supported by lots of hard evidence.
Before dealing with the developing problem in the U.S. and Canada, I want to direct your attention two articles that are written by people with diametrically opposed mindsets. The first one is from France. It’s written by Guy Millière and the title is “France: Islamic Antisemitism, French Silence”:
Paris, April 4, 2017, 4:00 am. A Malian Muslim named Kobili Traore breaks into the apartment of one of his neighbors, Sarah Halimi. He knows she is a Jew. In the past, He has repeatedly uttered anti-Semitic insults at her. Halimi and her family had filed complaints and asked the police to intervene. Each time, the police respond that Traore has not committed a criminal act, and that they did not want to be accused of anti-Muslim prejudice.
That day, Traore decides to go from words to deeds. He beats Halimi violently. He tortures her. She screams. Neighbors call the police. This time the police do something — but not enough.
When they arrive at Halimi’s door, they hear Traore shouting Allahu Akbar, and shaytan(“demon”). In a jarring breach of duty, they decide to run away. They walk out of the building and call for reinforcements.
The reinforcements arrive more than an hour later, at 5:30 am. It is too late. Halimi had been thrown out the window by Traore a few minutes earlier. She is dead. Her body lies on the sidewalk three floors below. It is clearly an anti-Semitic murder committed by a Muslim who invoked the name of Allah.
Traore is arrested and says that the Quran commanded him to kill, but he is not thrown in jail. Instead, he is sent to a psychiatric hospital. He is still there. Almost no one in the French media talks about what happened; they still have not. The few journalists who broke the wall of silence described the killing as a “random crime” committed by a “madman”. None of them says that the murderer is a Muslim who invoked the name of Allah and that his victim was a Jew.
Three days later, a rally is organized by Jewish leaders at the scene of the crime. Only Jews come. They are greeted by insults similar to those made against Halimi before her slaying. Bottles and metal objects are thrown at them from nearby buildings.
Members of Halimi’s family ask the authorities for an explanation, and demand to see the psychiatric report established at the time of Traore’s internment. They receive no reply. Joel Mergui, President of the Consistory, the institution charge of the Jewish religion in France, presses charges. Halimi’s sister places the case in the hands of a famous lawyer, Gilles-William Goldnadel, president of France-Israel. In an op-ed published in Le Figaro, Goldnadel emphasizes that “the killer has the classic profile of the usual Islamic criminal”. He adds that Traore “had no psychiatric history”. He notes that the murder occurred shortly before the French presidential election, and any mention of an antisemitic Islamic murder at that time would probably not have served the interests of Emmanuel Macron, the candidate supported by the Muslim Brotherhood in France. Goldnadel points out that a “political choice” was made by the French authorities.
Like Germany and England, France has passed the tipping point already. The French people are being subjected to a steady barrage of Islamist attacks because they failed to deal with their Islamist problem in its infancy. They let it develop and mature and pretended that opponents of pro-Islam government policies were somehow deranged or worse.
Now, let’s juxtapose Millière’s article one written by Ishaan Tharoor for the Washington Post. It’s titled “Some Trump supporters want a holy war”:
On Saturday, anti-Muslim activists held a number of sparsely attended protests across the United States. The ostensible reason for the demonstrations was opposition to Islamic law, or sharia, a cause that animates the lobbying organization that called the marches. But critics of that group, which has close ties to the Donald Trump campaign, argue that its anti-sharia posturing is a smokescreen for much broader hostility toward Muslims — a charge that can be similarly leveled at President Trump’s administration.
In various U.S. cities, the anti-sharia marches were confronted by a far larger number of counterprotesters, including Jewish groups that mobilized in solidarity with Muslims and people who described themselves as antifascists. In a few places, the two sides engaged in brief clashes that were broken up by police.
The demonstrations were coordinated by ACT for America, an organization designated as a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks right-wing extremism in the United States. Its leaders, as my colleagues reported, “have labeled Islam a ‘cancer,’ propagated theories of a secret plot by Muslims, Democrats, communists and the media to destroy the country from within, and sponsored lectures on how to monitor and oppose U.S. mosques.”
Never mind that there’s no vast Muslim American conspiracy to impose sharia law. Never mind that there’s no vast Muslim American conspiracy to take over institutions of power in Washington. Never mind that Muslim Americans form one of the most economically successful and well-educated communities in the United States.
I spend a fair amount of time exploring Israel. I’ve been doing it for two decades. Over the years, I have gotten to know and talked with hundreds if not thousands of Israeli people about their Palestinian problem. Almost to a person, they tell me that 85% of Palestinians are not a problem. That means only about 15% of Palestinians are threats to their safety and security.
Problem is 15% of a large number is a large number. If a large number of people dedicate themselves to the destruction of our way of life, they can create chaos. That’s what they are trying to do in Israel, the U.S., and Canada. That’s what they have done in Europe.
Islamists have a well-documented strategy. They don’t engage in open warfare with the societies they are attempting to infiltrate until their numbers are large enough. They know how our democracies work better than most of us do. They realize that until they reach about 10% of the population, they need to sit back and wait.
Once they reach about 10% of the population, they begin to exert political influence and try to turn government policy in their favor. As their percent of the population increases and government policies are put in place to provide them with special protections, they more aggressively advance their true agenda. Their goal is to impose Sharia law and make it the law of the land.
As I said, it’s a well-documented strategy. Europe has reached the point of open warfare already. It’s too late for Europeans. They can’t turn back the clock. They will have to pay the price for their foolishness, and it will be a high price.
In the U.S. and Canada, Islamism is just beginning to take hold. We have the opportunity now to prevent from happening here what is taking place all over Europe. The worst thing we can do is pretend that people who are concerned about our direction are anything but concerned citizens with legitimate complaints about pro-Islam government policies.
We still have some time. What we do with that time will determine our future safety and security.
Although it’s true that only about 15% of Muslims in the U.S. and Canada are Islamists, that 15% is totally committed to imposing their agenda on the rest of us. As a group, there are enough of them to do a lot of damage even though they are a small minority of our populations. Ignoring that fact will be costly.
In Europe, we are witnessing already the breakdown of culture. Vigilante justice is beginning to take hold. That’s a direct and natural result of governments failing to address the legitimate concerns of their citizens.
In the days ahead, vigilantes in European countries will increase in number and in strength. That’s a serious situation for everyone because vigilantes are just as dangerous and Islamists. What they will do is anyone’s guess.
The same thing will happen in the U.S. and Canada if our governments follow the European model. You can put that in the bank.
For the record, I am not prophesying. I’m explaining the facts.
