Times of Israel—Less than half of East Europeans would accept Jews in their family, Pew finds:
Fewer than three-quarters want them as neighbors, 10% don’t want them as citizens; numbers higher in countries with highest Holocaust death tolls
More than 10 percent of Central and Eastern Europeans do not accept Jews as citizens of their countries, according to a new study.
The study, released Wednesday by the Pew Research Center, surveyed the residents of 18 countries and found that 80% of respondents would accept Jews as fellow citizens. The remainder was not sure or declined to answer.
Many fewer respondents would accept Jews as family and neighbors. Less than half would accept Jews as family and fewer than three-quarters wanted them as neighbors.
The study interviewed 1,500 to 2,500 residents in each of the countries from June 2015 to July 2016.
Jews, however, were more accepted across the region than Muslims and Roma. Only 57% of respondents would accept Roma as citizens, while only 19% would accept them as family. Roughly two-thirds of the region would accept Muslims as citizens, while only 27% would accept them as family.
In some countries, the number of respondents who do not accept Jews as citizens was far higher than the median, notably Armenia, where a third of respondents said Jews should not be citizens.
Several countries with large Jewish populations before the Holocaust also topped the average: Lithuania, at 23%; Romania, 22%; the Czech Republic 19%, and Poland, 18%.

In other words, anti-Semitism is not just a European problem.
Jewish people are like the canary in the coal mine. Increasing levels of anti-Semitism are harbingers of bad things to come.
To understand why that’s important, first you need to understand who Yahweh is, who His adversary is, and what Yahweh’s adversary is trying to accomplish.
- Yahweh is Elohim, the Creator, and the Ultimate Sovereign.
- Satan is Yahweh’s adversary.
- Satan is attempting to prevent Yahweh from fulfilling His promises.
Jewish people and Israel are central to Yahweh’s promises. All of Yahweh’s promises including His promise to redeem and save us were made to Abraham and his descendants through Isaac and Jacob/Israel.
Satan can’t prevent Yahweh from fulfilling His promises, but he can do a lot of damage by trying. The Holocaust is an example of this.
The way we treat Jewish people and Israel are tests of our faith. If we have faith in Yahweh, we will accept His promises and act accordingly.
I’ll be blunt: anti-Semites are not believers no matter what they say, no matter if they are active “churchgoers”, and no matter if they are benevolent otherwise.
Read the Bible. It’s in there. All of this was foretold by Yahweh a long, long time ago.
Ignorance is no excuse. The video below provides information regarding the extent of ignorance about World War II and the Holocaust on college campuses. They know much less about Yahweh and His promises than they do about those horrific events.

Change that Yahweh calls “good” begins in the hearts of believers—people who are recognizable because they are different.
