Khaled Abu Toameh—Palestinians: Erasing Christian History:

Palestinian Christians are up in arms over the destruction of the ruins of an ancient Byzantine church that were recently discovered in Gaza City.

The protest, however, failed to win the attention of the international community, especially United Nations agencies such as UNESCO, whose mission is to secure the world’s cultural and natural heritage.

The ruins of the 1800-year-old church were discovered in Palestine Square, in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, where Hamas is planning to build a shopping mall. The dramatic discovery of the antiquities did not seem to leave an impression on the construction workers, who removed artifacts and continued with their work at the site.

Defying belief, bulldozers were used to destroy some of the church artifacts, drawing sharp criticism from Palestinian Christians, some of whom rushed to accuse both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (PA) of copying ISIS tactics to demolish historic sites.

The world won’t react to this kind of thing because…

Should I say it?

Why not?  This is SnyderTalk.

The world won’t react to this kind of thing because Christians aren’t Muslims.

And there you have it.

By the way, there isn’t a scintilla of difference between ISIS, Hamas, and the PA.

SnyderTalk Comment:

Passover isn’t Easter/Ishtar.

Ishtar is the Assyrian and Babylonian fertility goddess.

Is it just me, or does this seem like a simple thing to explain?

If it’s simple, why do so many Christians have trouble understanding it?

Actually, I’m kidding.  I learned my lesson when I wrote His Name is Yahweh.

That’s simple, too, or so I thought.

1: Burak Bekdil—Turkey’s Circus in Washington

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s increasing Third-Worldish authoritarianism is taking new turns: it is now visible outside Turkey.

At the same time as Erdogan was heading for Washington for a nuclear security summit, the two journalists who he asserted last year “will pay a heavy price” had to stand trial at a second hearing on charges of espionage and terrorism, and with life sentences hanging over their heads. Their “espionage and terrorism” activity concerned a story they ran in May 2015 detailing how Turkish intelligence was transporting weapons to Islamist fighters in Syria.

SnyderTalk Comment:

Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a wicked man.  So is Barack Hussein Obama.

People of Turkey, wake up.

2: Middle East EyeLosing Italy: Sisi pays the price for Regini murder:

Since the body of the Italian researcher Giulio Regeni was found on the outskirts of Cairo in early February, the relations between Egypt and Italy have gradually deteriorated until Rome recalled its ambassador Maurizio Massari from Cairo on Friday.

3: NewsweekAssad: Putin is the Most Popular Politician in Syria:

Putin commands such respect among Syrians he could take any state position in the country, Assad told the group, according to Sergey Gavrilov, a delegation member from the Communist Party.

4: Orange County RegisterParis-Brussels attacks network a ‘supercell’ of extremism:

The number of people linked to the Islamic State network that attacked Paris and Brussels reaches easily into the dozens, with a series of new arrests over the weekend that confirmed the cell’s toxic reach and ability to move around unnoticed in Europe’s criminal underworld.

SnyderTalk Comment:

Anyone who thinks there are only a few “supercells” in Europe is deluded.

Anyone who thinks there are no “supercells” in the U.S. is deluded.

5: RTIsrael launched Syria strikes to prevent Hezbollah from obtaining weapons – Netanyahu:

“We act when we need to act, including here across the border, with dozens of strikes meant to prevent Hezbollah from obtaining game-changing weaponry,” Netanyahu said while on a visit to the occupied Golan Heights on Monday, as quoted by Reuters.

SnyderTalk Comment:

Hezbollah is a threat to the Middle East and the world.

Its operatives have infiltrated most countries including the U.S.

Hezbollah needs to be eradicated.  It will be a message to similar groups.

Not dealing with Hezbollah appropriately encourages the formation of other Islamist groups with global annihilation ambitions.

Isn’t it interesting?

The “religion of peace” is best known for spreading death and destruction wherever the feet of true believers hit the ground.

As the old cliché says, this isn’t rocket science.

6: NPRBoko Haram Increasingly Using Children In ‘Suicide’ Attacks, UNICEF Says:

Nigeria-based militant group Boko Haram is increasingly using children in “suicide” attacks, a U.N. fund said on Tuesday.

Boko Haram used four children in such attacks in 2014 — and 44 in 2015, according to a report from UNICEF. Nearly one out of every 5 suicide attack conducted by Boko Haram used a child, and more than two-thirds of the children were girls.

SnyderTalk Comment:

Boko Haram is another “religion of peace” splinter group.

They refer to themselves as Wilāyat Gharb Ifrīqīyyah.  It means Islamic State West Africa Province or ISWAP.

Boko Haram should receive the same treatment as Hezbollah.

7: Washington PostDenmark, a social welfare utopia, takes a nasty turn on refugees:

Lise Ramslog was out for a barefoot amble on the warm day last September that Europe’s refugee crisis came to her remote village in southern Denmark.

The 70-year-old grandmother had planned a simple stroll. What she found in her quiet, coastal community were hundreds of exhausted asylum seekers who had arrived on the ferry from Germany only to be stranded without access to public transportation. Some had begun to walk along the highway in desperation.

Ramslog decided on the spot that she would help: She ended up giving two young couples, a small child and a newborn baby a 120-mile ride in her cramped sedan to their destination in Sweden. “When we crossed the border, they rejoiced and cried,” she recalled.

In another context, Ramslog might be known as a good Samaritan.

But the Danish government has a different term for her: convicted human smuggler.

SnyderTalk Comment:

This is what society looks like when it’s coming unglued.

8: Washington Post5 charts that show how young Arabs really feel about the Islamic State:

A new poll of Arab men and women aged between 18 and 24 has found that few support the Islamic State, The Washington Post‘s Joby Warrick reports. The poll also shows that perhaps these young Arabs are as dismayed and confused by the group’s rise as the rest of the world.

SnyderTalk Comment:

These findings support my thesis.

Most so-called “Muslims” are MINOs—Muslims in name only.

ISIS types are real Muslims because they take the Quran seriously.

Step 1: People realize that they can’t support what true believers are doing on moral grounds.

Step 2: People realize that true believers are doing what they are doing because that’s what the Quran tells them to do.

Step 3: People conclude that they aren’t Muslims after all.

Change is slow, but it’s happening now.  Philosophical shifts take time because they require a period of adjustment.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
