September 15, 2015 SnyderTalk: Pro-refugee demonstrations across Europe highlight EU divide

1--Intro Covering Israel and ME

“For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My Name will be great among the Gentiles, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My Name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My Name will be great among the Gentiles,” says Yahweh Sabaoth. (Malachi 1: 11)

Al Jazeera America—Pro-refugee demonstrations across Europe highlight EU divide:

Tens of thousands of Europeans hit the streets Saturday to show solidarity with huge numbers of refugees entering the continent, while Hungary’s premier warned leaders were “in a dream world” about the dangers posed by the influx.

In London, one of dozens of events across Europe, tens of thousands demonstrated, brandishing placards reading “Open the Borders,” while in Copenhagen some 30,000 took to the streets.

“I want to support the refugees,” said Deborah Flatley in London, holding a homemade cardboard sign reading: “We admire your bravery. You deserve a safe and happy life. We welcome you here with open arms.”

A boy dressed as Paddington Bear — the marmalade-loving migrant who arrived at London’s Paddington Station from “deepest, darkest Peru” in Michael Bond’s famous books — clutched a sign saying: “Paddington Bear Was A Refugee.”

Several thousand people could be seen marching through central London to Prime Minister David Cameron’s office. Cameron had a belated change of heart on letting in more Syrian refugees as the crisis in Europe escalated, and last week he agreed to take in 20,000 people over five years.

In Berlin, demonstrators waved a Syrian flag with “Refugees Welcome” written on it, while rallies in Stockholm, Helsinki and Lisbon each attracted around 1,000 people.

Danish police estimated that 30,000 people had gathered outside the Danish parliament building in Copenhagen on Saturday, shouting “Refugees are welcome.” Saturday’s peaceful protest came after Denmark said on Friday that it had already accepted its fair share of asylum seekers and would not take part in a proposal by the EU Commission to take a share of another 160,000 refugees.

SnyderTalk Comment: Mass delusion is sweeping the planet.  Europe is a perfect example.

Anti-Semitism is on the rise all over Europe, but they open their arms to potentially millions of Islamists who have vowed to destroy them.

This is not Yahweh’s doing.  He’s allowing it, but He’s not inspiring it.  That difference is huge.

During times like these, I used to tell my leadership students that it’s as though people are saying, “We’re on the road to hell, but we’re having fun.”

Hell is many things, but fun isn’t one of them.

The video below is interesting.  We are entering perilous times.

His Name is Yahweh, the website, is a companion of the book His Name is Yahweh.  Both of them explain the importance of God’s Name.

The website is loaded with factual information that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Yahweh is our Savior and that the Messiah is Yahweh.

I hope you will take a few minutes and explore the website.  I also hope you will share it with your friends and family.

It’s time for believers to tell the world about our God by His Name—Yahweh.

JNS.org: Azerbaijan’s US Envoy Reveals Mixed Feelings on Iran Nuclear Deal—The day after the largest sandstorm in 15 years swept through the State of Israel this week, turning the skies orange and clouding people’s vision, Azerbaijan Ambassador to the U.S. Elin Suleymanov says his eyes are opened wide. On his first visit to the Jewish state through Project Interchange, an institute of the American Jewish Committee, Suleymanov tells JNS.org he has been enlightened about issues ranging from Judea and Samaria’s Jewish communities, to the Palestinians, to religion and rhetoric. The U.S. ambassador from a Muslim-majority country, Suleymanov comes to Israel from a country that is shy of 30 years old and that sits in the Caucasus region on the border of Georgia and Russia to the north, Iran to the south, and Armenia to the southwest and west, with a small part bordering Turkey to the northwest. A handsome man with a deep smile, dimples, and a hearty laugh, he extends his hand and invites this reporter to dinner. Suleymanov opens up about his perspective on faith, extremism, and American internal and foreign policy in both of these arenas.

SnyderTalk Comment: Yahweh is awesome.  In the days ahead, I expect many Muslims to turn to Him in faith.  Actually, it’s happening now.  I am still concerned about Christians who don’t take Yahweh seriously.

Yahweh is a loving Father, but He’s also the Judge.  He will send no one to hell.  People make the decision to go there themselves.

I really like the song in the video below and the story behind it.  All of us who are recipients of Yahweh’s grace and mercy have a lot to be thankful for.  Let’s not take our salvation for granted.

Yahweh created us for a purpose.  We need to know what it is and do it.

Lewis Page: ABSENCE of GLOBAL WARMING ‘may be set to continue’—It’s now widely admitted that global warming, as measured by temperatures around the world, stopped at the turn of the century. Many observers have been expecting it to resume, perhaps starting this year – but a new report from the UK Met Office says that in fact the so-called “hiatus” may carry on for some time yet. The Met Office climatologists say that the long-awaited El Nino is finally brewing in the Pacific, which ought to heat the world up noticeably. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation, another mechanism active in the Pacific, also looks set to warm things up. Unfortunately for those desperate to see a return to a warming world (for instance at the Met Office’s Hadley Centre for Climate Science and Services, dependent on global warming for its raison d’être) there’s a third powerful mechanism in play: the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation, or AMO, which varies up and down on long timescales.

SnyderTalk Comment: This report is correct.  The globe stopped warming and started cooling about 20 years ago.  That’s what the data shows, and that’s why I wrote a novel titled Stand!

Global warming alarmists are trumpeting their bogus claims for two reasons: wealth and power.  They are accumulating lots of both at our expense, and they are doing it while the globe is cooling.  It just goes to show how dangerous ignorance is.

P.T. Barnum was almost right.  He said, “There’s a sucker born every second.”  Actually, he said “every minute”, but he was mistaken.

Uzay Bulut: Muslim Immigration and How to Handle It— The heartbreaking photos of Muslim refugees trying to reach Europe have intensified a controversial and urgent issue: The issue of Muslim immigration and how the world should handle it. “There are 20 million refugees waiting at the doorstep of Europe,” said Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations. Many claim that Europe, facing the crisis produced by the huge influx of Muslim migrants and refugees fleeing mainly Syria and Iraq, should open its doors. But given the realities in Europe and the Muslim world, this suggestion may well be harmful to both the West and to the Muslim world. One of the most common arguments is that Europe is not doing enough for the Muslim refugees and is actually responsible for the turmoil in Syria as well as the rest of the Muslim world.

SnyderTalk Comment: Welcoming strangers is one thing.  Welcoming people who plan to destroy you is another.  The Muslim refugees include lots of both.  Failing to recognize that fact is foolish and dangerous.

The Telegraph—UK: Islamic State jihadis ‘may be posing as Syrian refugees’—Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant could be sending jihadis out of Syria posing as refugees, a Lebanese government minister has warned. Education minister Elias Bou Saab suggested that as many as 2 per cent – one in 50 – of the refugees could be “radicals”, which he said would be “more than enough” to cause problems. Mr Saab spoke to journalists travelling with David Cameron on a visit to Lebanon and Jordan, during which the Prime Minister highlighted Britain’s contribution of more than £1 billion to support refugee camps for displaced Syrians to stay in the region.

SnyderTalk Comment: “May be”?  Somebody is delusional.  There is no “may be” to it.

Jihadists are posing as refugees in order to infiltrate Europe and America to kill, steal, and destroy.  Their goal is to bring down Western society and impose Sharia law.

This isn’t rocket science.  Any imbecile should know it, because they talk openly about it.

This is my advice: believe what they tell us.  I wish that I could say the same thing about Barack Obama.

Burak Bekdil: Turkey’s “Free” Press— In 2001, a group of Turkish Islamists broke off with their more hardline comrades and launched a “pro-reform, pro-Western, pro-European Union” (yet Islamist) party –the Justice and Development (AKP), promising to advocate universal values on human rights and democracy. In 2002, they rose to power and have since been ruling Turkey – despite a road accident they are now trying to fix after they lost their parliamentary majority in June 7 elections for the first time since 2002. New early elections are scheduled for Nov. 1. The AKP’s election manifesto in 2002 firmly stated that: “Our party views law not as a means to frighten or punish but as a means to provide justice.” Impressive. The AKP promised “a state of law and a justice system in compliance with the universal norms.” What else? From the election manifesto: “State officials will be prevented from neglecting their responsibilities [by] referring to justice the work they ought to be doing.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Turkey has been in a downward spiral since the AKP took power.  Bottom line: Erdogan is an Islamist liar and crook.

Ishaan Tharoor: 20 questions about the world a future U.S. president should get right—Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner, complained when conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt asked him a “gotcha” question earlier this month about Qasem Soleimani, an Iranian general who heads the Islamic Republic’s elite, shadowy Quds Force. Trump proceeded to talk about Kurds, much to the media’s general amusement. So here’s a chance for a do-over. WorldViews presents this world knowledge challenge to Trump and anyone else who wants to take charge of the planet’s sole superpower. The rest of you can play along, too. 1: So, let’s get this out of the way. Who here is Qassem Soleimani?

SnyderTalk Comment: As I said, we face perilous times.  We need a serious president who is as solid as a rock.

I’m not picking on Donald Trump, but he’s not the guy. Trump takes narcissism to heights unseen in recent times until Barack Obama.

I would love to see a sit-down between Trump and Obama, televised of course. Neither one of them can resist the impulse to show off for crowds.

I’ll say this for Trump, though. I’ll bet he knows there are only 50 states.

Joe Herring: The Caliphate Growing at the Feet of Obama— The international left wasted no time in using the below tragic image as fodder for the multiculturalism/open borders war, suggesting that somehow the West’s reluctance to provide safe haven for potentially every human being on the planet is responsible for the death of this 3-year-old boy and the other displaced people with whom he was traveling. The reason these people left their homes is not in dispute.  They were fleeing ISIS and their trademark hellish barbarism.  Why is there an ISIS?  Because our president is determined to create an Islamic counterbalance to perceived Western hegemony. Europe and America are too strong, and they achieved their success on the backs of the oppressed peoples of the world, most notably the peaceful Islamic peoples of the Middle East.  So goes the narrative.

Lisa Twaronite: Asian shares struggle, BOJ [Bank of Japan] holds steady—Asian shares struggled on Tuesday as caution reigned ahead of this week’s U.S. Federal Reserve decision on interest rates, while the yen edged higher after the Bank of Japan refrained from any new policy steps.

SnyderTalk Comment: We’re looking at the possibility that the Fed may raise the Fed Funds Rate by .25%.  Currently the Fed Funds Rate is hovering just above zero.

What is the Fed Funds Rate?: “Commonly known as the Fed Funds Rate, the Federal Funds Rate is a short-term rate objective or Target Rate of the Federal Reserve Board.  The actual Fed Funds Rate is the interest rate at which depository institutions lend balances at the Federal Reserve to other depository institutions overnight.  The real rate changes daily but is usually close to the target rate desired by the Federal Reserve.  Adjustments to the Federal Funds Target Rate are made by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) usually at regularly scheduled meetings; but can also be adjusted at any time with an emergency meeting.”

The graph below shows the Fed Funds Rate for the past 10 years.  All the fuss is about essentially nothing.

These issues are driving global financial markets right now:

  1. The Chinese economy is experiencing slower than expected growth.  That’s a serious problem for the global economy.  Commodity prices have fallen sharply already because of the lack of Chinese demand.  China isn’t like the U.S. where reasonably accurate economic data is reported regularly.  We don’t really know how anemic the Chinese economy is.  It could be much worse than we imagine.
  2. Emerging markets that produce commodities have taken a big hit already.  See “Why emerging market currencies are collapsing”.  The emerging markets slowdown is a serious problem for the global economy.
  3. Oil and gas producers are highly leveraged, and the price of oil per barrel is forecast by Goldman Sachs to fall to $20.  That’s below breakeven for many oil and gas producers, and it threatens their solvency.  Mass defaults by oil and gas firms would threaten major lenders.  That’s a serious problem for the global economy.

The global economy is not in good shape, and the U.S. economy is not strong enough to withstand a global contagion.  People are afraid that a .25% increase in the Fed Funds Rate will send the world into another recession.  If the world does go into recession, the Fed is in no position to lower interest rates to stimulate the economy.  With rates near zero, their hands are tied.  That’s why the Fed needs to increase the Fed Funds Rate.

If people want to worry, they should worry about oil and gas prices.  Those are the real problems for the global economy—not the Fed Funds Rate.

Bob Unruh: Students Forced to Recite “Allah is the only god”—Amid a new report of Islamic indoctrination in public schools, the American Center for Law and Justice is fighting back with a petition drive that already has garnered 120,000 signatures. Earlier this year, public-school students in Madison, Wisconsin, were given an assignment to “pretend you are Muslim,” while students in Florida were instructed to “recite the Five Pillars of Islam as a prayer, make Islamic prayer rugs and perform other Muslim rituals,” ACLJ said Monday. Now, parents of public-school students in Tennessee are protesting assignments that include writing a declaration that Allah is supreme and textbooks that recount Islamic doctrines as facts instead of beliefs.

SnyderTalk Comment: Most of our educators are Democrats.  Is there a connection between this nonsense and political party affiliation?  Yes.

SnyderTalk Comment: There once was a place called the United States of America where good political sense existed.  It wasn’t perfect.  No government is, but when all was said and done, good sense prevailed most of the time.

Not anymore.

Nancy Pelosi explained today’s logic perfectly: “You’ll know what’s in the bill when you see it.”  The Senate still doesn’t know what’s in the Iran deal, and those who do know won’t tell.

I’m sick and tired of politicians.  I don’t like Donald Trump, but he’s not the only non-politician in the race.

If anyone ever tells you that Ben Carson, for example, doesn’t have any political experience, tell him or her that Barack Obama had no experience doing anything meaningful and no substantive record of any kind.  He has done everything that’s humanly possible to prevent any of his or his wife’s records from getting out.  Something as simple and straightforward as his birth certificate is in question.  Electing him was a tragic mistake that we will regret for decades, if we have that long.

What happens when a nation turns its back on Yahweh?  That’s not a rhetorical question.  We know the answer.  It ceases to exist.

I have news for Israel and Jew haters.  There will be an Israel forever, and it will be the homeland of the Children of Israel.  I have serious doubts about the future of the United States.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 22

16 “If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged, and lies with her, he must pay a dowry for her to be his wife. 17 If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equal to the dowry for virgins.”

18 “You shall not allow a sorceress to live.”

19 “Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death.”

20 “He who sacrifices to any god, other than to Yahweh alone, shall be utterly destroyed.”

21 “You shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. 22 You shall not afflict any widow or orphan. 23 If you afflict him at all, and if he does cry out to Me, I will surely hear his cry; 24 and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
