Chris Coffey—71 Percent of Americans Think Iran Talks Won’t Prevent Nuclear Weapons:

A new poll reveals that the vast majority of Americans doubt that President Obama’s negotiations will thwart Iran’s nuclear program.

According to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News Poll, 71 percent think that negotiations with Tehran will not prevent the Islamic Republic from developing nuclear weapons. A small minority (24 percent) think that White House diplomacy will prevent Iran from developing such weapons, while 5 percent were not sure.

SnyderTalk Comment: 71% of Americans are using their noggins.  The rest?  The words “delusional” and “wacko” come to mind.

See:

The American public is beginning to get the picture.  Left-leaning politicians in Washington are not.

I don’t believe the political left will ever accept the Middle Eastern reality.  Their commitment to their theories, flawed as they are, won’t allow them to accept things that don’t fit with their preconceived notions.  The best way to deal with them is to vote them out of office.

If you call yourself a Democrat, that may offend you.  If you believe Yahweh, you should put Him first.  If you put Yahweh first, you won’t be offended by anything I have said.  Political party affiliation should be farther down on your list of commitments.

Daniel Pipes: Why politicians pretend Islam has no role in violence—Prominent non-Muslim political figures have embarrassed themselves by denying the self-evident ‎connection of Islam to the Islamic State and to Islamist violence in Paris and Copenhagen, ‎even claiming these are contrary to Islam. What do they hope to achieve through these ‎falsehoods and what is their significance?‎ First, a sampling of the double talk:‎ President Barack Obama tells the world that Islamic State “is not Islamic,” because its “actions represent ‎no faith, least of all the Muslim faith.” He holds “we are not at war with Islam [but] with people ‎who have perverted Islam.”‎ Secretary of State John Kerry echoes him: The Islamic State group consists of “cold-blooded killers masquerading as ‎a religious movement” who promote a “hateful ideology [that] has nothing do with Islam.” His ‎spokesperson, Jen Psaki, goes further: The terrorists “are enemies of Islam.”‎ Jeh Johnson, the U.S. homeland security secretary, assents: “ISIL is [not] Islamic.” My ‎favorite: Howard Dean, the former Democratic governor of Vermont, says of the Charlie Hebdo ‎attackers, “They’re about as Muslim as I am.”‎

SnyderTalk Comment: They may be wackos, but they are Democrats and high-ranking Democrats at that.

The Week: Benjamin Netanyahu’s favorable rating plummets among Democrats after Iran speech—Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s image plunged among Democrats following his controversial speech to Congress last week about the threat of a nuclear Iran, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday. Before the speech, 32 percent of Democrats had a favorable impression of Netanyahu, the same percentage who viewed him unfavorably. After the speech, though, only 17 percent of Democrats viewed him favorably, while 46 percent said the opposite.

SnyderTalk Comment: Netanyahu’s favorability rating among Democrats plummeted after his speech to Congress.  That should tell us something.

In his speech, Netanyahu stuck to the facts, and the facts tell the whole story without political spin.

Actually, Democrats have two problems with Netanyahu: 1) he dared to speak to Congress without permission from their leader and 2) the facts destroy their positions on Iran and the Middle East.

This is my advice to Democrats: when the facts don’t support your positions, change your positions.

I have one more piece of advice for Democrats: if you have a brain, use it.

Yoni Hersch and Israel Hayom Staff: Dagan ‘playing politics with security,’ says former CIA official—The mudslinging nature of Israeli election season has also caught the attention of the press in the United States, and on Monday conservative online news site National Review published an article challenging claims by former Mossad chief Meir Dagan against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Iran’s nuclear program. The article’s author, Fred Fleitz, a former CIA analyst who worked with the House Intelligence Committee, wrote that Dagan’s “criticism of Netanyahu’s speech is a case of a former government official politicizing national security and is not reflective of the views of Israeli intelligence.” Since retiring from the Mossad, Dagan has been a vociferous critic of Netanyahu’s policies, claiming that an Israeli military strike was “the last thing we need” and would not set Iran’s nuclear program back “for very long.”

Earl Cox: Israel has America’s back while we are stabbing theirs— Election fever is gripping the Israeli public these days with the big election for control of the national government coming up on March 17th. A vast number of American Christians support Israel but we know we are not Israeli citizens or voters so we do not exercise support for any individual candidate or political party in the Israeli elections. However, as Christians, we do want to support the Biblical mandates concerning Israel regardless of the individual or party that supports them. This means we believe the Biblical prophets who declared that the God of Israel made a covenant with Israel’s fathers that the land of Israel would encompass all from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. This is the territory God Himself designated and for which He established the boundaries as a homeland for the Jewish people for “an everlasting possession.” In other words, the boundaries of the land God promised to Abraham and his descendants are spelled out in the Books of Genesis, Exodus, Chronicles and others. The Lord made a covenant with Abram to give to him and to his descendants all the land from the river of Egypt (some say this refers to the Nile) to the great river Euphrates. On the map, these boundaries God established would roughly include the land of modern-day Israel (including Gaza and the West Bank), Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Yemen, most of Turkey and more to include all the land east of the Nile river.

Ilene Prusher: Is This the Man Who Could Beat Netanyahu and Become Israel’s Next PM?— Isaac Herzog has maintained a lead in opinion polls but winning the election is not enough to become prime minister. When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chose to dissolve his government last November and call for new elections he didn’t expect a formidable challenge from the Labor party leader Isaac Herzog. Herzog is the closest thing Israel has to a patrician politician. His father, Chaim Herzog, was an Israeli army general and the sixth president of Israel and his grandfather was the first chief rabbi of Ireland. And while the 54-year-old Isaac Herzog has served four times as a government minister since 2004, few have seen him as having the charisma some believe is necessary to be Israel’s prime minister. But opinion polls show Herzog, who heads an electoral list which combines the Labor and Hatnua parties, with a clear lead. One of the latest polls, by Israel’s Channel 2, showed Herzog’s Zionist Union with 25 Knesset seats in parliament in comparison to 21 for Netanyahu and his Likud party.

Tony Karon: Saudi Throne’s shift in focus no mere game— A new season of Game of Thrones is well underway in the Middle East, although the real-world version carries none of the fanfare surrounding the eponymous HBO show. Still, its consequences could be profoundly significant across the region. The death of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in January has signaled an understated reordering of the Kingdom’s strategic priorities as his successor, King Salman, prioritizes creating a Sunni Muslim united front against Shia Iran and its allies. To be effective, that would require an easing of Riyadh’s recent campaign to crush the Muslim Brotherhood and curb the influence of its regional allies. Saudi concerns include Iran’s leading role in the fight against the Islamic State movement (commonly called ISIS or ISIL) in Iraq, Tehran’s Yemeni allies overthrowing the government in Sana’a, and by the emerging diplomatic rapprochement between the U.S. and Iran.

SnyderTalk Comment: It appears that the only people who aren’t worried about Iran are President Obama and the “faithful” Democrats who recite his talking points after he makes pronouncements.

I hate using the world “faithful” in this context, but it applies.  They are faithful to Obama and everything he stands for regardless of right and wrong.  Morals don’t enter into their discussion.

Boaz Bismuth: Obama’s twilight zone—Tuesday’s execution video of “Mossad agent” Mohamed Said Ismail Musalam, a young Israeli Arab from east Jerusalem, pulled us back to the horrific reality of today’s Middle East, otherwise known as the Islamic State group. In the video, a French-speaking Islamic State operative (a reminder of his potential to perpetrate additional terrorist attacks, like those in Paris in January, when he returns home) gave us the following message: “O Jews, indeed Allah has gifted us with killing your followers in your own stronghold in France,” and added that Islamic State “will liberate Jerusalem from you filth, by Allah’s permission.” Indeed, as we know, Islamic State has its priorities: First it wants to conquer the Arab realm and defeat the Shiites, but further down the road, of course, there is war against the Jews — as usual. We, as history always shows, are desired customers.

Perry Chiaramonte: ‘Blurred line’: Anti-Israel campus climate leading to bigotry, warn critics—The question stung Rachel Beyda, who, like her inquisitors, was hoping to make her campus – and world – a better place. “Given that you are a Jewish student and very active in the Jewish community,” one member of the Undergraduate Students Association Council said to Beyda as she stood before the board, “how do you see yourself being able to maintain an unbiased view?” Over the next 40 minutes, a humiliated Beyda stood before the board that would eventually confirm her and defended her faith and fairness in an ugly confrontation that ended when a faculty adviser intervened. Alarmed critics say the incident illustrates how increasingly pro-Palestinian college student governments across the country routinely go beyond legitimate criticism of Israel and into the realm of unvarnished bigotry.

Victoria Bekiempis: New York County Doesn’t Want Hasidic Jews to Vote: Lawsuit— A New York County wants to prevent Hasidic voters from casting ballots in an upcoming election because of their religion, a new federal lawsuit charges. The Sullivan County Board of Elections, which oversees voting in the Village of Bloomingburg, sent notices to 184 of 285 registered voters January 16 stating that it “intended to cancel their voter registration and to deprive them of the right to vote”–and more than 160 of those 184 voters are Hasidim, alleges the lawsuit filed Monday in U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York. Bloomingburg, a Catskills hamlet with a population of 420, has seen a large influx of Hasidim in recent years. “All of them had previously registered to vote in Bloomingburg, which is in Sullivan County,” the complaint continues, but the notice demanded those voters give new evidence to prove “why your registration should not be cancelled.”

Clifford D. May: The ayatollah – dying with a smile— The Lord works in mysterious ways. That sentence does not appear in the Koran. Nor, actually, is it found in the Bible. But in recent days it has probably occurred to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader. On the one hand, he is reportedly suffering from cancer, an advanced stage. On the other hand, he is tantalizing[ly] close to winning battles he has been fighting for more than a quarter-century, since he assumed the mantle of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, charismatic leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Most significant: His negotiators appear to be on the brink of concluding a deal with President Obama, who will suspend economic sanctions without congressional input (although the most onerous sanctions can be terminated only by Congress) and, in effect, guarantee Iran the right to possess nuclear weapons in the not-too-distant future.

Soeren Kern: Spain: “The Mediterranean Corridor of Jihadism”— The arrests have, once again, cast a spotlight on the problem of radical Islam in Catalonia, which has the largest Muslim population in Spain. The region is home to an estimated 465,000 Muslims, who account for more than 6% of the total Catalan population of 7.5 million. At least 10% of them are estimated to be “radicals” who are hardcore believers in the “doctrine of jihadism.” — Jofre Montoto, Catalan terrorism analyst. In February, the lower house of the Spanish Congress approved far-reaching changes to the country’s penal code, as a way to combat Islamic extremism and support for the Islamic State. Under the new law, anyone convicted of carrying out a terrorist attack will be subject to a life sentence (35 years) without the possibility of parole. The law also calls for 20-year sentences for anyone convicted of supplying weapons to terrorists, or ten-year sentences for funding terror networks.

Shas leader: We won’t join a Herzog-led government

Hillary Clintons Media Demons Return To Haunt Her—Loudly

SnyderTalk Comment:  Hillary’s news conference on Tuesday proved yet again that she is a very good liar, but she’s not in the same league as Bill.  He’s still the best liar that I’ve ever seen.  As good a liar as Obama is, he is no match for Bill, either.

Almost everybody knows they’re lying.  Their political supporters and “friends” know it as well as anyone.  You have to be clueless not to know it.  It’s so bad that their “friends” talk about how magnificently they wiggled out of the latest scandal as though they had accomplished a great feat and they do it on television.  It’s no secret—closely guarded or otherwise.

I put quotation marks around the word “friends” because all three of them would throw their “friends” under the bus in a heartbeat if they got in their way, and they would do it with smiles on their faces.

Where I come from, we call that sorry, as in sorry excuse for a human being.

Do you see how corrupt we have become as a nation?  Knowing what we know and supporting them anyway makes us complicit in their sins.

Think about all the good people that we have to pass over before we get to the dregs that we elect to lead us.  Some of them are good, but so many of them aren’t that I am forced to conclude that our body politic is soul sick.

You could argue that it’s always been like this, and I’m just beginning to see the light.  If you made that case, you would be wrong.

See:

Hillary desperately wants to be president and she is shameless.  She will say anything that she thinks will help her politically.  The same is true for Bill and Barack.

Will Hillary’s email controversy change that?  No.  It might even cause her to double down on her quest for the Oval Office.

Will it change her supporters’ attitudes toward her?  Probably not.

So, does it matter?  The answer is “yes”.

We are on a slippery slope to moral degradation.  Each time we wink at another flagrant violation of laws and morals, we make it easier to accept the next step on the road to total depravity.  Hillary, Bill, and Barack know that, and they use it to their advantage.

Will the American people ever understand the role they play in allowing it to happen?  I hope so, but I’m not betting on it.  In fact, I’m betting against it.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 2: 15-22

15 When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he tried to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the presence of Pharaoh and settled in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well. 16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters; and they came to draw water and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. 17 Then the shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and helped them and watered their flock. 18 When they came to Reuel their father, he said, “Why have you come back so soon today?” 19 So they said, “An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds, and what is more, he even drew the water for us and watered the flock.” 20 He said to his daughters, “Where is he then? Why is it that you have left the man behind? Invite him to have something to eat.” 21 Moses was willing to dwell with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses. 22 Then she gave birth to a son, and he named him Gershom, for he said, “I have been a sojourner in a foreign land.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
