Khaled Abu Toameh—Arabs: Why is Obama Siding with Supporters of Terrorism?:

Many Arabs and Muslims see the meeting between Obama and Qatar’s al-Thani as a gift to Qatar for its continued support of Islamic radical groups across the Middle East, including Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

On the eve of Obama’s meeting, Egyptian sources revealed that Qatar was providing weapons and ammunition to members of the Islamic State in Libya. The sources said that 35 Qatari aircraft were involved in transferring munitions.

Arab political analysts are also concerned about Obama’s ongoing attempts to appease Iran, which continues to expand its presence in Arab countries such as Yemen, Iraq and Lebanon — as well as in Syria, where it is deeply involved in backing Hezbollah and operating along the border with Israel. A Reuters report revealed that Iran also has hundreds of advisors in Iraq.

Qatar is also one of the biggest funders of Hamas, whose leader, Khaled Mashaal, is based in Qatar’s capital, Doha. During the past few years, Qatar has provided Hamas with hundreds of millions of dollars — money used to purchase and develop weapons to attack Israel.

By the time Obama leaves the White House, Iran will most likely be in control of more Arab countries, and Qatari-backed terror groups will be much stronger.

SnyderTalk Comment: That’s a good question.  Many people have said that Obama is not a patriot and that he rejects what the United States stands for.  Rudy Giuliani took a lot of heat a few days ago for saying it, but he wasn’t the first and he won’t be the last.

Thomas Sowell, a respected and articulate American, responded to Obama’s apologists by saying in essence “show me”.  See “Thomas Sowell: Where is the evidence that Barack Obama loves America?

With each passing day, Obama’s fiercest critics are looking more prescient.  It seems as though the worst that could happen under an Obama presidency is taking place.  That may be stretching it a bit, but not too much.

I have a few more questions: why are the American people and their elected leaders in the House and Senate allowing Obama to support terrorists?

Don’t we have mountains of hard evidence gathered over decades of time proving that supporting terrorists doesn’t work?  In fact, doesn’t it always backfire?

Why are we throwing our friends under the bus while we play footsy with our enemies?  It’s one thing to try and improve relations with belligerent countries, but it’s quite another thing to betray our friends in the process.

See “Congress uninformed on Iran deal while Israel already ‘knows a lot,’ official says” and “Egypt’s Sisi meets new Saudi King to discuss Middle East crises”.

Now see “Former Israeli security commanders: Netanyahu speech will bring Iran closer to the bomb”.   That’s an attention grabbing headline, but it fails to mention that the group of former Israeli security commanders was created a few months ago to pressure Netanyahu to do more to achieve “peace” with Palestinians.  Who might have inspired them to form a group?

The one-sided Oslo Peace Accords have brought about more terror in Israel than anyone would have thought possible when the documents were signed more than two decades ago.  Israel has given in on virtually every Palestinian demand to demonstrably negative effects.  The release of murderers from prison who later committed more murders is just one example.  There are many others.

The former security commanders are blind to reality.  They aren’t the only ones in Israel who can’t accept what has taken place.  The political left in Israel is loaded with people like them, and their goal is to oust Netanyahu.  That explains the timing of their announcement.

Now see “US Works to Ease Tensions With Israel Over Netanyahu Speech”.  Taken together with the announcement by the former security commanders, it looks as though Obama is trying to soften his image in Israel, plus it looks like he’s coordinating with the former security commanders to paint Netanyahu as the bad guy and to influence the outcome of the Israeli election later this month.

This is politics at its dirtiest.  It’s the only game that Obama knows how to play.  If you haven’t been there before, it may sound outlandish, but it’s probably right on the money.  The fact that Israeli security and lives are at stake is of little or no consequence to Obama and his companions.  It’s about winning an election.

Serious times demand serious people who can see through the fog.  This is one of those times.

Shiryn Ghermezian: Leading Black Activist, Ministers Say ‘Congressional Black Caucus Should be Absolutely Ashamed’ for Boycott of Netanyahu Speech—A prominent leader of the black Christian community on Thursday, along with leading black ministers, lashed out at the Congressional Black Caucus for its boycott of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming address to Congress on March 3. “The Congressional Black Caucus should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and these black ministers are standing to oppose them,” said Star Parker, founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, a public policy think-tank. ”We want the Israeli Prime Minister to know that he is welcomed here by the black Christian community.” “Israel has had to fight for survival every single day since its founding and it is a sign of ungratefulness that the Congressional Black Caucus is not supporting Prime Minister Netanyahu as the Jewish community stood by us throughout the Civil Rights Movement,” she added. “They financed Dr. Martin Luther King. They helped found the NAACP. Two Jewish youth even died in Mississippi trying to help the black community.”

Jayne O’Donnell: Forget about the speech, focus on Iran, AIPAC says—Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before Congress on Tuesday has spawned a bitter debate on two continents, but there was no apparent dissent at the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Sunday. Whether House Speaker John Boehner should have invited Netanyahu to come right before his tough re-election— with no input from the Obama administration — is an unwelcome distraction from weightier issues, several attendees said. “People need to be able to separate issues of protocol,” said Chicago investment banker Albert Grace Jr. “I don’t think support for Israel is wavering.” The mission of the annual conference was clearly to unite the 16,000 attendees — up 2,000 from last year — to rally around a tougher nuclear deal with Iran. Netanyahu will speak here Monday before his Tuesday speech in the Capitol, and organizers are sending the crowd to amplify his message to Congress during lobbying visits Wednesday.

Bassam Tawil: EU, Qatar and Turkey: Who Could Be Whipping Up Terrorists?— Al-Jazeera — in Arabic — encourages terrorist attacks in Egypt and the Sinai Peninsula by the Muslim Brotherhood, and preaches the destruction of Israel, non-stop. Recently Al-Jazeera has been broadcasting a “documentary” series glorifying Hamas and the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, its military-terrorist wing. The entire series is devoted to idealizing Islamist terrorism and encouraging mass-casualty terrorist attacks against Jews, in the name of radical Islamist ideology. One of the stars is the Palestinian arch-terrorist, Abd al-Karim al-Hanini, who was released from prison in Israel and found safe haven in Qatar. No one has even tried to prevent Qatar’s participation in a global anti-terrorism forum.

Matt Spetalnick and Dan Williams: US-Israel ties fraying over Netanyahu speech, Iran talks— As relations between President Barack Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu hit a new low over the Israeli prime minister’s planned speech to Congress and a looming deadline for a nuclear deal with Iran, there are growing signs it could damage the broader U.S.-Israeli alliance. Already there has been some fraying of the usually strong relationship amid the frosty personal ties between the two leaders and a deepening divide over the Iran talks, which Israel fears will allow its arch foe to develop an atom bomb. U.S. officials are fuming over what they see as an affront by Netanyahu over Obama’s Iran diplomacy ahead of an end-of-March deadline for a framework nuclear agreement. Israeli officials and hard-line U.S. supporters are just as adamant in defending Netanyahu’s right to take center-stage in Washington on Tuesday to sound the alarm over the possible deal….   The rift is considered potentially far-reaching because it marks a dramatic departure from Israel’s long tradition of carefully navigating between Republicans and Democrats.

SnyderTalk Comment: Most journalists covering the spat between Israel and the U.S. can’t see beyond political ties between the two countries.  They are missing the bigger picture.

Israel isn’t in danger.  The U.S. is.

Israel is beginning to exercise good judgment by refusing to go any further down the road to destruction—a.k.a. the two-state solution.  In response, the U.S. under Barack Obama’s leadership is determined to strengthen Iran—a nation that has vowed to “wipe Israel off the map”.

Which of the two sides do you believe Yahweh supports?  The answer is obvious.  Yahweh will never abrogate His promises and He will stand with Israel if they hold fast to Him and His word.

That’s why the U.S. is in danger.  Think of it as a Judgment Day of sorts.  It’s rapidly approaching.  It’s the day when we as a nation declare whose side we are really on.

Under Obama, we have set a course that is diametrically opposed to Yahweh, and there are consequences.

Israel will be vindicated if her leaders demonstrate faith in Yahweh.  I have a hunch that Yahweh is yearning to display His power for the whole world to see.  Then they will know that there is an Elohim in Israel, and His Name is Yahweh.

This spat is as far-reaching as the 2016 presidential election.  Under new, better leadership in the U.S., political reality can change on a dime if the American people do what is right.

Robin Beres: Jarrett hurts her boss—In the months following the 2014 elections, the left has been searching for someone or something to blame for the disastrous losses they endured. Lately, both the media and the Democrats have begun to look toward one of President Obama’s best friends and his senior aide, Valerie Jarrett, as the source of the problem. Just three days after the election, a scathing article titled “Fire Valerie Jarrett” by Carol Felsenthal appeared in Politico magazine. In it, Felsenthal claims that throughout Obama’s two terms, Jarrett has done far more obstructing than facilitating in her role as senior adviser to the president of the United States for public engagement and intergovernmental affairs.

SnyderTalk Comment: The root of Obama’s fascination with Iran can be located in the White House.  Her name is Valerie Jarrett.  She was born in Iran, and she is the Obama administrations equivalent of Richard Nixon’s H.R. Haldeman.  Vicious and mean are two pejoratives that have been used to describe her.  Are those descriptors accurate?  I think so.  I’ll bet Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu would say the same thing in a private, off-the-record discussion, but I’m just guessing.  This much we do know: Valerie Jarrett exercises enormous power over U.S. policy, and she is accountable to no one except Barack Obama.

Burak Bekdil: Turkey’s Illusions Hit Realities— Turkey’s dramatic miscalculation over Syria is pushing it into weird acts. The latest was the forced relocation of a pre-Ottoman Turkish commander’s tomb from its spot in Syria to another spot in Syria, this time a stone’s throw away from the Turkish border. Relocating the tomb seems to have been prompted by the fear of an attack from radical Islamists — who, ironically, Turkey wanted discreetly to support. Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who in 2001 authored the 600-page book, “Strategic Depth,” hoped at the start of the Arab Spring, when he served as Foreign Minister, that a belt of (Sunni) Muslim Brotherhood-ruled regimes would proliferate in Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon and Libya, and be subservient to an emerging Turkish empire. To start with Syria, therefore, theNusayri strongman of the country, President Bashar al-Assad, had to go. In August 2012, Davutoglu predicted that Assad’s days in power were numbered “to a few weeks.”

Reuters: For Israel’s Far Right, a Palestinian State Is ‘Suicide’—Young and ambitious, with a ready smile and a quick wit, Israeli far right leader Naftali Bennett is on a mission to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state. If, as widely expected, he takes on defense or another key portfolio after next month’s election, that mission will take a big step closer to fulfillment, something his critics say could stir conflict and deepen Israel’s international isolation. Forty-two-year-old Bennett, who has expanded the appeal of his pro-settler Jewish Home party to younger, more secular Israelis, is undeterred, saying the alternative would be worse — the end of Israel and endless war. “Even if the world pressures us, we will not willingly commit suicide,” the former tech entrepreneur and army commando told Reuters on the campaign trail.

SnyderTalk Comment: “Far right”?  It’s interesting that most journalists and politicians can see only the political dimension.  They almost never comment on the moral issues in this debate.

“Far right” is a political designation.  It’s used in this instance as a slur.  But moral issues come into play, and giving away land that Yahweh promised to the descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob/Israel or planning to do it are moral issues.  Keep that in mind as you read reports on the so-called “two-state solution”.

Is the two-state solution suicide?  From a political perspective, I think the answer is yes.  Israel cannot survive or prosper with enemies who are committed to her annihilation in her midst.

Is the two-state solution immoral?  There is no doubt about it.  From Yahweh’s perspective, the answer is yes.  His promises cannot be abrogated.

Radio Free Europe: Report Warns Iraq Minorities Being Wiped Out— Human Rights organizations warn that the Islamic State (IS) extremist group has targeted minority communities in Iraq in a “systematic strategy to remove them permanently” from large parts of the country. In a report launched on February 27, four nongovernmental organizations detailed summary executions, forced conversions, rape, and other abuses suffered by minorities. It says such acts are tantamount to war crimes, and in some cases, genocide. Of more than 2 million people displaced since January 2014, the report says, a “disproportionate number” are from minority ethnic and religious groups, including Christian Assyrians, Kaka’i, Shabak, Turkmen, and Yazidis, fleeing violence and persecution by IS fighters.

Andrew Gilligan: Cage: the extremists peddling lies to British Muslims to turn them into supporters of terror—As Asim Qureshi, of the campaign group Cage, took to the airwaves to explain how Mohammed Emwazi, “Jihadi John”, was the real victim of recent events in Syria, you could almost hear the nation’s collective intake of breath. Being turned back on his travels and questioned by the security services had, it seemed, left Emwazi with no alternative but to join Islamic State and behead seven innocent people. Further oppression by the UK’s apparatus of government terror included giving him a university education, his family a council flat and not actually arresting or detaining him for anything. In most of Britain, these messages from Cage’s parallel universe were received with shock and contempt. But the unfortunate truth is that they have significant traction with parts of its target audience.

SnyderTalk Comment: I fear for Mohammed Emwazi’s family.  If they aren’t targets now, they almost certainly will be.  That kind of brutality and the publicity that Emwazi cherished have earned him a special place in the hearts of decent people.  Some of them will want to teach him a lesson.  What better lesson can there be than to show him how it feels to have your loved ones butchered?

The Emwazi clan should head for the hills and stay there.  If they have Islamist leanings, I suspect that they will want to stay put so they can show the world how courageous they are.  If they choose that course, their blood is on their on hands.

Anthony Faiola and Karla Adam: In Britain, a debate over Jihadi John’s path to radicalization—After the unmasking of Islamic State executioner Jihadi John as a West London computer programmer named Mohammed Emwazi, Asim Qureshi looked into the television cameras here and made an explosive assertion: Britain, he suggested, had created its own monster. A senior member of a rights group that had sought to advise Emwazi before his transformation into a now-infamous killer, Qureshi insisted that the pressure tactics of overzealous secret service agents bent on turning him into an informant had contributed to the metamorphosis of a person who had once been a “kind,” “gentle” and “beautiful young man.” And he was not the first case. British intelligence had used similar tactics, Qureshi charged, on one of the men who had beheaded a British soldier on a London street in broad daylight in 2013. The nation reacted fast, condemning Qureshi and the group he serves — Cage, whose outreach director is a former Guantanamo detainee — as part of the problem. Prime Minister David Cameron called Qureshi’s comments “reprehensible.” The Daily Mail decried Cage on its front page as “Jihadi John apologists.” A government body on Saturday reaffirmed an investigation into Cage’s biggest donors. Qureshi — who levied his charges in a Cage press conference held after The Washington Post unmasked Emwazi on Thursday — said he began taking extra security precautions this weekend after receiving death threats against him and his family.

Jonathan S. Tobin: Why the Fake Story About the Mossad Contradicting Netanyahu?— Yesterday the headlines in the Guardian and Al Jazeera trumpeted what seemed like a very juicy story. According to leaked South African intelligence cables obtained by Al Jazeera and shared with the Guardian, the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad had come to conclusions that “contradicted” Prime Minister Netanyahu’s assertions about Iran’s nuclear program in his 2012 speech to the General Assembly of the United Nations. The charge was repeated today in a story published by the New York Times. If true, then Netanyahu’s speech, best remembered for the cartoon bomb illustration he brandished, would be exposed as political hyperbole. But a closer look at the speech and the leaked cable shows that the headlines aren’t justified. In fact, they are downright false. That leads us to ask the question why major media outlets are seeking to discredit Netanyahu with misleading stories just at the moment when details about President Obama’s latest nuclear offer to Iran has become public. The answer reveals a great deal about both the bias of the press and the stakes in the Iran nuclear debate.

James Kirchick: Rock, Paper, Scissors of PC Victimology: For all of 15 minutes last weekend, Patricia Arquette was a progressive hero. Arquette, who won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar Sunday evening for her role in Richard Linklater’s Boyhood, used the final few seconds of her acceptance speech to deliver a stirring plea for female equality. “To every woman who gave birth, to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights—it’s our time to have wage equality once and for all, and equal rights for women in the United States of America,” Arquette declared, to enthusiastic cries of approval and passionate finger-pointing from fellow celebrities Jennifer Lopez and Meryl Streep. But in the time it took for Arquette to move from the Academy stage to answer questions from the press, she went from a liberal champion who used her two minutes of fame to speak passionately on behalf of a cause that she believed in to the latest target of the left’s ritualistic Two Minutes of Hate. Her offense: “It’s time,” she said, “for all the women in America and all the men that love women, and all the gay people, and all the people of color that we’ve all fought for to fight for us now.”

SnyderTalk Comment: I hope Elizabeth Warren decides to run for president.  We need to give her liberal progressive views an airing and a thrashing.

Actually, Warren’s views are neither liberal nor progressive.  Like the “gay” lifestyle, we have allowed them to commandeer those positive words and use them for sinister purposes.

Warren has a lot in common with Obama and the Clintons.  All of them are liars to the core.

What is it about Democrats who want to be president?  They all seem to have trouble with the truth.

I’m not a Republican, but I’ve noticed this: when a Republican lies, the media jumps on him with both feet.  When a Democrat lies, they defend him.  That tells us which political party the mainstream media supports, and they get help from liberal, left-wing Hollywood hotshots.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 50: 15-21

15 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph bears a grudge against us and pays us back in full for all the wrong which we did to him!” 16 So they sent a message to Joseph, saying, “Your father charged before he died, saying, 17 ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph, “Please forgive, I beg you, the transgression of your brothers and their sin, for they did you wrong.”’ And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him. 18 Then his brothers also came and fell down before him and said, “Behold, we are your servants.” 19 But Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place? 20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive. 21 So therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” So he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
