Zach Carter—Darrell Issa: ‘We Should Thank’ Rudy Giuliani for Questioning Whether Obama Loves America:

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said Sunday that the media is unfairly questioning Republicans about Rudy Giuliani’s recent claim that President Barack Obama doesn’t love America, and insisted that the public should “thank” the former New York City mayor for his comments.

Earlier this week, Giuliani said he believes Obama is unpatriotic.

“I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America,” Giuliani reportedly said during a fundraiser in New York. “He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country.”

Issa came to Giuliani’s defense on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday.

“The reality is that Rudy has taken our debate — and I think we should thank him for this part of it — back to national security, to the key element that the president should be focusing on,” Issa said, before carefully parsing Giuliani’s words in an effort to soften them. “Rudy Giuliani said he ‘didn’t believe’. He didn’t say the president ‘wasn’t,’ he said he ‘didn’t believe.’ Now the reality is that I do believe that the president believes strongly in America, I just think he views America differently.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Giuliani is one of many millions in the United States alone who question Obama’s patriotism.  Some are Republicans, some are not.  After 6 painful years as president, there are probably billions more scattered around the world.

As the president is prone to say, let me be perfectly clear: Obama’s patriotism is suspect, and so is his faith.  While we can’t judge his heart, we can tell a tree by its fruit.  That’s what the Messiah said during his Sermon on the Mount:

“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:15-20

The Messiah said that for a reason.  He expects us to discern right and wrong and good and evil, and he told us how to do it.  He said, “Look at the fruit.”  It’s the proverbial proof in the pudding.

Obama’s actions speak for themselves.  They tell us things about him that he would never say publicly on purpose because he’s too cunning and conniving.  He’s not clever, though.  That’s his Achilles heel.  He’s too transparent to be clever.  He can’t hide that smug pose for which he’s so famous.  It’s as though he’s thinking How dare you question me.

The video below is revealing, and the incident was covered extensively although not by the mainstream media.  Still, we reelected Obama.  That’s a telling fact.

If you wonder why Prime Minister Netanyahu is concerned about Obama and his dealings with Iran, that short video clip should settle the matter for you.  Bottom line: Obama can’t be trusted.  I suspect that those who still don’t know it never will.

Obama is right.  A Christian nation that would elect him as president would have a hard time explaining why.  If Obama would bother to read the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and the Federalist Papers, he would realize that we once were a Christian nation, not a perfect nation but a Christian nation.  We certainly aren’t a Christian nation any longer thanks to people like him.

Moshe Phillips and Benyamin Korn: Obama’s ‘Assurances’ Won’t Protect Israel— Israel should accept a “nuclear guarantee” from the Obama Administration and stop worrying about Iran’s nuclear capabilities, says longtime State Department peace processor Martin Indyk. What a coincidence! Just last November Indyk’s former right-hand man, David Makovsky, proposed the exact same thing. Do we detect a trial balloon? In a speech in Tel Aviv on February 16, Indyk said the U.S. promised to intervene if Iran crossed the “nuclear threshold,” and that promise should suffice to ease Israel’s concerns. In other words, Israel should entrust its future to a piece of paper signed by a president who has been, arguably, the most unfriendly president towards Israel in American history.

Waqas Sarwar: Why I, a Muslim, am going to a synagogue— It has been one week since the terrorist attack in Copenhagen that killed Dan Uzan, a Danish Jew. He was standing guard outside the city’s synagogue during a Bar Mitzvah gathering when a terrorist shot him dead in an act of unprovoked and blind killing for no other reason than Uzan being a Jew. A week later and just across the sea, in Oslo, the Shabbat will be marked in a rather unusual way. A group of Norwegian Muslims have decided to take upon themselves the task of organizing a human “chain of peace” around the synagogue in an act of solidarity. The gesture will be carried out on Saturday on the completion of Shabbat. On their Facebook page, the organizers write, “Islam means protecting our brothers and sisters regardless of their religious affiliation. Islam means elevating ourselves above all hatred and never sinking down to the level of haters. Islam means protecting one another”. The organizers are comprised of eight Norwegian Muslims; all of Pakistani origin except for one ethnic Norwegian convert.

SnyderTalk Comment: This is what decent human beings do.  We protect innocent people who are under attack.  If people calling themselves “Muslims” are attacking Jews, then decent Muslims will come to their defense.  By the way, liking and sharing on Facebook, as noble at that may be, is no substitute for doing the right thing if it is within your power to do something.  Now is the time for action.

Dovid Efune: Expert Says Al-Shabaab Threat Against Jewish-Owned Malls Shows Increased Jihadi Focus on Jewish Targets—A chilling video threat issued over the weekend by Somali terror group al-Shabaab against specific Jewish-owned malls provides further indication that Islamist groups around the world are setting their sights on Jewish targets, a leading expert on Jewish security and terrorist threats told The Algemeiner on Sunday. “The most recent threat by al-Shabaab against malls, and more specifically against Jewish-owned institutions around the world, is another indication that global jihadi groups are increasingly focusing on Jews and Jewish institutions as a way to rally support for their cause,” said Dr. Joshua Gleis, president of Gleis Security Consulting. Al-Shabaab’s recording, posted to YouTube on Saturday, mostly glorifies the group’s bloody 2013 attack on the Jewish-owned Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya which left 63 people dead and at least 175 wounded. Towards the end of the nearly 77 minute video, a masked man with an English accent calls on Jihadists to attack specific targets.

Rabbi Benjamin Blech: Bibi’s Breach of Protocol— Controversy surrounds the Prime Minister of Israel’s forthcoming appearance on Capitol Hill. Invited by Republican House Speaker John Boehner to address Congress about the threat of Iran’s nuclear ambitions, Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed this opportunity to share his country’s existential concern as the Iranian regime comes ever closer to achieving the capability of fulfilling its avowed goal of the total annihilation of Israel. But the White House has made known its displeasure. A growing number of Democratic lawmakers said they would boycott his talk. Vice President Joe Biden, who as president of the Senate would normally oversee Netanyahu’s address, said he would be out of town. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said she hoped the speech “doesn’t take place.” Why all this animosity toward the leader of a long-standing ally, the only democracy in the middle east, to whom President Obama has long pledged his unswerving loyalty? Because the administration has made clear its fury at a supposed breach of protocol. The White House insists it was not consulted before the invitation was given. That breach of etiquette, it stoutly maintains, trumps any benefit Congress might gain from the insights of the Prime Minister of the country to be most immediately and severely affected by the present negotiations being concluded with Iran.

SnyderTalk Comment: Actually, their animosity toward Netanyahu has little or nothing to do with breach of protocol.  They don’t like Netanyahu; they don’t want him to be reelected; and they want to suppress the truth.

Bjorn Jansen: Islam and Norway’s Leaking Fish Tank— Life is stirring in the fish tank. It is a controlled space, where one cannot see out and is dependent on nourishment from above. Or undernourishment. It comes from the press, with its censorship; from politicians, with their refusal to acknowledge how the increased presence of Islam is directly connected to the rise in anti-Semitism in Europe, and from the country’s “we-know-better” intellectual elite, who pass along “correct” truths. The term “prefabricated fodder” comes to mind. Norway is not the sole purveyor of it in Europe, unfortunately.

Jonathan Spyer: Hizballah, Iran, Assad Offensive Against Southern “Buffer Zone” near the Golan Heights— A force consisting of Hizballah fighters, Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Syrian regime soldiers launched an offensive this week  southwest  of Damascus, in the direction of Quneitra province and the Golan Heights.   Their aim is to regain territory lost to Syrian rebels and jihadis over the past year, and to establish a strong defensive line before the capital. In Quneitra and  Dera’a  provinces, close to  the borders with Israel and Jordan, the Syrian war is characterized by significantly different dynamics to elsewhere in this fragmented country.    The area is completely closed off to reporters, which may partially explain the absence of media attention.    In addition, the Islamic State is not a major factor among the forces opposed to the regime. In this area, a de facto, undeclared buffer zone has been established by both Israel and Jordan,  as part of a broader effort which includes Western and regional players.   The regime and its allies are currently attempting to claw back ground in this area.

Agence France-Presse: Iran Forming ‘Third Front’ Against Israel on Golan: Benjamin Netanyahu— Iran is seeking to open a “third front” against Israel using Hezbollah fighters on the Syrian Golan Heights, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday. Netanyahu said Tehran’s attempts to entrench itself along Israel’s borders was one of the biggest emerging security threats facing the Jewish state. “Alongside Iran’s direct guidance of Hezbollah’s actions in the north and Hamas’s in the south, Iran is trying also to develop a third front on the Golan Heights via the thousands of Hezbollah fighters who are in southern Syria and over which Iran holds direct command,” he said. Speaking at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said his ministers were to be briefed on “the security challenges developing around us, first and foremost Iran’s attempt to increase its foothold on Israel’s borders even as it works to arm itself with nuclear weapons.”

Dominic Jermey: The Middle East has much more to offer us than just oil and gas—Business with the Middle East? It’s a relationship that is hard to overestimate, and you probably think instantly of oil exports. Yes, some of the UK’s largest companies, such as Royal Dutch Shell and BP, are major investors in the region. But that misses the huge variety of important trading relationships we have. Take tourism – last year, visitors from the Middle East were the UK’s top- spending tourists, attracted by British luxury brands as much as by the outstanding tourism offering. The average visitor from Kuwait contributes £4,000 to our economy, and the average Qatari visitor almost £3,000 – nearly 10 times the average spend of our closest EU neighbours. But that is only the start. At UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), we see the breadth of the UK trading relationship with the Middle East. Indeed, as chief executive of UKTI, I’m tasked with helping UK-based companies succeed abroad and to bring investment into the UK from foreign firms. The more investment we attract, and the more markets our firms sell to, the more jobs and growth we will see in the UK economy. And it is the opportunities for business that make the Middle East such an important partner across a wide range of sectors.

Jonathan Rosenblum: God’s Calling Card— One afternoon, Toronto cardiologist Dr. Earl (Eliyahu Avraham) Nussbaum discovered that his secretary had mistakenly scheduled an appointment with him for an elderly woman, who had previously been seen by another cardiologist in his group practice. She was not even his patient. Moreover, he was supposed to pick up his daughter after school at that time at a bus stop exposed to the elements, Though irritated, he knew his colleague would never agree to see a patient not on his schedule for the day, even if she was elderly and already in the office. So he met with her rather than raise a ruckus with the secretaries. After speaking to the patient and examining her, he ordered a series of tests, and scheduled a follow-up appointment to go over the results. Her results were fine. But to his surprise, when Dr. Nussbaum informed the elderly woman that her heart was fine and her symptoms not a cause of concern, she showed no relief and remained completely affectless.

Soeren Kern: Islamic Terrorism, Sharia Patrols and “De-Radicalization”— In Austria, the government threatened to close the Vienna-based King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID), due to its refusal to condemn the flogging of Raif Badawi, a Saudi human rights activist and blogger who has been sentenced to 1,000 lashes and 10 years in prison for “insulting Islam.” Saudi Arabia responded to the threat by issuing a counter-threat to move the permanent headquarters of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) out of Austria. Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann said: “If this center says it stands for interreligious dialogue, then it must do so. But if it wants to remain only an economic center with a religious fig leaf, then Austria should no longer be a part of it. In any event, Austria will not allow itself to be threatened or blackmailed.”

Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi: Naqshbandi Army Statement: Condemnation of the Burning of Muadh al-Kasasbeh: Translation & Analysis— This latest statement from the Ba’athist-Sufi Naqshbandi Army [Jaysh Rijal al-Tariqat al-Naqshbandia: JRTN] condemning the burning alive of the Jordanian pilot Muadh al-Kasasbeh follows the usual pattern of condemning Islamic State [IS] excesses without mentioning IS by name: compare with the destruction of religious sites in Mosul and attacks on minorities in Ninawa province like the Yezidis and Christians, also condemned by the Naqshbandi Army without explicit mention of IS. Implicitly, JRTN is portraying the IS phenomenon as an agent of Iran. But perhaps of greater interest in the statement is the glowing tribute paid to the pilot and to Jordan as a nation by JRTN. Note in comparison the condolences the group paid to the deceased Saudi king Abdullah, hailing his supposed role in “anchoring ties of the Arab brothers and connections of Islamic faith and humanity,” bringing about great changes through his actions in the “interest of the protected kingdom and the interest of our Arab and Islamic Ummah and all of humanity.” Clearly, the JRTN leadership views both Saudi Arabia and Jordan as allies even though they are actively participating in the U.S.-led coalition against IS. In contrast, the 1920s Revolution Brigades- another Sunni insurgent group of nationalist orientation that is quite close to the Naqshbandi Army, hence the front group run by the two groups (‘General Military Council for Iraq’s Revolutionaries‘)- has openly condemned the coalition for supposedly waging war on Islam and Sunni areas, and has questioned Arab states’ participation in the coalition.

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach: As Stanford Falls to BDS, It’s Time to Strike Back— The dominoes are falling one by one. The student governments of major and highly prestigious universities, comprised of giant Jewish student populations, are voting to divest from major companies doing business with Israel. The latest to succumb is Stanford University, who this past Tuesday voted in favor of BDS. Stanford, with its large Jewish student body, is a particular blow seeing as it is such a very important university in the world in relation to hi-tech and the internet as well as the large and influential Jewish presence in Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. How can this be happening, especially when the SJP (Students for Justice in Palestine) groups who loudly influence the passing of these resolutions usually number fewer than a hundred members at their Universities? Take UCLA, which voted in favor of BDS a few months back. There are more than 3,000 Jewish students there. Could they really have allowed their elected student government to vote so unjustly?

11--THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

#####

Palestinian stabs Israeli, neutralized by mayor

SnyderTalk Comment: Jerusalem’s mayor, Nir Barkat, would stand out in the U.S.  When confronted with a life threatening situation, he did what had to be done, and it’s not the first time.  See “Two Time Hero: Jerusalem Mayor’s Heroic Intervention Comes Exactly 11 Years After Saving Lives in Suicide Bombing Aftermath”.

Israel is loaded with people like Barkat.  I’m not trying to diminish his heroic deeds, but I am pointing out that politicians in Israel are battle hardened.  Unlike so many U.S. politicians, they don’t just talk.  They recognize a problem and take action.  No delay.  No hesitation.  No committee meetings.  No blaming others while there is work to be done.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is battle hardened, too.  He has been in the field not as an observer, but as a fighter.  It’s not like sitting in the Situation Room watching live satellite feeds of military actions in faraway places.

Netanyahu lives in a country that is surrounded by enemies who have threatened to wipe Israel out or drive the Jews into the sea.  Many times, they have attempted to eliminate the Jewish state and each time they have failed.  Yahweh is their Protector, but He has instilled in His people brave hearts.  Netanyahu is one of those people.

President Obama and his Democrat comrades should be ashamed of the way they have treated the Israeli prime minister.  They should welcome him with open arms, listen attentively to what he has to say, and thank him for his willingness to address Congress.  Instead, they are behaving like spoiled brats who didn’t get their way on the playground.  As I said, they should be ashamed.

NYC, Orthodox Jews clash over oral circumcision rite

SnyderTalk Comment: This one blows my mind.  It’s a combination of sodomy and pedophilia.  How can you explain it any other way?

What kind of person would do such a filthy thing?  What kind of parents would allow it to happen to their 8-day-old son?

Clash my derriere?  People should be charged with crimes, tried, convicted, and sent to prison.

Rabbi?  That’s a crock.  I wonder what Yahweh will say about this practice, the people who perform it, and those who allow it?  Judaism has some serious cleanup work to do.

This isn’t about religious freedom.  It’s about right and wrong.  It’s not scriptural, either.  It’s not in the Tanach so it was made up, and it is immoral.

I guess the thing that bothers me most is the nonchalant way in which the reporter, Verena Dobnik, presents the facts.  It’s not a casual matter.  It’s an appalling violation of Yahweh’s law and criminal law.  It’s not even close to being a close call.

Obama appoints Muslim Brotherhood-linked Muslim to head ‘Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications’

SnyderTalk Comment: Obama is tone-deaf.  That’s putting the fox in the henhouse.  Absurd.

This is what Egypt is doing: “Egypt charges 215 from Muslim Brotherhood” and “Egyptian court jails leading activist for five years”.  Who do you think has a better handle on the situation: Obama or Sisi?

Leaders throughout the Middle East are taking action to prevent a catastrophe, but our president ignores their warnings and goes ahead with his fool hearty plans because he thinks that he knows best.  Obama’s ignorance knows no bounds, but he thinks he’s a genius.  It’s a narcissistic tendency.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 49: 27-33

27 “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, and in the evening he divides the spoil.” 28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them. He blessed them, every one with the blessing appropriate to him. 29 Then he charged them and said to them, “I am about to be gathered to my people; bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite, 30 in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought along with the field from Ephron the Hittite for a burial site. 31 There they buried Abraham and his wife Sarah, there they buried Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and there I buried Leah— 32 the field and the cave that is in it, purchased from the sons of Heth.”33 When Jacob finished charging his sons, he drew his feet into the bed and breathed his last, and was gathered to his people.

SnyderTalk Comment: Read His Name is Yahweh.  Jacob’s blessings are a real eye-opener.  Yahweh is good and He is merciful, but He is also just and fair.  Vengeance belongs to Him.  He will repay.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
