Earl Cox—Is God through with the Jews?:

Anti-Semitism is spreading around the world at an alarming speed. In case you don’t know what anti-Semitism is, it is a Jew-hating attitude of discrimination against, or hostility towards, Jewish people. Some might conjure up images of goose-stepping Nazis, Germany and the Holocaust, but these images cause us to miss today’s subtle, new anti-Semitic messages that are cropping up everywhere.

Hating people because they are Jewish is diametrically opposed to Christian principles and teachings. When we as decent, law-abiding westerners, particularly church-going Christians, only see “anti-Semitism” as associated with Nazis, Germany and the Holocaust, it becomes difficult for us to see that, collectively, we might be guilty ourselves of being anti-Semitic.

There is a rising tide of anti-Semitism flooding our own local communities, churches, families, and even inside our own hearts and minds. “When good men do nothing, evil prevails.” As an ancient evil found in writings as far back as 270 B.C., anti-Semitism is nevertheless based in religion. Modern day anti-Semitism stems from those who point to a concern for social or moral justice; it does not show the religious element. You know and I know that countless Jews were slaughtered in recent history. In truth, only a handful of Christians participated in Jewish pogroms (massacres).

SnyderTalk Comment: Yahweh has always been with the Jews, and He will continue to be there for them and with them.  That’s what He said.  It’s not my opinion.

Yahweh also made this promise to Abraham and his descendants: “And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Genesis 12: 3)  It’s just as binding today as it was the day Yahweh made it.

People ignore Yahweh’s promises at their own peril.

Fox News: FBI probing suspect’s recent conversion to Islam in Oklahoma beheading—FBI officials are investigating a beheading at an Oklahoma food distribution center after co-workers said the suspect tried to convert them to Islam after his recent conversion. The alleged suspect, Alton Nolen, 30, was recently fired from Vaughan Foods in Moore prior to Thursday’s attack. Moore Police Department Sgt. Jeremy Lewis told KFOR that Nolen drove to the front of the business and struck a vehicle before walking inside. He then attacked Colleen Hufford, 54, stabbing her several times before severing her head. He also stabbed another woman, 43-year-old Traci Johnson, at the plant. Lewis said Mark Vaughan, the company’s chief operating officer and a reserve county deputy, shot Nolen as he was stabbing Johnson, who remains hospitalized in stable condition Friday. “He’s a hero in this situation,” Lewis told the station. “It could have gotten a lot worse.”

SnyderTalk Comment: If you don’t believe that concealed weapons are helpful, there is not much that I can say to help you.

Angela Charlton: New jihad appeal makes policing even harder— The Islamic State group’s call on Muslims to go after the “filthy French” and other Westerners multiplies already deep security concerns in nations targeting the militant organization. The appeal made public Monday makes intelligence tracking of potential suspects virtually impossible and opens up Muslims in the West to the possibility of being unfairly put under suspicion or stigmatized.

Soeren Kern: Switzerland: Land of Jihad— Swiss lawmakers have filed a motion calling on the Swiss Parliament formally to ban the jihadist group Islamic State [IS] from operating in Switzerland. The measure—signed by more than 40 politicians from across the political spectrum—is in response to new revelations that the IS has established a network of cells inside Switzerland to raise money and recruit fighters for the jihad in Syria and Iraq. The jihadist cells are primarily focused on providing financial, logistical and propaganda support to help the IS establish an Islamic theocracy in the Middle East, according to a report published by the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) on September 21. But terrorism analysts are warning that the cells could easily be used to perpetrate terror attacks inside Switzerland. According to the NZZ, Swiss authorities are investigating at least three Iraqi nationals who are the alleged ringleaders of IS activities in Switzerland.

Karin McQuillan: Obama Forbids FBI to Use Religion in Identifying Terror Threats, as ISIS Recruits Openly in U.S. Mosques— AT had a chance to catch up with Steven Emerson, head of The Investigative Project on Terrorism, and hear his assessment of the ISIS threat here on American soil.  Emerson runs the country’s top data center on Islamic terror groups in the United States, working like a man possessed, and accomplishing the work of thousands on sheer guts and determination to protect our country. Wherever the bad guys have been caught and prosecuted successfully, you will find Emerson working quietly behind the scenes as an invaluable ally of the FBI and Homeland Security.  Because he accepts no money from the government, Emerson has been free of the diktats of the Obama administration that have forbidden the FBI to train their sights on Muslim terrorists.

Adam Kredo: Obama’s Praise for Radical Muslim Cleric is ‘Truly Unsettling’— Rep. Louie Gohmert (R., Texas) said that it is “truly unsettling” and “utterly appalling” that President Obama went before the United Nations on Wednesday and praised a controversial Muslim cleric who endorsed a fatwa encouraging the murder of U.S. troops in Iraq. Obama came under scrutiny yesterday after the Washington Free Beacon reported on his commendation of controversial cleric Sheikh Abdallah Bin Bayyah, who the president referred to as a moderate Muslim capable of helping to combat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL or ISIS) extremist ideology.

Lee Smith: The Godfather’s Guide to the Middle East— Just when President Barack Obama thought he was out of the Middle East, ISIS pulled him back in. Or at least that’s how the aging Michael Corleone put it in The Godfather: Part III when he was trying to move into legitimate business after a lifetime of organized crime. For as every American male knows, everything you need to know about the world is contained in The Godfather. What Sun Tzu was to Chinese kings and Machiavelli was to Renaissance princes, The Godfather is to post-World War II middle-class America. For over 40 years now, the classic three-part story of the Corleone family, a tale of American immigrants and ruthless criminals, has served as a compendium of political and strategic wisdom for college-educated Americans, whose lives grow ever more distant from the day-to-day violence that shaped the lives of their ancestors and still shapes the political culture of most of the world today.

Ravi Kumar: Syrian Rebel Group: U.S. Weapons Great, Airstrikes Bad— A group that reportedly has been supplied with American anti-tank guided TOW missiles has issued a statement condemning the U.S.-led airstrikes against ISIS terrorists in Syria. In an Arabic language social media post Tuesday, the rebel group Harakat Hazm said that, “The aerial bombardments are an assault against the national sovereignty” which only help the Assad regime cling to power. The statement argues that the better move would be to arm “the Free Syrian Army without condition [otherwise] the result will be failure and destruction that reach the whole region.” The United States carried out its first attacks inside Syria against the terrorist group the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also known as the Islamic State, early Tuesday. U.S. fighter jets and ship-based Tomahawk missiles bombed targets in Raqaa, an ISIS stronghold, among other targets.

David Ibsen, Gabriel Pedreira, and Brian Stewart: Extremist Iranian Regime Has No Business Promoting ‘World Against Violence & Extremism’ Initiative at UN— In his inaugural speech before the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) last year, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani launched his “The World Against Violence and Extremism” (WAVE) initiative ostensibly to promote “tolerance over violence, progress over bloodletting, justice over discrimination, prosperity over poverty, and freedom over despotism.” An Iranian-sponsored UN resolution in support of WAVE soon followed, and Rouhani and his foreign policy team have promoted WAVE throughout the year as an example of his supposedly more “moderate” Iranian regime.

Rania Spooner: Don’t brand Melbourne youth a terrorist: Islamic Council— The Islamic council of Victoria has refused to condemn the actions of a man who was fatally shot after stabbing two anti-terrorism police, and has hit out at authorities for pre-empting the outcome of investigations into the tragedy. Council secretary Ghaith Krayem has also criticised the government for adopting an “enforcement” approach to managing the threat of home-grown terrorism, describing underlying issues as social, rather than religious and in need of greater scrutiny.

Nick Cumming-Bruce: Women’s Rights Activist Executed by ISIS in Iraq— An Iraqi lawyer known for her work promoting women’s rights has been killed by Islamic State fighters, the head of the United Nations human rights office said on Thursday, continuing a pattern of attacks on professional women. The lawyer, Sameera Salih Ali al-Nuaimy, was seized from her home by Islamic State fighters last week and tortured for several days before a masked firing squad executed her in public on Monday, Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, the United Nations human rights commissioner, said in a statement.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 31: 25-28

25 Laban caught up with Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the hill country, and Laban with his kinsmen camped in the hill country of Gilead. 26 Then Laban said to Jacob, “What have you done by deceiving me and carrying away my daughters like captives of the sword? 27 Why did you flee secretly and deceive me, and did not tell me so that I might have sent you away with joy and with songs, with timbrel and with lyre; 28 and did not allow me to kiss my sons and my daughters? Now you have done foolishly.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Read His Name is Yahweh.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
