Khaled Abu Toameh—ISIS Already In Gaza Strip:

Despite denials by Hamas, there is growing evidence that the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria [ISIS] — also known as “The Islamic State” — has begun operating in the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Authority [PA] and Israeli security sources are convinced that followers of ISIS in the Gaza Strip are responsible for some of the recent rocket attacks on Israel.

Hamas, they say, seems to be losing control over the dozens of terror cells belonging to ISIS and other jihadi groups.

Eyad al-Bazam, spokesman for the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Interior, earlier this week denied reports ISIS terrorists had infiltrated into Egypt through tunnels along the border with the Gaza Strip. He described the reports as “lies and fabrications,” adding that they are part of a campaign to “distort the image of the Gaza Strip,” and that “There is no presence of ISIS in the Gaza Strip.”

The denial came in response to a report in the Egyptian newspaper Al-Masry Al-Youm according to which Egyptian security forces arrested 15 ISIS terrorists who tried to enter Sinai from the Gaza Strip. According to the report, Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip facilitated the infiltration of the ISIS terrorists into Egypt so that they could carry out a terrorist attack against Egyptians.

The report said that the terrorists had been entrusted with establishing terror cells and branches of ISIS in Egypt.

SnyderTalk Comment: Thank you President Obama for all that you have accomplished in the Middle East so far.  You really got the ball rolling.  Since the first stop on your apology tour in Cairo has worked so well, I think you should consider making a trip to Gaza to apologize to ISIS and Hamas.  I know that Hamas and ISIS will be thrilled about entertaining you.  Since you have made the Middle East safe, you should consider leaving your security detail at home.  You have done so much for them, and I know that they will want to do something for you.

Elder of Ziyon: There Had Been Previous Attempts to Kidnap Members of Abu Khdeir’s Family— Israeli media are all over the place in guessing who is responsible for the kidnap and murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir. Haaretz pretends to lay out the facts known so far, and reaches its predictable conclusion: “Who was Mohammed Abu Khdeir? Here’s what can be published that hasn’t already been reported. He was 16 and a half, a student in the electricity vocational program at an Amal high school.”

Elder of Ziyon: 60% of Palestinian Arabs Say Five-Year National Goal is to Destroy Israel— The Washington Institute for Near East Policy recently commissioned a survey of Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza. The results prove yet again that Palestinian Arab attitudes towards Israel are anything but peaceful. The clear majority of Palestinians polled – 60 percent, including 55 percent in the West Bank – say that their five year national goal should be “to work toward reclaiming all of historic Palestine from the river to the sea.” Yes, despite the insistence of biased “experts” who claim that Palestinian Arabs support a two-state solution and only want peace with Israel, the fact is that a convincing majority explicitly say that the real goal is to eliminate Israel altogether.

Dr. Reuven Berko: Radical Islam: Raging unabated— The kidnapping and brutal murder of the three teenage boys by members of the Islamic terrorist group Hamas is part of an inconceivable array of global Islamic atrocity. Mass murders, rape, theft and the mass flight of people from their homes — offered as a message of persuasion by radical Islam and Muslim Brotherhood commentators to the world as part of the Hamas power center, the dawa network. While Western world leaders refuse to internalize the Islamic threat to their countries and families, signs indicate that it is precisely those of weak intellect in Europe and the United States who understand exactly what the Islamist sheiks are talking about. It appears that the mentally ill and the moonstruck understand the message of Islam and its preachers, and are responding to the call of Allah. These “joonim” and “jamaisim,” alongside young European-born Muslims who wish to destroy Europe from within, volunteer in their numbers and travel to the Middle East to do the murderous work of the sheikhs, who deliver their incitement under the protection of democracy.

Moshe Phillips and Benyamin Korn: Abbas and Israel’s Murdered Teens: No Remorse in Sight— The world’s praise for Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ opposition to the kidnapping of the Israeli teenagers has been as loud and frequent as the world’s condemnation of the kidnapping itself. President Obama, in his statement following the discovery of the victims’ bodies, went out of his way to claim, not once, but twice, that Palestinian leaders were just as opposed to the kidnapping as Israel’s leaders. Why this ludicrous insistence on portraying Abbas and the PA as Israel’s friend in the fight against terrorism?

Prof. Ron Breiman: Don’t focus on Hamas alone— The kidnapping and brutal murder of the three youths Eyal Yifrach, Gil-ad Shaar, and Naftali Frenkel demand an appropriate, significant, and focused response by Israel. There are those among us who call themselves “moderate” and are urging us to use our heads and calling the others — those they say tend to “respond from the gut” — “extremists.” As of now, it seems like both groups have conservative tendencies: repeating the same thinking and conduct that has characterized Israeli leadership, Left and Right, since the Black September of 1993, when the fraudulent, capitulatory deal with the entire Palestine Liberation Organization was signed.

Ted Belman: What good can come from waiting to destroy Hamas?—The Cabinet met last night after learning of the deaths of Fraenkel, Shaar, and Yifrach. According to a TOI report: Unconfirmed reports from the cabinet meeting suggested that demands by more hawkish ministers for a “game-changing” response to the killings were likely to be rejected. Netanyahu met both before and after the session with Economy Minister Naftali Bennett, head of the Orthodox-nationalist Jewish Home party, who was said to be demanding harsher measures than those favored by Netanyahu and some more moderate ministers. Ministers were said to have contemplated a range of options, including an escalated campaign against Hamas, new building projects at settlements, and issuing a demand that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas sever his unity government partnership with Hamas. Abbas was quoted saying that if Israel responded by expanding settlements, he would appeal to the United Nations.

Israel Hayom Staff: ‘Abbas loathes Netanyahu’— Recently resigned U.S. envoy to the Israel-Palestinian peace talks Martin Indyk revealed on Wednesday some of the factors he believes contributed to the failures of the talks. Speaking to The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, Indyk pointed to the deep mistrust and even hatred between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. “There is a deep loathing of each leader for the other that has built up over the years,” he said. “Loathing is maybe too strong a word for the way Netanyahu feels about Abbas, but it is certainly the way Abbas feels about Netanyahu,” noting that Abbas would refer to Netanyahu as “that man.”

Richard Baehr: Some murders are different— The world press is hot on a story it wants to cover — a Palestinian teenager is forced ‎into a car, and is found murdered hours later. A verdict has been rendered — ‎the murderer had to have been an Israeli settler, seeking vengeance after the ‎kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers two weeks earlier. It may well be ‎that this murder went down exactly as it is described. In any sense, it is ghastly, and ‎Israeli officials have been quick to condemn it, however it happened. ‎The bigger story is the wave of relief this latest murder has created for the ‎international press, since it has enabled them and the rest of the “international ‎community” to turn the page from the horrific slaughter of the three young Israelis for which there is ‎little doubt about responsibility, to one that better fits their biases and beliefs.‎

Michael Curtis: French and British Heroes Fight Radical Evil—The late actor Steve McQueen, the “king of cool” — relaxed, detached, self-confident — is best remembered for his frenetic car chase through the streets of San Francisco as Bullitt, a detective in pursuit of Mafia villains. The recent republication of a novel Early One Morning by Robert Ryan, inspired by real life heroes, rekindles memories of similar cool characters, daring racing car drivers who became members of the French Resistance during World War II. Their true story of heroism, romance, and betrayal is even stranger than fiction. The real account is of two courageous and resourceful individuals, one French, one British, and a third person, a slightly younger Frenchman who played a less important role. Successful in their racing car careers, they then endangered their lives by engaging in underground operations against the German Nazis occupying France. Interestingly, the qualities displayed by the three racers, as by the fictional Bullitt, were those suitable for such dangerous wartime operations. In both cases their behavior involved taking risks, but their exploits were done in a cool fashion and minimizing chances of misfortune or mistake.

Joshua Gleis: Happy Fourth of July, Kurdistan— Pop quiz: What side does the United States support? On one side are the Iraqi Kurds. Backed publicly by Turkey and Israel, and privately, by a growing chorus of academic, political and economic leaders from around the world, the 20+ million people who call themselves Kurds are the largest nation in the world without a country of their own. On the other side is the current Iraqi government. Backed publicly by Iran, and privately by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corp, the Shiite-dominated Iraqi government has worked for years to disassociate itself from the United States while alienating its Sunni and Kurdish partners.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 16: 1-6

1 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife had borne him no children, and she had an Egyptian maid whose name was Hagar. 2 So Sarai said to Abram, “Now behold, Yahweh has prevented me from bearing children. Please go in to my maid; perhaps I will obtain children through her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai. 3 After Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Abram’s wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her maid, and gave her to her husband Abram as his wife. 4 He went in to Hagar, and she conceived; and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her sight. 5 And Sarai said to Abram, “May the wrong done me be upon you. I gave my maid into your arms, but when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her sight. May Yahweh judge between you and me.” 6 But Abram said to Sarai, “Behold, your maid is in your power; do to her what is good in your sight.” So Sarai treated her harshly, and she fled from her presence.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
