Michael Snyder—20 Obama Quotes About Islam Contrasted With 20 Obama Quotes About Christianity:

You are about to read some of the most shocking quotes that Barack Obama has ever uttered in public.  A few of these have been widely circulated, but most of them are very obscure.  Even though he claims to be a Christian, throughout his political career Obama has repeatedly attacked traditional Biblical Christianity and he has a very long history of anti-Christian actions.  In public speeches he has repeatedly cast doubt on the Bible, he has repeatedly stated that he does not believe that Jesus is necessary for salvation, and he has consistently said that he believes that all “people of faith” believe in the same God.  At the same time, Obama has always referred to Muhammed as “the Prophet”, he has always expressed great love and respect for Islam, and he has even removed all references to Islam from terror training materials used by federal government agencies.  So what in the world does “the leader of the free world” actually believe?  Read the quotes below and decide for yourself:

#1—“The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam”

#2—“The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer”

#3—“We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.”

Adam Levick: Why Do Swedish Jews Need to File for Political Asylum in Their Own Country?— Last year we had the pleasure of interviewing a Swedish Jew (and Zionist activist) named Annika Hernroth-Rothstein, who recounted her experiences living in a country plagued by a dangerous rise in antisemitism. As the recent poll on European antisemitism by the Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) confirmed, the already precarious situation for Sweden’s Jews has taken a turn for the worse, and Hernroth-Rothstein’s latest essay at Mosaic Magazine serves as an important personal story to add detail and nuance to the FRA data.

Elliott Abrams: There Friedman goes again— Never have I seen Israel and America’s core Arab allies working more in concert to stymie a major foreign policy initiative of a sitting U.S. president, and never have I seen more lawmakers — Democrats and Republicans — more willing to take Israel’s side against their own president’s. I’m certain this comes less from any careful consideration of the facts and more from a growing tendency by many American lawmakers to do whatever the Israel lobby asks them to do to garner Jewish votes and campaign donations.

Tony Badran: Hizbullah – Outpost of the Iranian Revolution—Hizbullah and the Islamic Republic of Iran have been joined at the hip even before the 1979 Iranian revolution. Thanks to the efforts of Israeli Hizbullah expert Shimon Shapira, we now know that one of the men responsible for the Oct. 23, 1983, attack on the barracks of the U.S Marines and French paratroopers stationed in Beirut, killing 241 U.S. and 58 French servicemen, was an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander named Hossein Dehghan – the man Iranian President Hassan Rouhani recently tapped to be his defense minister.

Dan Margalit: The US has principles, and other principles too— Forty-one years ago, the U.S. and North Vietnam signed an agreement that allowed the American troops to end their combat mission in Southeast Asia. It was all too obvious that this was no peace deal. Any levelheaded person could have told you that. The communists and National Security Adviser Henry Kissinger settled on murky language. Kissinger tried to tout the agreement as proof that the U.S. had not suffered a crushing defeat on the battlefield. Two years later the Democratic Republic of Vietnam invaded South Vietnam and made a mockery out of the U.S. The enlightened nations of the world could share the same exact fate in the talks with Iran. Having reached an impasse, they are now focused on formulating a memorandum of understanding rather than an interim agreement.

Boaz Bismuth: The world won’t let the facts spoil reality— Global blindness in the face of the Iranian nuclear project is not the only problem with Geneva talks. The very nature of the international community’s behavior around Iran is also problematic. Exemplifying this issue, on Wednesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spoke about Israel, using expressions such as “Zionist dogs” and prophesying that Israel would “disappear from the map,” and not a single world power in Geneva raised its voice in protest. I witnessed this repulsiveness first-hand.

Eyal Zisser: The Failure of U.S. Policy toward Damascus—What Arabs resent most is not the U.S. invasion of Iraq or even support for Israel: The Arabs are most angry at the U.S. because it is the most convenient “other.” To the Arabs, Washington’s international success and status is a constant reminder of Arab decline from its glorious past. The U.S. is seen as the successor to Britain and other colonial powers and, therefore, shall be an enemy forever. As long as the only explanation offered for the decline remains a U.S.-Zionist conspiracy, rejection of good-faith efforts by the West will remain as it is. Curiously, the dream of the average Arab individual is to immigrate to the States or experience the American way of life.

Soeren Kern: Spain: Islamic Radicals Infiltrate the Military— The Spanish military is quietly monitoring its Muslim soldiers in an effort to prevent the spread of Islamic radicalism within its ranks, according to a classified Defense Ministry document that has been leaked to the Spanish media. The Spanish Army has also been systematically replacing its Muslim soldiers with new recruits from Latin America in an effort to reduce the potential for trouble in areas of Spain that have a large Muslim population.

Douglas J. Feith: Sanctions on Iran Won’t Be Cranked Back Up— President Obama wants Iran to suspend parts of its nuclear program in return for easing international economic sanctions. Critics contend that if the West strikes a deal along these lines, Iran could cheat far more easily than the rest of the world could reinstate tough sanctions. But Mr. Obama insists that relaxing sanctions is reversible: If the Iranians are “not following through,” he recently told NBC News, “We can crank that dial back up.” Peace and arms-control agreements have a long history that warns against such assurances. Democratic countries have time and again failed to get what they bargained for with their undemocratic antagonists—and then found themselves unable or unwilling to enforce the bargain.

Yoram Schweitzer and Benedetta Berti: The Bombing of the Iranian Embassy in Beirut: Hitting Two Birds with One Stone— Over the past two years the Syrian conflict has evolved from non-violent political demonstrations into a militarized, sectarian, and prolonged civil war. Furthermore, massive external involvement in the internal war has turned Syria into a proxy regional war. This is not only because of the major humanitarian crisis triggered by the conflict and the economic and political pressure Syria’s neighbors face in seeking to accommodate the growing influx of refugees, but also because the war in Syria risks destabilizing the entire Middle East. Indeed, the November 19, 2013 attack against the Iranian embassy in Beirut is an example of the ever-growing regional price of the Syrian civil war. Simply put: the myth that external actors could take an active part in the conflict in Syria while entirely shielding themselves at home from the costs of their involvement has been shattered.

Jacques Neriah: Egypt’s Turn to Russia—Russia is considering selling some major weapon systems to Egypt. A representative of Russia’s state arms exporter spoke about supplying helicopter gunships, air defense systems, Kornet anti-tank missiles, and about refurbishing and modernizing previously purchased military equipment delivered by the then-Soviet Union to Egypt. (Other leaked information mentioned selling Mig-29M/M2 fighter jets and even submarines.) This arms deal would be possibly funded by Saudi Arabia or through a loan provided by Russia.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

The scripture below is from the New American Standard Bible, and the hyperlinks associated with each word are from Strong’s Concordance for the New American Standard Bible.

Micah 1: 1-3

The word of Yahweh which came [to] Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem. Hear, O peoples, all of you; listen, O earth and all it contains, and let the Lord Yahweh be a witness against you, Yahweh from His holy temple. For behold, Yahweh is coming forth from His place. He will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
