Herb Keinon—The US and a diplomatic motion for peace:

Something is happening on the diplomatic front with the Palestinians – that much is obvious.

The signals are everywhere.

They range from Finance Minister Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) and Economy and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett (Bayit Yehudi) talking about legislating a referendum to approve any deal with the Palestinians, to an Arab League delegation in Washington saying that they could live with an agreement based on the pre-1967 lines with “mild” adjustments.

4--Scripture of the Day

Daniel 8: 21-24

“The shaggy goat represents the kingdom of Greece, and the large horn that is between his eyes is the first king. The broken horn and the four horns that arose in its place represent four kingdoms which will arise from his nation, although not with his power. In the latter period of their rule, when the transgressors have run their course, a king will arise, insolent and skilled in intrigue. His power will be mighty, but not by his own power, and he will destroy to an extraordinary degree and prosper and perform his will; he will destroy mighty men and the holy people.”

5--HNIY Print form

His Name is Yahweh explains why the Name of God, Yahweh, is so important.  It’s available in eBook format and in paperback.  It’s also available for free in PDF format.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

Raymond Ibrahim: Death to Churches Under Islam: A Study of the Coptic Church, Part II— The sort of Muslim attacks on Christian churches described by the historian Maqrizi and conforming to the Conditions of Omar are reoccurring with increased frequency.  Again, while the patterns described above are occurring  all around the Muslim world—sometimes even in the West—modern day Egypt alone, with its significant Christian population, offers an abundance of recent examples.

Daniel Greenfield:Secretary of State Huma Abedin?—Inseparable from Hillary Clinton, how high will the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrator go?

Bosch Fawstin: Drowning Out All Things Benghazi—Obama’s trying to drown out the Benghazi Whistleblowers the way he drowned out the cries for help from the Americans who died there.

Joseph Puder: Winds of Anti-Semitism Blow from Europe to U.S.—Why rising Muslim populations are the common denominator.

Emily Amrousi: The Tapuach Junction near you— If history is any guide, a new wave of terrorism that originates in “the territories” rapidly makes its way toward Israel’s main population centers.

Dan Margalit: Nothing new in the Arab League proposal— Israel must welcome the Arab League’s endorsement of land swaps, but the situation hasn’t fundamentally changed.

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner: We’ll see you in court— If Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh want to go to The Hague, we will be there to meet them.

Dr. Haim Shine: Strength in the face of terrorism— It is important for Israel’s leadership to insist on the country’s interests and for Israelis not to tire from paying the price of liberty.

Yoav Limor: All hands on deck— While the military seems to be in control of all sectors for now, the violence brewing in Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip, and on the northern border, does not bode well.

Lt. Col. (ret.) Michael Segall: After Failed Negotiations, Iran Weighs a Nuclear “Breakout”—Iran already has the necessary technological capability to produce at least one nuclear bomb. Iran is actually a short way from the red line, and crossing it is a matter of deciding. As Iran assesses that the traditional tools (terror, subversion, export of the revolution) will no longer suffice to promote its goals of regional hegemony and guaranteeing its survival, Iran is drawing closer to a decision on going nuclear. It is waiting for the right moment to “break out.”

Jonathan Tobin: Blame Obama, Not Israel for Syria Push— For those who like to blame Israel for every aspect of American involvement in the Middle East, the debate about Syria must be frustrating.

Ron Ben-Yishai: U.S. Gains More from Arms Deal—The Middle Eastern arms deal announced last week gives the Saudis and the UAE the ability to attack targets on the ground from a great distance and with great precision. In the past the Americans vowed never to provide such capabilities to oil-rich Arab states which foster radical Islam. But in this deal they are doing precisely that – big time.

Sara Akrami and Saeed Ghasseminejad: The Ayatollah’s Billions—Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, controls a substantial portion of the Iranian economy through his various holdings and foundations. The most notable foundations directly controlled by him are the Imam Khomeini Foundation, Mostazafan Foundation, Abdolazim Shrine, and Astan Qods. The heads of these foundations are directly appointed by the Supreme Leader. They do not pay taxes, cannot be audited by parliament or the judiciary, and operate as personal properties of Khamenei, outside the normal structure of the Iranian state.

Ryan Parry: My boyfriend the bomberAN ex-girlfriend of dead Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev has told how he tried to brainwash her into becoming a Muslim fanatic who hated America. Nadine Ascencao, 24, said Tamerlan made her wear an Islamic hijab and pray to Allah and slapped her when she wore Western clothes. But she was so blindly in love with the handsome boxer who had taken her virginity, she did her utmost to make him happy. Nadine said: “I went to his mosque a couple of times and even looked into converting to make him happy. I thought, ‘This is crazy’ — but I still did it for him. “Tamerlan had taken my virginity and said he loved me because I was pure and hadn’t been with any other guys. I was in love and scared he’d leave me if I didn’t do what he said. Looking back I had a lucky escape.”

Jack Dunphy: Even the Tsarnaev Brothers Can’t Awaken MSM from Its Slumber—It seemed as though no one in the mainstream media dared even suggest the possibility that the Boston Marathon bombings had been the work of Muslim jihadists, this despite the near-universal suspicion outside their little bubble that they were. How comforting it must be, in places like Salon and The Atlantic, to be so insulated from the perils of the real world that one can sit at a computer and produce articles in which the reader is asked to join the writer in the delusion that those perils do not exist.

Michael Geer: Terrorism: Follow the Money—Terrorism requires money. Money does not grow on trees. Cut off the money, we cut terrorism off at the knees. So where does terror money come from?

Bob Beauprez: Russian Terrorist Connections to Boston Bombers— Two weeks after the Boston Marathon bombing we are still learning new information – and generating new questions. The following article by Valery Dzutsev published yesterday in the Jamestown Foundation’s Eurasia Daily Monitor.

Michael Ledeen: The Myth of the ‘Homegrown Terrorist’—The vast majority of terrorists on American soil are not homegrown. Ask yourself the obvious question: how did they go bad? From JFK’s assassin to the Fort Hood killer, most of them found meaning in life in violent ideologies that turned them against their countrymen and, profoundly, took them away from home.

Ant Katz: Threat to sue vs. public interest…— After well-known Zionist writer Steve Apfel wrote “A Tale of Two Tyrannies,” a parody of well-known anti-Zionist and BDS campaigner Prof Steven Friedman this week, he decided to send the latter a copy. A war of words erupted in e-mails between the two Stevens as they slugged it out.

Steve Apfel: Should a Pro-BDS-Activist Jew Address a Jewish Group?— What great principle is violated when a Jewish academic, unexceptional except for his vocal support for boycotting Israel, speaks on some tepid topic at the South African Union of Jewish Women? What makes it wrong? Or, how is it wrong?

Thomas Sowell: Is Thinking Obsolete?— While it is not possible to answer all the e-mails and letters from readers, many are thought-provoking, whether those thoughts are positive or negative. An e-mail from one young man simply asked for the sources of some facts about gun control that were mentioned in a recent column. It is good to check out the facts — especially if you check out the facts on both sides of an issue.

Todd Starnes: Religious Groups Fear Christian Purge From Military— Religious liberty groups have grave concerns after they learned the Pentagon is vetting its guide on religious tolerance with a group that compared Christian evangelism to “rape” and advocated that military personnel who proselytize should be court martialed.

Michael Brown: A Homophobic Nightmare— I had a disturbing dream last night. I guess you could call it a homophobic nightmare. The fact is, wherever I turned in the dream, from McDonald’s to ESPN, charges of “homophobia” and “transphobia” were flying.

14--Blessings from Revelation

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
