Seek God
God created you for a purpose and gave you a unique mission to fulfill. Your role in God’s creation may be a starring role or a supporting role, but whatever it is, it is exclusively yours. Paul explained it this way:
“For we are His (God’s) workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2: 10
Your quest should be to know God and to discover His plan for your life. In the end, His plan for His creation will be fulfilled no matter what you do, but your standing with God will be determined by your willingness to seek and obey Him. Jesus said it this way:
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” Matthew 7: 21
Jesus also said that a person who hears His Words and obeys Him is like a man who built his house on rock (Matthew 8: 24) and that a person who hears and doesn’t obey is like a man who built his house on sand (Matthew 8: 26). When storms in life appear, and they will come, the only way to be safe is to have a solid foundation — a foundation that is built on the Rock. Please do not underestimate the importance of obedience in the lives of believers.
Our top priority must be to know God and His plan for our lives, and then to obey Him. Jesus said the Father reveals Himself and our role in His plan when we seek Him:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7: 7-11
God answers prayer, and He does it generously — “…beyond all that we ask or think.” (Ephesians 3: 20) The consequence for not seeking God is permanent rejection. Take a look at these verses of Scripture and see if that is not exactly what He said:
- “…for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.” 1 Chronicles 28: 9
- “Yahweh is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.” 2 Chronicles 15: 2
God wants us to seek Him out. Then He lets us find Him. It would be great if God would write out individualized instructions for us and give them to us early in life. Then we could glide through this life with confidence knowing exactly what we are supposed to do next, but that’s not how He does things. He wants us to trust Him each step of the way and to seek His guidance every step we take.
God could have created an army of robots who would obey His every command without hesitation — unthinking machines seeking only to please Him. It would have been much easier for God if He had done it that way. Instead, He created a world full of people like you and me — stubborn people who are self-centered and mean-spirited at times, and He gave us power to reason and choose.
God is our loving Father. He has hopes and aspirations for us that are like the ones we have for our children. He feels our pain, knows sorrows, understands what gives us joy, and senses our deepest emotions. God wants us to know Him that way — the way He knows us, and He wants us to see things from His perspective.
The only way to discover what God wants us to do, and then make sure we don’t go astray after we know, is to stay in close contact with Him through prayer and Bible reading. We ignore them at our own peril.

Jeremiah 50: 44-46
“Behold, one will come up like a lion from the thicket of the Jordan to a perennially watered pasture; for in an instant I will make them run away from it, and whoever is chosen I will appoint over it. For who is like Me, and who will summon Me into court? And who then is the shepherd who can stand before Me?” Therefore hear the plan of Yahweh which He has planned against Babylon, and His purposes which He has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: surely they will drag them off, even the little ones of the flock; surely He will make their pasture desolate because of them. At the shout, “Babylon has been seized!” the earth is shaken, and an outcry is heard among the nations.

His Name is Yahweh explains why the Name of God, Yahweh, is so important. It’s available in eBook format and in paperback.
- God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
- “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
- “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)

Stand! is a suspense novel that exposes the lies, corruption, and greed underlying the theory that man-made CO2 emissions are responsible for global warming. Professor Wes Carlyle and Karen Sterling, his research collaborator, carefully scan the audience for their would-be attacker—a member of the enviro-gestapo who has been following them for days. Wes spots his man in the back of the room leaning against the wall. Suddenly, another man in the audience steps forward and moves toward Karen at a menacing pace. With a vicious stroke, he swings a billy club at her head. Click here to order the eBook. Click here to order the paperback.

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now. There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone. Click here to order the eBook.
