Falsely Accused

Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide. It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided. They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make. As they say, forewarned is forearmed.

Sukkot 2011 in Grand Prairie, Texas—Part 3

Melvin Davis is a gifted musician. I met Melvin last year at Sukkot in Grand Prairie, Texas when we worked together with the youth at lunch. This year, Melvin focused on music, and I taught in the evenings and at lunch with the youth. Below is a video of Melvin singing an old Negro spiritual before an evening session at Sukkot this year:

If you have never celebrated Sukkot, you should plan to do it next year. It’s also called the Feast of Tabernacles or the Feast of Booths. It’s one of the mandatory feasts. In fact, when Yahweh returns, the whole world will celebrate Sukkot or suffer the consequences:

“Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh Sabaoth, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh Sabaoth, there will be no rain on them. If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which Yahweh smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. (Zechariah 14: 16-19)

You can’t read that passage of Scripture and conclude that Yahweh didn’t mean what He said or that Sukkot isn’t mandatory, even now. I’ve mentioned this in several SnyderTalk video commentaries. The Messiah was most likely born during Sukkot. We know for sure that He wasn’t born in December, and we also know that our Christmas celebration is based on pagan traditions celebrating the return of the sun god.

It may have made sense to fourth century Christians to combine the celebration of the sun god in Rome with the celebration of the Messiah’s birth, but it has never made sense to Yahweh. In fact, it goes against everything Yahweh said about worshipping false gods in any way, shape, or form.
