Then if they will really learn the ways of My people, to swear by My name, ‘As Yahweh lives,’ even as they taught My people to swear by Baal, they will be built up in the midst of My people. But if they will not listen, then I will uproot that nation, uproot and destroy it,” declares Yahweh.

Either you are for Yahweh or you are against Him. There is no middle ground for people who can’t decide.

Below is a very short list of recent news headlines dealing with the Middle East. Scanning the headlines and reading a few of the articles will give you some idea what Israel is up against.

Israel’s problem isn’t Egypt, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Qaeda, or the Palestinian Authority to name just a few. Israel’s problem is an Arab world that refuses to even recognize her existence. It’s true that Israel signed peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, but the “Arab Spring” has proven that those pieces of paper aren’t worth very much. Both Egypt and Jordan could turn against Israel in the blink of an eye under the right conditions, and as we have seen, conditions can change quickly in the Middle East.

Arabs see Israel as the enemy, and the Arab street is committed to Israel’s destruction. Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, and a host of other Islamist groups with menacing names take full advantage of Arab animosity toward Israel, and they use all the resources at their disposal to incite violence against Israel. If you read SnyderTalk, you know that. What is the problem in Washington? Are our elected officials unable to understand what is taking place right in front of their eyes?

This much is certain. Yahweh made promises about the Promised Land. It belongs to Abraham’s descendants through Isaac and Jacob. Nothing can change that. Failing to take Yahweh seriously is a fatal mistake that we should avoid at all costs, but our elected officials act as though Yahweh is totally irrelevant. That is the most dangerous mistake of all, and it’s a mistake that has serious consequences.

It’s time for Yahweh’s people to take a stand and let their voices be heard. Yahweh will not endure our rebellion against Him indefinitely. Whose side are you on? Make no mistake. Every one of us must choose sides. Either you are for Yahweh or you are against Him. There is no middle ground for people who can’t decide. No decision is a decision against Yahweh.
