Listen up readers, and let this sink in. The head of the PA is much more afraid of his own people than he is of the Israelis. For 62 years, so-called “Palestinians” have been taught that Israel and Jewish people in general are their enemies. They learned it in school, at home, and at the local mosque. Virtually every so-called “Palestinian” alive today has been thoroughly indoctrinated. In their minds, anyone who signs a peace treaty with Israel is a traitor. To them, the act of signing a peace deal with Israel is an act of treason, and the punishment is death. That’s why I coined the phrase “The Palestinian Two-Step”. It’s a little dance Palestinian leaders do as they pretend to want peace while sowing the seeds of war. In other words, no deal. FYI, it’s the same dance Hitler did prior to World War II, only then it was “The Nazi Two-Step”. That should tell you something. In case you are wondering who really owns the Promised Land, take a look at the Page in the column on the right titled “Yahweh’s Promises Concerning the Promised Land”.

“For here we are not afraid to follow the truth wherever it may lead, nor to tolerate any error so long as reason is left free to combat it.” (Thomas Jefferson)

Scripture:

Today I’ll show where Yahweh’s Name belongs in Romans chapter 14:

Romans 14

  1. Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions.
  2. One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only.
  3. The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him.
  4. Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
  5. One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.
  6. He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.
  7. For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself;
  8. for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
  9. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Yahweh both of the dead and of the living.
  10. But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
  11. For it is written, “AS I LIVE, SAYS YAHWEH, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD.”
  12. So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.
  13. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this—not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s way.
  14. I know and am convinced in Yahweh Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to him who thinks anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
  15. For if because of food your brother is hurt, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.
  16. Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil;
  17. for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
  18. For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men.
  19. So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.
  20. Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the man who eats and gives offense.
  21. It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother stumbles.
  22. The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
  23. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.

Yahweh Did Prohibit One Group From Using His Name—As Punishment!

Although Yahweh commanded us to declare His Name to the world, there was a time when He forbade the use of His Name by the Jewish refugees in Egypt following the Babylonian captivity in 597 B.C.  But He intended this prohibition as punishment.

When Nebuchadnezzar conquered Judah, he allowed some of the poorer Jewish people to remain in the Promised Land rather than deporting them to Babylon. (Jeremiah 39: 10)  He also appointed Gedaliah as governor (Jeremiah 40: 7), but in a short while Baalis, the Ammonite king, sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to murder Gedaliah. (Jeremiah 40: 14)  Fearful that Nebuchadnezzar would retaliate by annihilating the Jewish people remaining in the land, they thought about fleeing to Egypt, but instead they asked Jeremiah to intercede with Yahweh on their behalf. (Jeremiah 42: 2)

Jeremiah did as they asked, and this is what Yahweh said:

“If you will only stay in this country, I shall build you and not overthrow you; I shall plant you and not uproot you, for I am sorry about the disaster I have inflicted on you.  Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you fear now; do not fear him, Yahweh declares, for I am with you to save you and rescue you from his clutches.  I shall take pity on you, so that he pities you and lets you return to your native soil.

But if you say: ‘We will not stay in this country;’ if you disobey the voice of Yahweh your God, and say: ‘No, Egypt is where we shall go, where we shall not see war or hear the trumpet-call or go short of food; that is where we want to live;’ in that case, remnant of Judah, listen to Yahweh’s word: Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says this: If you are determined to go to Egypt, and if you do go and settle there, the sword you fear will overtake you there in Egypt, and there you will die.” (Jeremiah 42: 10-16 from The New Jerusalem Bible )

When Jeremiah gave them Yahweh’s reply, they accused him of lying (Jeremiah 43: 2) and set off for Egypt, taking Jeremiah with them.  In Egypt, they worshiped false gods thinking that they were prosperous in Israel while they venerated idols. (Jeremiah 44: 16-19)  They did not realize that Yahweh inflicted the Babylonian disaster on them for worshipping false gods, among other things.

Jeremiah confronted them in Egypt and warned them to abandon this vile practice, but they were stubborn and refused to listen.  Thus, Yahweh said,

“I swear by My great Name…that My Name will no longer be uttered by any man of Judah throughout Egypt; no one will say: ‘As Lord Yahweh lives.’” (Jeremiah 44: 26 from The New Jerusalem Bible )

As you can see, Yahweh prohibited a specific group of people from using His Name for a particular time.  He was punishing them for disobeying Him, for worshipping false gods, and for profaning His Name.  Eventually, most of the Jewish people who fled to Egypt for safety were killed in Egypt by Nebuchadnezzar’s army, just as Yahweh said.  It should be clear that Yahweh will not tolerate our willful disobedience or our profaning His great Name.

With this information as background, consider this perspective on the prohibition against writing or saying Yahweh.  The writers of the “Talmudic and Rabbinic sources” referred to by Rabbi Scherman (refer back to the SnyderTalk post for January 29, 2010 for details) institutionalized a punishment Yahweh imposed on an idolatrous group of Jewish people who were violating His Word and His specific commands delivered to them by His prophet Jeremiah.  Read Yahweh’s Word and search for even a hint that He intended for them to do that.  If you do, you will not find it because it does not exist.  Their motives may have been pure, but they dishonored, distorted, and defiled Yahweh’s Word by incorporating as an integral part of their tradition a punishment from Yahweh intended for a specific group of people for a particular time.  What’s more, virtually every modern English Bible translation on the market today has repeated this dreadful error.

News Items of Interest:

Commonsense: Flashback to 2000—Bill Clinton is the US president; Ehud Barak is PM of Israel; and Yasser Arafat is President of the Palestinian Authority.  It’s the Camp David meeting that was supposed to seal the peace deal and make Bill Clinton a Nobel Laureate.  Clinton persuaded Barak to concede everything Arafat wanted…including a huge chunk of Jerusalem.  After what can only be described as a strained attempt to appear to be serious, Arafat turned the offer down.  That prompted Clinton to publically reprimand Arafat and to expose him as the recalcitrant party in the “peace talks”.  To save face, Arafat staged a demonstration and declared another Intifada after granting Ariel Sharon permission to visit the Temple Mount.

Back to the present—this is the problem.  Bill Clinton did not understand then and Barack Obama does not understand now that the Palestinians don’t want peace.  They only want to appear to want peace.  Why?  There are many reasons.  I’ll list a few:

  1. When a peace deal is signed and Palestinian nationhood is declared, world leaders will expect the people running the fledgling state to behave like adults, to keep their word, and to deal with the corruption that is so prevalent among PA higher-ups.  In other words, no deal.
  2. World leaders will expect the nascent state to set up an economy of some kind to support its citizens.  Right now, Abbas and other PA leaders raise money by running around the world like globetrotting beggars taking donations from anyone with a couple of nickels to rub together.  A new state will be required to produce more than hate talk and empty jargon.  In other words, no deal.
  3. There are many more reasons why the PA will not sign a peace treaty, but I’ll close with this one.  Whoever signs the deal for the PA is a dead man.

Commonsense: The only people who are surprised by Fahmi Shabaneh’s belief that he will be assassinated for revealing corruption and sexual abuse in the Palestinian Authority are the woefully ignorant or uninformed and leftist liberal progressives.  A few years ago, a research report revealed that roughly 86% of the money flowing into the PA’s coffers simply disappeared or was misused.  Many on the left feigned surprise when it was revealed that Yasser Arafat had a net worth of about $700 million when he died from complications associated with AIDS—a disease he contracted according to reliable reports while engaging in sexual acts with young Arab boys.  Since Arafat never held a real job and he was not a financier, there is no way he could have accumulated that wealth honestly.  It is common knowledge in Israel that the PA has told its “citizens” they will be killed if they sell land to a Jewish person.  I could go on ad nauseam because there are so many examples of fraud, abuse, and sexual misdeeds among the higher-ups in the PA, but I won’t.  Let it suffice to say, and I am repeating myself to emphasize my point, the only people who are surprised by these revelations are the hopelessly ignorant or uninformed and leftist liberal progressives who will believe anything so long as they don’t have to rethink their basic assumptions which in many instances defy logic and basic commonsense.
