Yahweh Promises a Prophet Like Moses
As the Children of Israel were wandering in the wilderness, Yahweh promised that He would raise up a prophet like Moses to shepherd His people. This is what He said:
“I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you (Moses), and I will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. It shall come about that whoever will not listen to My words which He shall speak in My Name, I Myself will require it of him.” (Deuteronomy 18: 18-19)
The Prophet to whom Yahweh referred in these verses is the Messiah, and He made it clear that the Messiah is a very special Person. He speaks Yahweh’s words in Yahweh’s Name.

Fact is Stranger than Fiction
If you have a story or an amusing anecdote that you want to appear in this section, just email it to me.
Carmine, the red die used in everything from lipstick to Coca-Cola, is obtained exclusively by mashing enormous quantities of the insect Dactylopius coccus, orcochineal. That means those beautiful red lips you see on women’s smiling faces in fashion magazines, on TV, and in the movies are covered with a paste made from dried bugs. And that Coke you like so much, well…enjoy it.

For your information, I’m not a vegetarian, but I am concerned about what obesity is doing (and will do) to our country. The data in the articles above should alarm you. If you look at the health consequences of obesity and the cost of health treatment for those consequences, you should be frightened. If we stay on this path, we are going to bankrupt this nation trying to pay for the totally unnecessary health consequences of obesity. I’ve said it before, but I want to hammer this fact home. You cannot engage in a serious conversation about the cost of healthcare in the U.S. without talking about obesity. Anyone who says differently is either embarrassingly ignorant or lying.
If I’ve offended you, I apologize, but this issue is too important to ignore. As a nation, we’ve avoided telling the truth about this important problem for far too long. This conversation may upset you or it may make you angry, but on SnyderTalk you will get the truth—even the painful truth if necessary. And by the way, if prancing around this issue instead of attacking it head-on were an effective strategy, the vast majority of people in our nation wouldn’t be so overweight and out-of-shape.
Please share SnyderTalk with your friends. Getting accurate information out there is an important step toward solving the problem.
