Celebrity Preachers Profaning Yahweh’s Name
Lately, I have said a lot about preachers. I believe that most of them have let Yahweh down.
Yahweh has an interesting way of explaining what preachers are doing when they let Him down. He says that they are “profaning His Name”.
Most people who don’t know Yahweh’s Name associate preachers with Him. They may call Him “God” or “Jesus” because they don’t know any better, but they have the Person right. Because of who they are supposed to represent, any offenses preachers commit are magnified in most people’s eyes. The same is true for celebrity believers. The better known a person is, the more damage he does if he diverges from Yahweh’s path.
Preachers’ offenses in particular are a black mark against anyone associated with Yahweh and Yahweh Himself. In other words, it’s a big deal.
Today, I want to say a few words about one celebrity preacher, but I can think of many others who deserve careful scrutiny. I wouldn’t give one penny to any of them. I have never met a celebrity preacher, so there is nothing personal in this.
Kenneth Copeland
I cringe when I watch that video. If I were in the jury box and Copeland was on trial, I would say that his answers in that video are lies. To me, he comes across as a shyster. I’m not judging him. I’m just saying that I would not buy a used car from him, or a horse, for that matter.
He’s from Texas, so I thought I would throw that in.
Something in my gut tells me that Kenneth Copeland is fleecing the flock, not feeding it. I could be wrong. I’ve been wrong before. In this instance, my gut feeling is too strong for me to ignore.
Below is another video. It focuses on Copeland insiders who are speaking out about him. I can’t vouch for the veracity of the things they are saying and I know what disgruntled employees can do and say, but something about their testimony resonates with me.
In Leviticus 22:2, Yahweh said,
“Tell Aaron and his sons to be careful with the holy gifts of the sons of Israel, which they dedicate to Me, so as not to profane My holy Name; I am Yahweh.”
Preachers had better watch out. When Yahweh lowers the hammer, it will hit them first and hard. Smug smiles won’t provide any protection when that day comes because Yahweh can’t be deceived.
