President Trump Should Attend the Jerusalem Embassy Opening

On April 26, 2018, I wrote this in a SnyderTalk Comment:

May 14, 2018 will be an important day.  That’s the day a U.S. delegation will be in Jerusalem to celebrate moving the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.  Palestinians are already practicing their Palestinian Two-Step for the occasion.  On that day, I expect them to do what Palestinians do.  President Trump will take notice and act.

If Palestinians conduct another Day of Rage, I expect President Trump to pull out his trusty 2X4 and whomp them upside the head.  What a wonderful day that will be.

Palestinians are begging for an attitude adjustment.  It’s time to give them one.

Now we learn that President Trump may attend the important event in person.  See “Israel ‘completely surprised’ to hear Trump may attend Jerusalem embassy opening”:

Israeli officials professed themselves “completely surprised” Saturday by US President Donald Trump’s remark Friday that he might travel to Israel next month for the opening of the new US embassy in Jerusalem.

Standing next to German Chancellor Angela Merkel at a White House press conference, Trump responded to a question from the Christian Broadcasting Network over who would attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “I may go,” the president said. “Very proud of it.”

The President Should Attend the Jerusalem Embassy Opening

Attending the Jerusalem embassy opening would be a wonderful gesture of friendship by President Trump.  Moreover, by attending the opening, the president would have an opportunity to witness firsthand what Palestinians are really like.

While Israelis are celebrating the embassy opening, Palestinians will go berserk.  See “When Nakba Day meets US embassy move day, expect fireworks in Gaza”:

May 14, 2018, will likely go down in history as one of the most festive days that Israel has ever known. At long last, the United States, the world’s greatest superpower, will move its embassy to Jerusalem. The prime minister will give a speech, joined by his ministers and US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, with — just possibly — a guest appearance by US President Donald Trump himself; a real celebration.

But an “alternative party” is already in the works: enormous Palestinian protest events, with the largest of them planned for the Gaza Strip. Preparations are under way for marches that will set out toward the border fence with Israel. Such a massive event, on the scale of the refugees’ march to the Israeli-Syrian border on the Golan Heights on Nakba Day in 2011, could become problematic for the State of Israel and for the Israeli army — to put it mildly.

Palestinians in Gaza have been practicing for the Jerusalem embassy opening every Friday for weeks.  This article deals with the dress rehearsal that was held last Friday: “Four Palestinians killed by IDF in latest round of Gaza protests”.

Hamas is the Palestinian political party that runs Gaza.  Hamas leaders are orchestrating weekly riots at the Israeli border in preparation for the U.S. embassy opening in Jerusalem in about 2 weeks.  Thousands of Gazans turn out to storm the border knowing full well that Israeli leaders have no choice except to defend the sovereignty of their country.

Hamas leaders want Western media attention.  They put Gazans in harm’s way to get it.  The Western media is being played like a fiddle, and gullible readers, listeners, and watchers of the drivel they shovel out are seriously misinformed.

Palestinian Leaders are Dishonest and Evil

Palestinian leaders are dishonest and evil.  To begin with, the name “Palestinian” is a misnomer.  Yasser Arafat chose that name in the mid-1960s when he declared that Israel should be annihilated and that the Promised Land has belonged to “Palestinians” from time immemorial.

“Liberal progressives” in the Western media bought Arafat’s lie and ran with it.  Arafat’s lie became central to their narrative, and they are still selling it today.  The gist of the Western media narrative is that Israel is the bully in the Middle East and “poor Palestinians” are victims.

Nothing could be further from the truth.  Watch the video below and think about what you would do if a mob like this one attacked the U.S. border:

Israeli leaders warned Hamas not to attack the border, and they told Hamas what the consequence would be if the border was attacked.  That means the border riots are stunts that Hamas stages so people will die.  Those who have lost their lives and those who have been injured have only themselves to blame.

Palestinians want sympathy.  They don’t deserve it.  Israeli leaders are doing exactly what they should be doing.  If President Trump attends the Jerusalem embassy opening, he’ll see for himself what Palestinians are like.  You can bet that Hamas and Fatah are planning something special for that day, because the eyes of the world will be on Jerusalem.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
