Isaiah 38: 15-16—“What shall I say? For He has spoken to me, and He Himself has done it; I will wander about all my years because of the bitterness of my soul. O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit; O restore me to health and let me live!”

Shalu shalom Yerushalayim: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. (Psalm 122: 6)

SnyderTalk Commentary: Don’t be surprised by Mahmoud Abbas’ backpedaling and stalling as we move toward serious peace talks.  He knows better than anybody that if he signs a peace deal he’ll probably be a dead man.  He also knows that his power is dependent on pretending to want peace.  The most he can hope for if peace talks are successful is that he will not be assassinated.  As quickly as a peace treaty is signed, his days as a “world leader” will be over.  The Palestinian people don’t like him, and they know that his corrupt regime is robbing them of a decent living standard.  Bottom line, he will talk peace but there will not be a deal.  He’ll say Israel is at fault just as Yasser Arafat did, and he’ll most likely resort to chicanery in an effort to shift the blame.  I call this the Palestinian two-step.
