More Messianic Prophecies:
Zechariah 13: 7-9 and Isaiah 53: 10—Yahweh struck, or crushed, Him for our sins.
Human beings killed the Messiah (i.e., they “struck” or “crushed” Him), but Yahweh allowed it to happen for our redemption and salvation. Thus, in essence the Father struck, or crushed, Him because of His deep and abiding love for us and because He promised that He would when He ratified the covenant. The Messiah’s death for our sins initiated the New Covenant. He redeemed us by shedding his own precious blood.
Isaiah 53: 12—He is our intercessor before Yahweh the Father.
Isaiah 8: 14-15—He is a stumbling stone for both houses of Israel.
This prophecy was fulfilled following the Messiah’s crucifixion, and to this day the Messiah remains a “stumbling stone” for most Jewish people. At the End of Days, Yahweh will solve this problem.
Isaiah 11: 10—Gentiles followed Him.
Isaiah 53: 3—He was rejected by His own people.
Overwhelming evidence presented in the Scriptures compels us to conclude that the Messiah’s birth, life, and death were divinely inspired. Yahweh had to make it happen. There is no other rational explanation. In addition, we must conclude that there is, and can be, only One Messiah. His Name is Yahweh.

Commentary
Kudos to President Barack Obama for calling Iran’s hand and for the way he did it. Taking the stage with the leaders of England and France, Brown and Sarkozy, sent a clear message that the U.S. is not acting unilaterally. The possibility of getting Russia and maybe even China onboard is important too. Russian President Medvedev has already indicated his disgust with Iran, but as yet we haven’t heard from Russian PM Vladimir Putin. We’ll keep our eyes on China to see what they do.
I suppose I should extend a special thank you to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as well. His bellicose talk and loudmouthed bluster at long last showed the world—even the hard to convince—who he really is. On top of that, his persistent Holocaust denial finally crossed the sanity line. I think even China must realize at this point that the Iranian president is deranged and dangerous.
That said the problem with Iran is a long way from being solved. As long as Iran has oil revenue and a burning desire to wipe Israel of the face of the planet, the world teeters on the brink of nuclear catastrophe. If nuclear war breaks out and Iran is the instigator, we have no one to blame but ourselves. At least President Obama has set the stage for a united front against Iran. Will his efforts achieve the desired result? We’ll see, but at least a line has been drawn.
