August 5, 2015 SnyderTalk: The POTUS wrote off Jewish Blood for his Pact with the Devil

1--Intro Covering Israel and ME

“And it will come about in the last days that the mountain of the house of Yahweh will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills, and the peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, ‘Come and let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh and to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us about His ways and that we may walk in His paths.’ For from Zion will go forth the law, even the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.” Micah 4: 1-2

Steve Apfel—The POTUS wrote off Jewish Blood for his Pact with the Devil:

Nuclear talks dependent on Iran moderating its craven conduct were never on the cards. Obama strived for one goal, and only one: to stop Iran making The Bomb. So he declaimed, fired up after announcing the deal he had set his mind on getting, come hell or high water. Finally he had chased down the devil and made a pact with it. The POTUS (president of the United States) had his signature legacy and Iran, for a time, would have no Bomb.

Tom Friedman of the New York Times talked to the President at the height of his triumph. He wanted people to know what that triumph really was. “Don’t judge me on whether this deal transforms Iran. Judge me on one thing: does the deal prevent Iran from breaking out with a nuclear weapon for the next 10 years, and is that a better outcome for America, Israel and our Arab allies than any alternative on the table?”

This table played a much bigger role than tables normally do. Above all it had to be clutter-free. Any side issue, if it offended Iran, had to be taken off the table. For that reason the issue of Americans held hostage was removed. So was Iran’s vicious rhetoric against Israel, not to mention its world-wide web of terrorism. Had America and its partners brought these and other side issues to the table, Iran would have turned around and walked away. Then it would have made The Bomb. According to Obama.

So mullahs and ayatollahs were free to threaten a mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv. And chant death to America. Add Obama’s well-known aversion to bombs from the sky or boots on the ground, and considering the ephemeral red lines he draws, Tehran grasped that targeting Jews, or Israel itself, would invite no reprisal. To the contrary: America would protect Iran.

Had the President not looked the other way when Iran acquired ground-to-air Russian S-300 missiles that could block an Israeli assault on nuclear silos? Had he not slipped into the back of the nuclear agreement a pledge to co-operate “through training and workshops to strengthen Iran’s ability to protect against, and respond to nuclear security threats, including sabotage.” Here was Obama protecting Iran from Israel. Not vice versa. It was not just the deal of the century but the swap of the century: firm friend for a reptilian foe.

SnyderTalk Comment: Steve hit the nail on the head.  I wish more Jewish people were as realistic about Obama and Israel’s predicament as he is.

We are heading toward something that will scare the living daylights out of most people, but they don’t seem to notice.  Either that or they just don’t care.

Candidly, I wonder if there is any hope for people who don’t get it at this point.

Pray for the best and prepare for the worst, because I think the worst is what we’re going to get.

Question: when did Lot’s wife wake up to the depravity surrounding her?

Answer: she never woke up.  She “turned into a pillar of salt”. (Genesis 19: 26)

For your information, “turned into a pillar of salt” is an idiom.  It doesn’t mean that she became a literal pillar of salt.  It means that she was scared to death, literally.

Lot’s wife was so frightened by what she saw when she snuck a peek against Yahweh’s explicit command that she died on the spot.  I think many people are going to suffer a similar fate.

Wake up America.

Vijeta Uniyal—The Islamic State’s Campaign Plan:

  • ISIS wants to trigger this final conflict by unleashing attacks on Indian soil. If the U.S. comes to India’s aid, ISIS would declare a global Jihad, calling upon a billion Muslims to heed the call.
  • Despite the propaganda onslaught by ISIS, Indian authorities have apparently not yet grasped the true nature of the conflict between ISIS and India that is unfolding before their eyes. As ISIS raises an army among Indian Muslims and publicizes its apocalyptic goals for the Indian subcontinent, some in the Indian establishment still hope to lure the ISIS rank-and-file with government-funded welfare programs.
  • “Accept the fact that this caliphate will survive and prosper until it takes over the entire world and beheads every last person that rebels against Allah. … This is the bitter truth, swallow it.” — The Islamic State.

James Carafano: How the Iran Deal Complicates Israel’s Approach to Iran— The Vienna Agreement overseeing Iran’s nuclear program brought no joy to Tel Aviv. “Israel is not bound by this deal with Iran,” declared Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “because Iran continues to seek our destruction.” He then added pointedly, “We will always defend ourselves.” Of course, Netanyahu is right. Israel, like all nations, has the inherent right of self-defense. The crucial question is: How will Israeli choose to exercise that right? The right of self-defense does not demand that a country wait until it is physically attacked before taking steps to protect itself. But there are rules—and they mark the difference between preventative war and pre-emptive action.

Deutsche Welle: Saddam Hussein, the Gulf War and the new Middle East— It was a provocation. Kuwait had increased its oil output to the disadvantage of other oil producers, flooding the market with surplus barrels and pushing down prices. Neighbors encouraged Kuwait to stop its surplus production immediately, no matter what the cost. The country, however, continued to produce oil, and Iraqi President Saddam Hussein thought it time to teach his tiny southern neighbor a lesson. On August 2, 1990, he ordered Iraq’s army to attack. Kuwait was quickly occupied. Saddam did not know, or did not anticipate, that his troops would leave the country almost as quickly as they had invaded it. By August 7, US President George Bush had sent troops to protect Saudi Arabia, christening the mission Operation Desert Shield, and he would need only a few months to form an international coalition capable of striking if needed. The United Nations repeatedly demanded that Iraqi troops withdraw from Kuwait, but Saddam ignored the appeals, thus setting Operation Desert Storm into motion. On January 17, 1991, the international coalition launched its first airstrikes on Baghdad. Five weeks and more than 100 airstrikes later, coalition ground troops marched into Iraq and Kuwait on February 24. They met with very little resistance, and five days later Saddam’s forces were completely defeated. “The mother of all battles,” as Saddam had called it, set into motion the events that would bring the dictator down 12 years later, when the United States – now led by Bush’s son George W. – invaded Iraq a second time.

Adi Schwartz: Israel’s Best Diplomat Offers Hope to the Entire Middle East— When George Deek uses the word “we” in a conversation, it is not entirely clear whether he means “we Palestinians,” or rather “we Israelis,” or perhaps “we Westerners,” or even “we Arabs.” At the age of 30, with a constant five-o’clock shadow compensating for his baby-face and thin silhouette, he is both an Israeli diplomat, representing the Jewish state, and a descendant of a Palestinian family who fled its home during the Arab-Israeli War of 1948. His cousins live today in Canada, Dubai, Damascus, and Ramallah, and some of them are considered by the United Nations to be refugees of that same war. This personal tension came fully into being last summer, during the war between Israel and Hamas, when Deek was Israel’s chargé d’affaires in Oslo. He presented Israel’s positions and defended its actions, while Norwegian TV networks were screening endless footage of destruction coming out of the Gaza Strip. He explained how the Israeli army works, without ever serving in it. He spoke on behalf of Israel, when none of his viewers and listeners knew that he was actually (also) a Palestinian.

Ronda Robinson: When Emory Expelled Jews— It was the summer of 1952 and Americans were prospering. Perry Brickman had just completed his first year of dental school in Atlanta, Georgia. During break he was living at home with his parents in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and he opened a letter that would change his life — and from which he would not fully recover for 60 years. Brickman received word from Emory University School of Dentistry that he had flunked out of its four-year program and he need not bother returning. A year later, Brickman’s three Jewish classmates were summarily dismissed. Brickman was stunned and mortified. A B-plus student in biology as an Emory undergraduate, he had earned early admission to dental school and never failed a course in his life. Not once had a professor or the dean called him in to say he wasn’t doing well.

Raymond Ibrahim—Christians Burn While Pope Worries about “Worldly” Matters:

  • Although the Egyptian constitution stipulates equality before the law, the judiciary refuses the testimony of Christians against Muslims in courts. Islamic law maintains that the testimony of an “infidel” cannot be accepted against a Muslim.
  • Al Azhar University in Egypt continues to incite Egypt’s Muslims against Christians. Most recently, the university was exposed distributing a free booklet dedicated to discrediting Christianity. It is full of direct attacks on Christianity in general and the nation’s Coptic Christians in particular. Islam is hailed as the true and superior religion. No mention of violent Islamic conquests is made.
  • More than 200 girls, mostly Christian, remain missing in Nigeria after Boko Haram kidnapped them in 2014. Escapees testify that some were told to slit the throats of Christians and to carry out suicide attacks. Girls who cannot recite the Koran are flogged.
  • The “lawyers” of a Christian man imprisoned in Pakistan on the charge of desecrating the Koran last May are actually working against him. Faisal’s lawyers officially canceled the request for bail, previously submitted by other lawyers.
  • Christians and others in the southern Philippines say they fear that legislation meant to create an Islamic sub-state — legislation meant to appease Islamists — will only create more extremism against Christians. Critics say it would render the federal government powerless to redress human rights abuses under Islamic law. In some areas, violence has been increasing, including trademark Islamic attacks on churches and nuns.

Bruce Abramson: The Decline—and Fall?—of Religious Freedom in America—Religious freedom in America is under threat, and the battle is already in progress. For the most part, the burden of the struggle has been borne by Christians. America’s Jews, living safely behind the front lines, have paid little heed. But that safety is likely to be ephemeral. If freedom falls for those now fighting for their religious rights, it can fall for all, prominently including a community characterized by its attachment to an ancient and traditional moral code and defining ritual practices. The threat emanates from a classic question: what is the proper relationship between church and state? The tension is as old as recorded history. It appears in the Epic of Gilgamesh and throughout Greek mythology. Some societies, from the pharaohs of ancient Egypt to Japan’s chrysanthemum throne, imbued their rulers with divinity. In Christendom, western kings answered to the pope while eastern churches supported the emperor. In Islam, the caliph held titles of both temporal and spiritual authority. England maintains an established church still today, while France severed its formal ties to Catholicism more than a century ago. In Jewish tradition, the Second Temple period was replete with conflicts between royals and priests—hence the rabbinic reluctance to embrace the Hasmoneans, priestly usurpers to the throne whose victories are celebrated annually by today’s Jews at Ḥanukkah. In modern-day Israel, selected areas of civil governance have been relegated entirely to religious authorities.

Uzay Bulut—Jihad on Non-Muslim Places of Worship in Turkey

  • “Peaceful coexistence,” it seems, is a concept truly foreign to Islamic supremacists. Many pious Muslims seem to think that if Islam is the only true religion, why should one need the immoral, untrue religions or philosophies that lead people astray?
  • Turkey also has an Alevi community, estimated in the tens of millions, but the number is only approximate. Alevis in Turkey (and Catholics, Protestants and others) are legally “non-existent.” And as you cannot conduct a census on a group of people who are legally “non-existent,” you just count them as “Sunni Muslims.”
  • “As far as the legislation is concerned, worshipping in a building that does not have legal status or calling a building a cem house, church or similar may lead to prosecution.” — Mine Yildirim.
  • One hears that “Islam is a religion of peace.” But what many Westerners fail to understand is that this “peace” takes place only after everyone has converted to Islam. No other ideology has enjoyed the luxury of being praised as the “religion of peace” while providing exactly the opposite.

Ken Thorbourne: Poll: Who would make a better president, Hillary or Joe?— Except for the quixotic campaign of Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton seemed to have a clear path to the Democratic nomination for president of the United States. But over the weekend, there have been numerous reports that Vice President Joe Biden is thinking about jumping into the 2016 presidential sweepstakes, which would set up an epic battle for the Democratic presidential nod. In her New York Times column, Maureen Dowd revealed that in his dying days, Biden’s son Beau, tried to make his father promise him that he would run for president. Biden’s other son, Hunter, reportedly echoed Beau’s call to run, telling his father, “It’s who you are.”

SnyderTalk Comment: That’s a trick question.  The answer is “none of the above”.

Fox News: Obama approves using US air power to defend Pentagon-trained Syria rebel forces—President Obama has approved using American air power to defend U.S-backed rebels in Syria from attacks by President Bashar al-Assad’s forces or Islamist groups, increasing the chances of direct conflict between Washington and Damascus. Under new rules of engagement proposed by the Pentagon and approved by the White House last week, forces trained and equipped by the Pentagon would receive cover from U.S. aircraft. Only about 60 rebels have graduated from the U.S-led training program. The new rules were first reported Sunday by the Wall Street Journal. The Pentagon has downplayed the possibility of conflict between U.S. aircraft and Syrian government forces, saying that the Pentagon-backed fighters were committed to fighting the Islamic State terror group (ISIS), not the Assad regime. “We view the Syrian forces trained and equipped by the Department of Defense as partners in the counter-ISIL effort,” Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis told Fox News, using another acronym for ISIS. “These forces are being provided with a wide range of Coalition support in their mission to counter-ISIL, which includes defensive fires support to protect them.”

Tsivya Fox: How a Palestinian Terrorist Saved the Life of the Temple Mount Rabbi—Abdel Rahman Al-Shaludi, a Palestinian terrorist from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, is credited for saving the life of Rabbi Yehuda Glick, the world-renowned Temple Mount activist and head of the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation. Sharing his miraculous recovery with Breaking Israel News, Glick warmly stated, “First and foremost, I thank God, who obviously feels I have more work to do getting the Temple Mount opened to Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. I am also grateful to people all over the world who have been praying for me.” The story begins on October 22, 2014 when Al-Shaludi plowed his car into a group of Israelis exiting the light rail train station near Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem. He killed three-month-old baby Chaya Zissel Braun and Karen Yemima Muscara, a woman in her twenties. Muscara, originally from Ecuador, was in Israel to convert to Judaism. Seven others were injured in the attack as well.

Israel Today: Israeli Christian Children Connect to Aramean Roots—It is time for most children in this region to head off to summer camp, and the Arabic-speaking Christians largely concentrated in Israel’s north are no exception. But while Israeli Jewish children will be doing largely recreational activities and Palestinian kids in Gaza will be training for violence at the hands of Hamas, the Christians will be reconnecting to their ancient Aramean roots. The Israeli Christian Aramaic Summer Camp began last Thursday under the auspices of the Israeli Aramaic Christian Association (ICAA) in the Galilee town of Kfar Baram. Prior to the start of the camp, the ICAA published the following Hebrew-language press release.

Khaled Abu Toameh—Who Is Destroying the Palestinian Dream?

  • Hamas’s totalitarian rule over the Gaza Strip seems to be nearing its end, as the Islamist movement faces increased challenges from various militias in the area. Many Palestinians are worried that Gaza will fall into the hands of Islamic State or Al-Qaeda.
  • “By Allah’s will, we will uproot the state of the Jews and you [Hamas] and others will vanish as the Gaza Strip will be ruled by sharia, whether you like it or not.” — Spokesman for the Islamic State.
  • In public, Hamas leaders do not admit that their movement is being challenged by Islamic State and Al-Qaeda supporters in Gaza. It is more convenient for them to blame “Israeli occupation” for the violence, on the pretext that only Israel is interested in removing Hamas from power. This claim, however, has proven to be untrue.
  • It is time for the international community to realize that the Palestinian dream of establishing an independent state is being destroyed by none other than the Palestinians themselves.

Amber Phillips: How the Planned Parenthood debate could cause another government shutdown—Abortion is back in the center of American politics — and it’s not likely to go away anytime soon. Senate Republicans held a vote Monday evening to defund Planned Parenthood by stripping $528 million in federal funds for the organization, whose officials were seen on clandestinely taped videos speaking casually about what to do with tissues of aborted fetuses. (Planned Parenthood officials have apologized for their tone but denied they discussed illegally selling fetal tissue for profit.) The vote failed a procedural hurdle. And even if it had passed and also made it through the House, President Obama promised to veto it. But unlike other political dramas that fade after a vote or two in Congress to satisfy outraged lawmakers and activists, the Planned Parenthood storm has the potential to gather oxygen and suck in everything around it — up to and including this fall’s debate to fund the government.

SnyderTalk Comment: Imagine that.  Democrats are willing to shut down the government to protect what they say is a woman’s “right” to murder her child.  Actually, they don’t say it exactly that way, but that’s exactly what they mean.

Interestingly, most of them feel the same way about abolishing the constitutional right to bear arms.

There is no constitutional right to commit murder.  If you are a Democrat or you vote for Democrats, you need to know what you are supporting.  This is not a candidate thing.  It’s a political party thing.  If you vote for a Democrat, you get what they stand for, and that’s not good.

See “Scarborough Rips Elizabeth Warren’s Planned Parenthood Rhetoric”.  It’s not Warren’s rhetoric.  It’s the mantra of the Democrat Party.

IDF Soldiers in Uniform Blocked from Ascending Temple Mount

Bomb blasts outside two New Mexico churches disrupt Sunday services

SnyderTalk Comment: See “New Mexico Gov. Martinez: ‘Coward’ Set off 2 Church Blasts”.  I’m afraid that the U.S. is just beginning to get wakeup calls.  The “B Strong” mantra and other similar slogans make good headlines, but I prefer the “Don’t B Stupid” approach.

By our actions and inaction, we have unleashed forces that are can’t be contained easily.  From the disastrous Iran deal to careless importation of Islamists and settling them in communities that are ill-equipped to handle the problems they bring with them to failing to deal with illegal immigration, we have created smoldering fires all over the country that can erupt into a blazing infernos in an instant.

Making matters worse, we have a president who is determined to shove his agenda down our throats, and he won’t let up.  On top of that, we have a Congress that has failed to do its job.

Right now, we are witnessing the actions of lawless types.  Just wait until law-abiding types have had enough of this nonsense.  When law-abiding citizens accept the fact that they can’t trust their own government, all bets are off.

Personally, I still have a hard time believing that this is the United States.  I don’t like it, but as Walter Cronkite used to say, “That’s the way it is.”

As I said, I think it’s just getting started.

Baltimore sees 11 shootings, 2 of them fatal, in the first days of August

SnyderTalk Comment: See “Maryland Gun Laws and Their Impact on Baltimore”:

“When the Maryland General Assembly passed one of the strictest gun laws in the nation in 2013, gun control advocates made sweeping statements about how the legislation would prevent gun violence, reduce the criminal element and save lives. Gun advocates, who were against the Firearm Safety Act, thought that the Maryland gun law infringed on Second Amendment rights. Of concern were aspects of the law that banned 45 different assault weapons, put a capacity limit on gun magazines and significantly increased the licensing requirements for handgun purchasers including mandatory fingerprinting.”

I’m glad that Maryland has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation.  Imagine how bad it might be if law-abiding citizens were allowed to own guns for self defense.

Question: where did those people get those guns and did they know that it is illegal to own them and to use them to commit murder?

Answer: of course they knew.  They don’t care because they aren’t law-abiding citizens or they are crazy.

The only people hurt by gun restrictions are law-abiding citizens.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 17

8 Then Amalek came and fought against Israel at Rephidim. 9 So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose men for us and go out, fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will station myself on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.” 10 Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses’ hands were heavy. Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other. Thus his hands were steady until the sun set. 13 So Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite.
