You Will be Called a Racist if You Oppose Barack Obama

I need to give you a warning before you read any further.  Anyone who opposes Barack Obama will be called a racist.  Obamanistas believe name-calling is the secret weapon that will bring them victory in 2012.  I can’t fault them too much because that’s the only arrow in their quiver that has a sharp point.  All the others have dull tips or no points at all because they’ve been blunted by the president’s performance.  That’s why Obamanistas can’t use the facts and can’t defend him against the facts, so get ready.  They will call you a racist or anti-science or backward or a Neanderthal or worse.  Unfortunately, that strategy will work on some people since no one wants to be vilified.  Don’t give in to their abuse.  Stand your ground and tell people what you know.

One more thing.  I was a Democrat from the time I was a child until 1986.  That’s when I completed my assignment as Governor Chuck Robb’s (D-Virginia) Policy Advisor for Regulatory Reform.  When I understood what the Democratic Party stands for, I had no choice but to get out.  The Democratic Party today stands for 3 things:

  1. the “right” of a woman to take the life of her unborn child for any reason whatsoever without fear of consequence,
  2. the “rights” of perverted people to practice their perversions openly without penalty or even criticism, and
  3. the creation of a socialist welfare state where the federal government is in charge of almost everything.

That’s why Obamanistas will never relent.  President Obama is their man even though he has a miserable performance record because he stands for what they believe in most.  Don’t waste your time trying to persuade an Obamanista to switch sides.  You would be more successful trying to convince a skunk not to stink.

Obama’s Gift of Gab is a Double-edged Sword

President Obama loves to talk.  His penchant for giving speeches is based on his demonstrated success on the stump and his belief that “talking” and “doing” are synonymous.  Talking is one of Obama’s problems too—probably his most significant problem.  He talks too much.  Even his most enthusiastic supporters know that.

Several catchphrases find their way into most of Obama’s speeches.  For example,

  • “This is not about me.”
  • “I inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression.”
  • “Let me be perfectly clear.”
  • “George Bush…(fill in the blank).”

After a great deal of criticism, the president finally stopped referring to George Bush by name so conspicuously in connection with his economic woes, but he still points his finger at Bush whenever his performance is called into question.  Obama also continues to pepper his speeches with his now famous lines “this is not about me” and “let me be perfectly clear,” but everything he does and says is about him.  That much is perfectly clear.

Barack Obama’s gift of gab is a double-edged sword.  One side of the blade wins him adoration and support.  The other side of the blade infuriates his political opposition.  Thankfully, Obama is not a great communicator on a par with Ronald Reagan, for example.  He hasn’t mastered the art of softening blows that invigorate the right side of the political spectrum.  That’s why you don’t see Republicans leaving the fold and crossing over to join Obama the way a significant number of Democrats did when Reagan ran against Jimmy Carter in 1980.

Obama’s tendency to talk first and think later is a tremendous weakness that we can and should exploit.  His off-the-cuff remarks reveal his true character and embolden those who see what he’s trying to accomplish.  People in the middle of the political spectrum aren’t paying close attention.  They seldom do.  That’s why Obama won the election in 2008.  People in the middle have to be reminded often about what is taking place right in front of them and about how high the stakes are in 2012.

We have another advantage in 2012—something that we didn’t have in 2008.  President Obama has a performance record this time around, and it’s not good.  Even so, the vast majority of voters can be persuaded to believe almost anything, and they will believe almost anything unless we do our job and tell them the facts.

The 2012 Presidential Election will be Won or Lost in the Middle

Thankfully, Obamanistas are not in the majority.  They reside on the far left of the political spectrum—so far left, in fact, that they try to hide their true identities.  They know that the general public would never accept their ideas if they presented them all at once, so they dole them out piecemeal.

One-by-one, little-by-little they introduce parts of their plan, and people hardly notice that things are changing.  They go along willingly because they don’t see the master plan.  It’s like the story about the bullfrog.  As the story goes, if you toss a bullfrog into boiling water, he will jump out and save himself because he has strong legs and quick reflexes, but if you place him in cold water and heat it up slowly, he will eventually die because he doesn’t realize that the water is getting hotter.

That’s the approach preferred by the far left because it works.  We adjust to the world they’re fashioning slowly and methodically in front of our eyes, and we do it without making much of a fuss since the individual changes although offensive to some seem minor to most.  While the far left holds the reins of power, the White House in particular, they use tax dollars to buy off vocal critics, and the general public barely notices that a battle is raging.

Barack Obama is a far left person.  He’s probably the most far left president the United States has ever had.  People with his political beliefs are unelectable in a general election—that is, of course, unless they can convince voters that they aren’t who they appear to be.  Obama’s oratory skills will win over people in the middle of the political spectrum who are uninformed and unwilling to expend the effort to get the facts.  That’s where we come in.  Our job is to give them the facts—neatly packaged and easy to understand.

After three years on the job, President Obama can’t run in 2012 on abstract promises about hope and change unless we let him.  His performance record is a millstone around his neck, but it will mean nothing if we don’t do our job.

The 2012 presidential election will be won or lost in the middle.  People in the middle can be persuaded by facts.  That’s what we have to deliver to them and that’s what this book is all about.  It lays out facts for thinking people to consider.

John Adams said, “Facts are stubborn things,” and the facts tell a story about President Obama that will keep him from winning a second term in office.  But the facts have to be communicated.  That’s why you need to read this book and share it.

President Obama said, “I just have to remind people that here’s one thing I know for certain: The odds of me being reelected are much higher than the odds of me being elected in the first place.”

He’s right.  Even though the facts are against him, the odds of Obama being re-elected are much higher than the odds of him being elected in 2008, and you know what happened in 2008.  Don’t take anything for granted.  President Obama owns the bully pulpit and he controls the purse strings.  This battle won’t be easy, but working together, we can make a difference, so let’s get started.
